*toes ground* I finished the Customs/AirportSecurityward... BAtB was pushed back. I'm just going over for editing and spelling mistakes.

I liked it enough that I went to her FF page, started reading one of her other stories, a Peter, one, got to the end, and realized it was a WIP. :'( :pulling

I went to her page right after and followed whatever else she has going. How long since the Peter one has been updated?

The lemon juice? yeah, not a big deal.  It really doesn't work unless you go out in the sun with it on.  Peroxide would work better.  But knowing me? If I used a bleaching agent (lemon juice or peroxide) I would so be a firecrotch/fanta pants.  Sigh... yeah...

I remember Sun In.  My sister used it,  but I think it made my hair slightly orange.  Not enough bleach for a brunette.

I used to love Sun in, I have brown hair, and it turned mine a nice reddish color.

The down side was it also turned it into straw, so I gave it up. It's not so harsh now though. I let my daughter put it in her hair this summer. Her's is light enough brown that it gave her some nice blonde highlights.

Speaking of color, I need to get some new on mine. Does anyone know of any reds (the nice bright ones) that don't fade super fast? I just colored mine New Year's and it already needs re-done, badly.

Lemony fresh is better than pine fresh.

Really? It is probably your shampoo.  Unfortunately, reds fade easier than anything else.  You may want to try one of those shampoos for red hair, but most shampoos will strip the color.  And Prell/Pert will remove your perm in some cases.  Worst shampoo ever.  Unless you have really oily hair.

Our brands and colours would all be different - but try blending permanent and semi-permanent together. That's what my hairdresser does to me to get colour to stick and stay. She uses the same shade in both (or close to) and then just mixes it before applying.

Really? It is probably your shampoo.  Unfortunately, reds fade easier than anything else.  You may want to try one of those shampoos for red hair, but most shampoos will strip the color.  And Prell/Pert will remove your perm in some cases.  Worst shampoo ever.  Unless you have really oily hair.

Pert and Prell are HORRIBLE!

I know red fades fast, which sucks as it's my favorite go to color. I remember years and years ago I had this shampoo that actually deposited color back into the hair but I don't remember what kind it was or where I got it.

Eyes, maybe not, but fingers, lips, tongue, nose might.

And it's important to be accurate when recording current events  :)

The best solutions for red/purple hues is to wash your hair with cold water. I know, it sucks but it really works.
