I don't like fics where Bella is kidnapped/taken into slavery, and then ends up falling in love with her abuser.

I remember reading a really confronting one-shot - sorry, I can't think of the title - and Edward was definitely not the normal Edward - he was brutal and kept Bella as a captive for years - rape, abuse, assault. It was actually a really well-written story because it about Bella's fight to survive. There was no love in this one - and no HEA

but the relationship between Edward and Bella is consensual. I did really like EP. It was a WIP when I read it, and the world would stop whenever there was an update! There was quite a bit of POV repetition, but as a WIP, that was ok.

I don't really like BDSM - consensual or not.  I don't mind the B  it's the S&M and D&S parts I get annoyed with.  I could never be a sub, but I also could never hit someone.  Or use a whip.  And when I read? I disappear into the characters.  So if they do something I would never do, I feel uncomfortable, or in the case of a sub/masochist, really annoyed.

Okay, I will give it a try again after I finish It's Just Lunch.  Though right now?  I don't like either of these characters too much LOL.  Edward is a jerk and Bella is annoying.  But the story is flowing, so I will give it a chance.

That's where you are wrong. My host "mom"in England would me drink whiskey (hate it) with honey and lemon. It was great for my cough.

Dooba. But I think she had some kind of accident, she mentions on twitter is hard to walk and that she now has a limp. Her personal life is a bit messy, so she is in a rut. And then she started getting hate reviews about not updating. So yeah...

Vodka is great for a cold.  Though not so much if you took cold meds.

Other than a dust storm that resulted in some nasty accidents, including some unlicensed woman hitting my husband's car (he is fine, the car is probably totaled) we've been having a nice week prior to the heat starting.  It's supposed to be close to 100 tomorrow (F)/37 C or 309.8 K

I was reading her previous fic when I think she had the accident.  It messed up her hip among other things and she has a lot of pain from it. 

I've PM'd and Twittered with her.  She seems nice, I think she is Dutch. I'm okay with where Torn is that it doesn't bother me that it doesn't update.  It's very slow moving, but it is moving. I think she is trying to make it somewhat realistic but is having trouble moving forward at a readable pace. Everyone wants action.  This is not an action-y type story. 

And I enjoy her writing.  It does remind me a little of Loner.  Thank goodness I started reading that one when it was half done. That one took forever and she updated regularly.

I can fully understand her pain - hip pain is not something to be laughed at.

I didn't finish Loner.  I read more than three quarters and and have never been back.
I loved it though but, don't know if I could re-read all that again just to see how it ends.
