) and I appreciated the way the author dealt with the whole theme without going over the top. Definatelly in my top ten stories. Brace yourself, Edward is kind of a jerk...

I don't think the Crossfire series started as fanfic...  at least I haven't heard it mentioned.   Though, I was shocked when I heard that Gabriel's Inferno & Gabriel's Redemption were fanfic.   If you haven't read those, you better do it!  He will forever be my favorite 'ward!

I just have to say that I don't get the hate towards Kristen either. I agree that I think she got swallowed by the whole Twilight-over-exposed fame thing and that damaged her credibility and what could probably have been a nice indie career.  She isn't a classically trained theater actress - in fact she has no training, but I think she is right for certain types of roles and I hope that she finds her niche now that she can let go of the stigma associated with it all.  I enjoyed SWATH, and I think she did an OK job - but I don't think she's the big-budget action movie type of star.

JDepp as 50 is not a bad choice, he's got that smirk and that glint in his eye that suggests he'd be up to try just about anything. IMO, 50 is more hard body toned than muscle-bound

One more thing, do your husbands/significant others complain/grump about how much time you spend on this site? Or just plain reading?

2) before, my hubby would comment how often i am on my ipad reading a book. Then i was able to convince him to get an iPad mini a few months ago and uploaded his non-fiction books, apps etc. The past 2 nights, he discovered the joy of you tube, being able to watch episodes of sitcoms, talk shows, stand up comedies etc.  Now he understands 

i know we all use "hate" loosely. Just like an expression... "I hate it when that happens"... "I hate mayonnaise/ketchup/mustard/pickles" (which i do  ).

Totally agree that if you become an actor/actress, you have to "pay the dues" that comes with being in the spotlight. You know all those repetitive interviews, nosy reporters, crazy paparazzi are part of the job. So if you are getting into that business, you need to be prepared and be willng to play along. An interview is pre-arranged so smilng shouldn't be a hardship, it's not like you were ambushed, right?

The only thing i don't agree on is the way they are hounded by the paps. Take a discreet picture then leave them alone, don't keep following them around and harassing them. They are still people who deserve some privacy. I know this will never happen as gossip and pictures sell...still feel sorry for them though...

But why some couples get hounded so much?

i look at the Garfield guy and his gf, forgot her name. they are also co-stars on Spider man.
They walk around NY holding hands, no secrets. There are pics of them, but they dont seem intrusive.
I think the problem with Rob and Kristen was that the media wanted to prove they were together.
if there is no mystery to solve there is less interest in it.

I dont follow Lainey gossip, but i read on ONTD that she is very biased towards Kristen, always complimenting her etc. Nothing wrong there, we all have our favorites. they also say she has direct connections to Kristen people. And she posted a blind item that everyone believed it was about K, and how after cheatergate she made  deals with the paparazzi. Thats why we got so many sightings of R and K post cheatergate. And now that its apparently over (they are also saying he got fed up that she kept telling them their whereabouts) the paps apparently cant track him down as easily.
That the whole thing was to prove that Rob had forgiven her and restore her image.

Ajamm, I understood your meaning. Obviously you cant really hate someone you don't know. You can dislike what it is portrayed.

They are all crappy.  Keyboard wise that is. Unless you get an external Bluetooth keyboard.  But then you have a netbook.  I have a Nook tablet and a Samsung tablet and my husband has an iPad.  They are all equally annoying to type on. But great for reading & surfing the net without having to deal with a heavy laptop.  They are so great.
