Hellooo everyone!
Whew! Just finished catching up on two days worth of posts and I think everyone has gone to bed  :'( oh well not to worry, I'm sure you'll all be back tomorrow :D it's been busy, busy, busy with greeting the kids back to school. Thought I'd be smart and not leave things till the last minute and bought the kids their gear 3 weeks ago only to have my 9 yo daughter tell me the shoes I bought her are too small the day before school starts!! The same shoes we spent a day trying to find, going from store to store till she found the "right" one. Ugh!! Still couldn't avoid the last minute rush  :pulling :pulling Now I've got about 25 books to contact before tomorrow but I just cbf!

On another note - its my birthday!  :cheer: unfortunately I didn't get a "Rickell" type of birthday morning but it was great all the same. Anyhoo I'm talking to myself now and the contact is calling my name......
:singing :birthday: :birthday: :birthday: :birthday: :singing :singing :88: :You_Rock_Emoticon:

Happy Birthday, hope it was a great one.  :)

I have to say it was a very sweet story. I loved Bella and Edward in this story they were portrayed in a very unique way
Sorry but you are not allowed to view spoiler contents.
I just finished this.  I really enjoyed it. And *whispers* I read it when I probably should have been working.  What can I say, I can only look at spreadsheets so long before I need a break.  Since I work at home? Yeah, reading a few pages is a break LOL!

Most of the time I am really good, but this was a mystery and I love mysteries.  ;D

I will definitely rec it.

My fanfic tolerance/attention span has been low... can only read one shots or those less than 100 pages, then I waste my time with that Twitter me crazy

Started that biker book reaper's property rec'd a few pages back...looks promising, so it might start me on a biker/badboy edward after reading those lovely curvaceous bella ones the other day...

Flood Day Friday - another long weekend. Woohoo! The river is due to peak tonight so this will be my last day off work .

I finally finished First & Ten - cute story, virtually angst-less but a very rushed ending.
Sorry but you are not allowed to view spoiler contents.
. Next, I'm choosing a completed (of course!) but unheard of fic. Wish me luck!

For those of you who are too frightened by our bugs to visit Australia (*cough SavyB wuss cough*), I thought I'd share these with you.
Just another day in the Central Queensland floods.

I heard on the radio yesterday that houses close to the river and low lying areas should be alert - in case a displaced crocodile ventures into the back yard.

Queensland Police Service posted this pic on facebook (which has the most up-to-date flood info) to warn of driving through water-covered roads. This QPS 4-wheel drive picked up a hitch-hiker - a red-bellied black snake.
Though its venom is capable of causing significant morbidity, a bite from it is not generally fatal and less venomous than other deadly Australian snakes.

And this one, because the only thing better than a man in uniform is a man in uniform with a cute baby animal:

Have you read any Kristen Ashley? In particular Sweet Dreams features a biker/bounty hunter, and Motorcycle Man features a bike gang leader. They are parts of different series, but can totally  be read stand alone. I LOVE these books.

I have heard a lot about both of those and freshest dreams last fighting couldn't get into it.... something about the female lead bugged me.

Is the dude in Motorcycle Man possessive?

Yeah. He'll kinda piss you off (like in a MAJOR way) at the beginning, but just stick it out, he more than makes up for it.

Kristen Ashley is kinda....she reminds me of a fanfic writer. She writes really LONG stories, and her earlier works are a little rough (she's self published) with little things like passed/past errors and run on sentences, but she writes some of the most alpha male "mine" characters I've ever read. But I've really loved everything of hers I've read (well, everything but Knight, it had that daddy-kink thing which I hated, plus the hero was a freaking pimp. literally, a pimp)

Her Rock Chick series kinda reminds me of the Stephanie Plum series, only about a different couple every book instead of Stephanie/Morelli/Ranger every book.

Oh I loved the stephenie plum books so I'll have to hunt down the Rock Chick books, thanks!

I think I'll give motorcycle Man a shot once I finish the fic I'm reading right now. I can handle an asshole, I enjoy the angst that it creates. How is the female lead in this one? TSTL?

I finished this story. It has very solid plot , good storyline & very well written character. Gotta say writer has amazing talent because I never cried so much for any bella ever.  :'(  The way she has written homeless bella is so beautiful.Despite of such bad life this bella is so sweet, nice, innocent its heart wrenching.

Most brilliant part of this story:-
Sorry but you are not allowed to view spoiler contents.
As much as i loved this story i do have some complaint as some mentioned earlier its not completely edward-bella story. And by the end i was diapointed. Now i dont care about lemon or romantic fluff  but  In begining  story was perfectly  focus on edward-bella & everything else but after 20 chapter something it became only Bella story. Its like Edward is just secondary character.

Sorry but you are not allowed to view spoiler contents.

I think Author didnt know how to wrap this all points in story  so she finished in  last 4 chapters .& it looked very rushed because she could have write another 10 chapters and handle this issue in detail.

At the end it still good story..Last chapters is just reminder that this bella sooo deserved her HEA. Just dont expect usual EB story here , you will Enjoy it. :)

I don't *think* I remember Tyra being TSTL. In fact, I remember her giving him hell for the way he treated her in the beginning and not letting him get away with it.

I am laughing so hard and I don't know if it's because you are following a pron star on twitter, or because MFHD answered your tweet, or because we're all feeling so happy for you!

I don't know the etiquette in this situation, but...congratulations?

And I don't know if you can use the term "fangirl" when you're talking about someone who makes pron! . Fangirling just seems a little too innocent.

So, i received this overnight on ff.net private message:

Subject: request

Hello! I'm sending this as a reader's request.

Putting it briefly, I'm wondering if you might be interested in reading my
fic. This is my way of promoting my work out: finding the readers instead of
the readers finding the fic. I do this because it's really hard to find
readers for this kind of fic and this is a way to get it out to readers who
wouldn't have stumbled across it otherwise.

The fic's titled Monster and is in the Twilight fandom. It's based around the
idea that the supernatural Twilight world isn't a fairytale like Bella thought
it was. It has a little bit of everything, from angst and action to fluff and
family/friendship. There's vampire and Quileute parts to it, though it's
leaning for towards being a wolf fic since the non-fairytale part is played
out by a shape shifter struggling against the darker sides of the supernatural
world. The fic starts out as Pre-Twilight with part I introducing the
character and part I follows alongside Eclipse with original twists and turns
and a forbidden romance on the side.

That's about it. :] Best wishes,

TBWW"

Ok, guys, please bear with me here as I try to gush this out of my system so I can go back to being "normal"

I blame my cousin, she was the one who "introduced" him to me right before New Year. I started following (stalking) him in twitter...then I finally dared her to tweet him bec he seemed so nice to be responding to some of the tweets... we were a bit devastated that he didn't reply immediately to her tweet. I said fck it I'll join you in your misery of being ignored and created a new twitter account and tweeted him this morning... got no reply.. we figured it was bec he was busy, shooting a film or something so we gave allowances  :D

Lo and behold, I noticed he tweeted near my quitting time or around 1 am in the US. My cousin and I both made a last ditch effort and waited with bated breath to see what happens....
