At least she didn't let loose a whale!
Oh, I guess I should have read further before making my comment LOL! ;D

:D :D I was honestly expecting to see whale lol. Especially after the other fic I just flounced because of the terrible grammar, spelling and heterograph confusion.

I'm in Ohio so we are def'y used to dealing with snow, although this morning there were two different pileups on the freeways here (one was 52 and the other was 80 cars, trucks and semis You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login ) because of a very brief period of white out snow. craziness.
So we have this Tule (pronounced toolee) fog that comes down and you can't see more than a few feet in front of your car.  There are a lot of accidents and pile ups when that happens.  Especially when it's dark and you don't see it ahead.

Southern California is the home of multi-car pile-ups, isn't it?

1968  - black leather. I was too young to lust after him then, but many years later, I saw a program that he did in 1968 when he was making a comeback and he was in black leather pants and jacket.  I think he was 30 or 31.  OMG!

Well, there are so darn many of us.  But usually these occur just north of Los Angeles towards Bakersfield.  Or going over the grapevine (a mountainy freeway that hits just over 4000 ft above sea level - with five lanes on each side)

The other piles ups are caused by stupid lookie-loo drivers who break because there is a car pulled over on the side of the road and they need to see why.  In traffic.  >:(

Yes, I remember seeing pics of him.

He walked me down the aisle in Vegas.  And serenaded me & my husband...after we did the Elvis vows.

Okay, it was an impersonator.  But I told my husband if we were getting married in Vegas, I wanted an Elvis wedding  :D :D :D

Maybe I can talk my husband into a vow renewal ceremony in Vegas with Elvis.  It sounds like a great idea.  Plus we could use the pictures to truly embarrass our children.

Well, yeah, isn't that the point?  Got to embarrass the kids - that's half the fun.

No, really, I had a great time.  We had a family wedding later.  We did it partially because my husband was in the military at the time & we were a little worried they were going to deploy him and partially because the my dad's friend the priest wouldn't marry us because we were "living together."  It seems Vegas weddings count  ;D

Yes! So hot.  Too bad he had to go back to the planet he came from....  *shakes head* oh, wait, that was from the Men in Black movie.  I get all confused over what is true and what the tabloids make up.  :D :D :D

Okay, not really.  But I loved it in the movie when they said that!

Well, I think it sounds like a lot more fun than just going down to the courthouse and finding a judge to do the job.  When I was in law school, I clerked for a judge and many afternoons there were quickie weddings, some for military reasons, but not all.  Elvis and Vegas sound a lot more festive.

They even gave us a military discount.   8)

And for some reason, hotel rooms on January 2nd are really cheap.  Especially if it is a Thursday.

But I got to spend the evening in Paris! and Caesar's and New York, New York....

So many new posts overnight! I have to go catch up with them all, I'm having the rest of the day in bed feeling sorry for myself. I got hit in the face by a piece of hail this morning and have a bruise of my cheek, but the placement is such that it looks like I've been dickslapped or had some kind of freak BJ accident.  :o

Edit: hope you don't mind but I C&P your post in the dark thread to keep the Convo flowing.  >:D

After a few drinks, this song makes me the greatest hula dancer in the world!

And yes - that's Angela Lansbury (Murder She Wrote, Mrs Potts from Disney's Beauty and The Beast) - she played his mother in Blue Hawaii!
