Sorry to interrupt the WWF chatter (I can't believe someone had that name  :D), but I just finished Patricia Leever's Cat O' Nine Tails, and I'm wondering why--out of all the great twilight fanfics out there--or better yet how, this got published. It wasn't bad, but it was just okay. I'd have a TBR list a mile long, so I'm disappointed this is how I spent my time. It also gives twifanfic haters just cause, which pisses me off too because it shouldn't represent the field.
What's the fic name/author? :)

This is one of my major gripes.  For some reason the mediocre fics/authors are successful whilst the really good ones (in my opinion) don't seem to have  the same impact.

Yeah, I was like, oh...Pirateward...I could have some of that...

Like I said, it was okay. Anyone have an actionward they just couldn't live without? Cutlass is on my TBR list somewhere...

Does this blurb remind anyone else of a certain couple who shall remain nameless? :D
"When his co-star and real-life girlfriend is caught cheating on him with her married and much older director, A-list hottie, Jack Eversea, finds himself in sleepy Butler Cove, South Carolina. Jack hopes the sultry southern heat in this tiny coastal Lowcountry town will hide him not only from the tabloids and his cheating girlfriend, but his increasingly vapid life and the people who run it. He doesn’t count on meeting Keri Ann Butler. "

Is this Rob real person fic?? (not saying it really is, but damn doesn't it sound like them last summer??)

When an author writes a story (fanfic/real fic) and then writes a prequel, which do you read first?

And why?

I am not playing WWF - I have too many addictions at the moment!

Although if The Boy starts playing, let me know IMMEDIATELY!

I usually read in the order written unless it's in the middle (like a 2.5 story), which means I usually read the prequel later. I like not knowing what I'm not supposed to know. And I usually don't start a series until it's finished.

I just finished Entwined with You (Crossfire Series #3) and here are my thoughts... Don't read if you haven't finished the book!
Sorry but you are not allowed to view spoiler contents.

Now I'm on the hunt for my next fic to read.

I've limited down to these.  Maybe I should put them all in a hat and pick at random?

Antiques Road Show by aerobee82 (vamp)
Creature of Habit by EZRocksAngel (vamp)
Broken Angel - drotuno (vamp)
Distractions - windchymes (vamp)
My Other Half - verseseven (vamp)
Love in My Box - cosmoandmarvar (geek)
Wide Awake - AngstGoddess003 (?)

I read the beginning of the review for Wide Awake over at fictionators and wow, it sounds AMAZING! I didn't read too far because I didn't want any spoilers.

I usually read things in the order written unless I have a very good reason not to...  like a recommendation from a friend not to etc.

OMG - You haven't read Wide Awake yet?  It is a MUST read!  (But don't bother with the epi, I wish I hadn't read it...)
You held out your hand, and I took it without stopping to make sense of what I was doing. For the first time in almost a century, I felt hope.

I haven't read Wide Awake Yet...    That review for it was certainly amazing!     I've been looking around trying to find out if it has an HEA or not.   I can't get all wrapped up in characters and then it not have an HEA.  :)

I don't think many here would recommend a fic so much if it wasn't a HEA...

Thanks - I was thinking order written would be the way to go, but when saving, I have saved in order of plot, and for quite a few - too many to go back and check!

Now I'm not sure what was written first! I'll have to read a/n's when I read a series.

Ok, thanks ladies! I like when someone else makes my decisions.  Wide Awake will be my next fic.    It's on my kindle and waiting for me. :)

I will say that i read the first couple of chapters of Distractions and OH WOW it seems good too!  (i need to remember that when I'm trying to decide what to read after WA)

Wide Awake was one of my first fics, and it's still one of my favorites.

Can someone clue me in what WWF is? All I can think of is wrestling!
