What is with Kristen always having that same old hair? The guy who apparently does it posted on Twitter when the ceremony was happening asking if people liked it.. general consensus was shock that she had a hairstylist at all! The dress just didn't fit. She needs to get back the stylist she had in Cannes:

Yes - that dress actually gives her some shape and a little colour, and while her hair still looks like it could use a brush, at least it's up and away from her face.

She is obviously going through some lacy/nudy phase:

So I read something about this fic a couple pages ago... I'm not sure if I should read it, I mean I can't think of something so interesting that could be three stories long. I don't know if I should give it a go.

What do you ladies think? Is it worth it? :-*

You should definitely give it a go. That is the gravity series I kept mentioning. It's awesome.

She wants to be seen as sexyyyyyyy.

And I'll say it again, after a cheating scandal, she shouldn't be wearing sexy outfits. She should have gone to the girl next door look. That would be my PR strategy.

I think her stylists are afraid of her. I actually think she is the one that keeps asking this same hair do.

Her Oscar outfit was so ill fitted. She is already too pale, that color washed her out.

Her speech was awfully delivered. I don't think this is an anxiety issue. I'm really thinking its a drug issue. She needs her fix.

The next thing you need to learn is that fics disappear for almost no reason.  If you like it or want to read it, you will need to know about You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

There are many others, but I recommend flagfic because it's the easiest to start.  Also? Though others may argue, PDF is not the best form  for downoloading.  If you have a kindle - use mobi.  Anything else uses epub.  ;D

Great advice! When I first started downloaded I did the traditional pdf....no idea why, just hadn't known about the other formats. Wish I had though because now I have thousands of fics in that nasty pdf format that just doesn't convert right.

I usually feel the same way about Jacob/Bella fics, but I'm really enjoying Crave by taoist elf.  This was recommended by a poster on another site and I can't stop reading it even though it's a wip.  Seriously... I never thought I would like be a Jacob fan and I love non canon couples, but the author writes a very engrossing story and the way she writes Jacob.  So f-ing hot.

Moving to Forks for her senior year, Bella finds a very different Jacob than her sunny, extroverted best friend of the past 17 summers. Taking the concepts of Twilight and spinning them with a dark realism and emotional depth, this is the tale of the havoc that Phasing wreaks on the Rez's young Pack, where youth evaporates in the fires of duty and even love is cursed.

This author had a Paul/Bella fic that was just fantastic-give that one a shot if you enjoy wolf pairings. I think it was called Be Like Water, IIRC :)

I don't think she does drugs. But I agree about the clothes. I think she is trying to be edgy and cool...unfortunately, she isn't. So she just looks like an idiot most of the time. I also wonderhow her hair looked before she started nervously grabbibg it a la RPattz LOL! (Notice hands in hair in the pic with JL)

well, it's unfortunate that drugs (the harder substances; not talking about pot because it's like smoking cigarettes to them) are so ubiquitous and easily available to everyone in this industry.  Most fall into 2 categories: 1. been there, done that and not for me any longer or 2. still doing it and if the public doesn't know about it, then I haven't gotten caught yet.  There is a very very small group that don't do or try anything.  Most smoke cigarettes, especially the younger set because they find out pretty quickly that the smoke breaks are where a lot of networking occurs.

Thank you to the person who recommended Comp Sem 101.  Finished it last night and really liked it!   :-*

Is anyone else reading The Seven Year Itch by Vancouver Canuck Girl about a married B and E having problems (to put it lightly)?  The author said there wouldn't be any cheating, so I'm really curious to see how she writes this story out.  From the first few chapters, you can easily see how some other woman or man could ingratiate him or herself and cause the usual cheating issue, but I like how the author won't be going down the infidelity road.

In any marriage there are complications, hiccups, and speed bumps. After seven years together, Edward and Bella are at a roadblock. A complete standstill. On railroad tracks about to be hit by a freight train. Can Edward face his past, reveal all to Bella and find his happily ever after? Or will knowing the truth push her further away?

It was just ok for me,  heavy on the angst/drama (by my low tolerant standards) specially towards the latter part.

Aside from Just one of the boys, have you guys read any other fic where Bella had to pretend to be a boy? I really enjoyed JOotB specially since it was romantic and funny. Any recs for fics of this nature? Thanks

LOL! I tend to not think of pot as drugs.

And yeah, all the potheads I've known do tend to act like her - so yes, you are right.  She was probably high.

From what Seth was saying - and I did miss most of the Oscars because we went to dinner (stupid thing started at 4:30 p) it sounded like most of the people there were a little drunk.   :D :D

Sorry, when I think drugs, I think heroin, cocaine or meth.

Okay, okay, she probably has done coke. I forget how prevalent it is in the industry.  :021: :banghead: :banghead: :-[

I'm getting too old for this LOL!  And yes, when I was a teen and in my 20's, I had friends (and roommates) who did drugs.
