Putting it briefly, I'm wondering if you might be interested in reading my
fic. This is my way of promoting my work out: finding the readers instead of
the readers finding the fic. I do this because it's really hard to find
readers for this kind of fic and this is a way to get it out to readers who
wouldn't have stumbled across it otherwise.

The fic's titled Monster and is in the Twilight fandom. It's based around the
idea that the supernatural Twilight world isn't a fairytale like Bella thought
it was. It has a little bit of everything, from angst and action to fluff and
family/friendship. There's vampire and Quileute parts to it, though it's
leaning for towards being a wolf fic since the non-fairytale part is played
out by a shape shifter struggling against the darker sides of the supernatural
world. The fic starts out as Pre-Twilight with part I introducing the
character and part I follows alongside Eclipse with original twists and turns
and a forbidden romance on the side.

The idea of someone PM'ing to ask for readers is odd, maybe you reviewed a fic of hers before DD? In any case I'd probably not look at it out of spite Can't imagine how many of those messages she must send out.

Twilight role-playing is literally pretending you're a character and then acting out a scene online with your role-playing partner. I find it strange but people seem to love it, so *shrug*

Hell yeah I will save it in my annals.... 

I couldn't hide my excitement from my husband and immediately showed him the tweets as soon as he picked me up from work... the tweets literally happened 10 minutes before he picked me up... the planets were probably aligned, Manu awake, I was about to get off ... work... yeah, am such a happy camper right now 

Thanks - I made it home nice and early although the 40 minute drive took over 2 1/2 hours!

The river reached its predicted peak at midday and is still rising.

There are a lot of locals that aren't as lucky as me though. This time around, it's a double whammy - flash flooding last Friday when we had almost a year's worth of rain in 24 hours, but now the river.

Good news is that all this rain will make the grass grow - and long grass means Sexy Neighbour Boy has to do more more mowing.
