I do that! I look at the published date and the updated date and work out how long is between them, then I see how many chapters there are and see how often they must be updating! So glad I've found someone who does the same

Meh, I just follow and forget. I'm slowly but surely pulling everything I've followed into Calibre and removing them from my follows list, so I don't so many darned emails. Then I just run the fanfic updater plug in once a week on the ones tagged "in progress" and I'm golden.

Hey! No judgement!!!

I don't mock WIP readers (Lauren, have I taught you nothing???) so don't judge the non-flouncers.

Does anyone else think that flouncing sounds like something a flamboyantly gay man would very well?

I don't mean to come across as judgemental and I'm sorry if I have.

I just don't have the time or inclination to read poorly written drivel.

Talking about what we refuse to read in fics - I absolutely refuse to read anything were the author suggest you get out you BOB (if you know what I mean) or when at the end they say they need theirs or that they need a cold shower! Yeah ... I kind of want to stab myself with a pencil when that happens

I can honestly say I have never read this an authors note!

Sadly I do, Now people don't Judge me because I know this story exist in FF... but It does and I still can't figure out how it is that its still up!!!

I haven't read any fics where the author suggested BOB, although I frequently skip ANs. I have read plenty with shamwow warnings though.

Isn't the shamwow that rag that absorb really good?

Yes, it's a soft absorbent cloth. The inference is that you'll need to soak up some excess moisture after reading the chapter.

Aww, that shamwow guy has probably heard it all. And you'll be amazed at what you can learn on this thread. It's certainly provided me with an education.
