UoEM was a wip the same time Motu was. UoEM updated every Sat. The classic new moon moment in UoEM like to have killed me as a wip.

Ok, ladies, what is FAP??

FAP = For authentication purposes.  It's a story by 107yearoldvirgin and I was reading it again for laughs when she pop on line.  It was kismet. 

Forgot to mention...   Gabriel's Inferno was maybe one of my favorite books of all time.    I had already been introduced to fanfic by that point but I had NO idea that it started out as fanfic until much later.       That was good stuff! I can't wait to get my hands on book 3 in the fall!

If you want to read FAP and the University of Edward Masen aka Gabriel's Inferno by Sebastien Robichaud go to the 152 thread and download them.  Both are very good but FAP is a quick read and UoEM much longer.

The first story I read on FFN that impressed me was Cabin Fever as a WIP by coldplaywhore and that other one we've mentioned Love Unscripted.  However, I have read that she denies it was ever a FFN but she understands how people would confuse it as such.  Now I'm really confused. 

By the way, i found out about fanfics the same way. Read FSoG april last year, discovered it was originally MoTU  and found this holy grail called PTS in May. It has been one never ending fun ride since 

Am sure you all are aware I make lists    at the time I joined PTS, there were a bunch of sanctimonious nerds who had nothing better to do in life but point out lemony fanfics in FFN. Many authors had to pull out their works and everyone scrambled to get a copy. Thankfully, many were shared and posted here. After being on the 152 thread, here and a few other twilight threads as well as FFN, I kept downloading and hoarding fanfics. Since my TBR list became too long, I made a list of all that I've read so far in ...you guessed it, a spreadsheet. The first sheet is where i list what i finished reading which i encode in as soon as I am done, so it is in chronological order accdg to sequence read. (Strings by jdbeaner was my very first fanfic) Of course, being the sicko I am, that sheet is duplicated to form 2 other sheets sorted accdg to title and then author.  I haven't gotten round to putting the summaries which i definitely need to do bec in my old age, I tend to forget some stories, specially my not favorite ones. Will see if I get inspired this Saturday after I post the stats.

Most valuable lesson learned in my exercise in doing these lists: Do it right the first time.
It was a royal biatch to go back to old posts for the stats and it will be a major PITA opening FFN or each of the actual fanfics to get the summary.

 

Obviously, my OCD levels have caused me to create the Index and do all sorts of subject line corrections and FOUND notations on the 152 thread.  Watch out, Booked!  When I get tired, I'm likely to bequeath these duties to you!

We call the classic New Moon moment when Bella and Edward separate. I hate it. I can watch New Moon in 20 minutes. The first 10 min, FF, the last 10 min. A lot of people like to use this aspect and I hate it when they do just to have it. Sometimes it is necessary, but most of the time it is not.

I have only read Gabriel's Inferno which stopped when they went to Italy. I have the other book, but will probably read that closer to December when the 3rd book comes out. The 3rd book will be all new material. It will go further than UoEM did.

The classic New Moon moment in UoEM is

I thought that I was the only one that did that with the movie and or the book; when I re read all of the Twilight books, for me New Moon was ok let's read until Edward leaves and the skip until they meet again, and still do with some fics I cheat and read the ending (when they are complete) and read if they have a HEA

Since I don't re-read, I have never skipped anything and I don't peak at the ending. I do wanna know if it is HEA, and that is all I need to know.
