I just mentioned this the other day, drives me INSANE. I mean....really. Why in the f*ck put all that silly shit at the beginning/end of a chapter, people don't want to read that. What a waste of time 

I read A LOT of vamp fics....esp with my Jasper obsession. And one thing that drives me crazy? Is when, after the author has made it very obvious they are vamps, they put 'vampire' in front of any word that displays the differences between vamp/human.

Examples:

My superior vampire strength.
I saw so many different colors at once because of my vampire vision.
I could hear noises in the forest for miles out because of my vampire hearing.
I could smell her arousal from across the room because of my vampire sense of smell.
Vampire speed.
Vampire beauty.
Impenetrable vampire skin.
Golden vampire eyes.
Unbreakable vampire body.

  They are vamps. WE GET IT. This is fanfic. We are (um, mostly?) here because of the Twilight books....where we all know they are vampires. It is not necessary to put vampire in front of every word to convey these traits to your readers.

End rant.

I can't remember the story I was reading but I know the 'conversations' were between the author/Jasper/and either Edward or Emmett.  The story was good, once I got down the page to it.

I am a vamp girl, I love the vamp stories, for me this is what it is about, but I have read some really good AH recently.  I will read anything that has Jasper or Peter unless it is absolute drivel, but I like a good Edward story.  My main peev is with Bella, yer I know you all love her, but lately, unless she has a backbone it gets on my nerves.  I just read a story where OC was the leading lady and beat Bella to the punch to get Edward.  Really enjoyed this cos it was different.

I agree with you 100% about the author telling us they are different because they have vamp speed or vamp hearing, etc.  Why tell us what we already know, they are a superior species which is why we read about them!!

Okay, so I too am an AH girl, but I literally just finished reading my new favourite AU fic of all time.. Beyond Time by TKegl. So good! I wish I'd read it earlier, it's been on my TBR but I kept skipping over it. If anyone wants anything to read, try this!

Same here. I wish there were more Jasper and Peter fics out there. I'll def'y put up with more mistakes for a Jasper fic, only because there aren't as many. I'm not looking forward to when I read them all You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

And that's my point exactly, we already know they are enhanced....which is one of the reasons we love them. It doesn't need to be stated all.the.time.

I love vamp fics but the good ones are few and far between.  So I'm stuck with all human

I didn't get much past the first chapter.... I'm not sure why though.  I'm not really into BDSM stuff, but I do love funny stuff. 

Bella as a Domme? How would that work? I mean the punishments would be fruitless

Oh I think that must be the new version of twificcentral in which case they've made the website so much easier! Thanks for posting, my TBR list is looking very low at the moment. Did you read the fic Matron rec'd - Accidental? I loved it, every now and then I have to read a Jasper fic!

It's really easy to search (I love when you can search by pairings) and I have gotten several off the rec'd list that I hadn't flagged yet.

I think this is a different site from twific central, though I can't say that for sure because when I pull up twific central's site it takes forever to load and then it's all screwy

I guess a number of stories have been pulled again on FFnet.  There is a lot of talk over on the Facebook sites.  If they are complete, I may have them, though they will be in mobi or epub. 

But I only get incomplete ones of stuff I'm following. 

Though a lot of the authors post on both FFnet and TWCS, TWCS seems to be down right now.  Sigh.

From what I understand it is the Olderward stuff, though as long as Bella is over 18, I don't see how they can be offended.
