I think it is more of the fact that more of the younger readers like Jake and more of the older ones like Edward (or Jasper).

I skimmed the first chapter of Complicated (was trying to decide between it and Comp Sem - Comp Sem won and I am loving it - thanks to all who recc'ed  ) and thought it sounded very far fetched.

Though now that I think about it? Both my grandfathers died when my parents were kids.  So I don't really have any reference to them.  Though I know when I've read fics with the same names as my brothers? I have to try hard not to picture them in the character's place.  Yuk. 

My brother's name is Robert. Our last name starts with P.

Nope. No lemons, thank goodness! All 4 of my grandparents are alive, the oldest one (one of my Grandmas) is turning 90 this year. My grandpas are Peter and Kenneth, so Peter turns up a lot in fics, just not usually with my last name attached! My brother's name is of Gaelic origin so I never see his name in fics which I am thankful for.

I really dislike fics with teen pregnancy, or that centre around any sort of pregnancy there is just something about it that is so blah. There are only a couple of fics with pregnancy that I have enjoyed.

As far as a the baby bonus goes now, I know that the way it is distributed has changed, so the young bogans can't go out and buy big screen TVs with their bonus, they are actually forced to spend it on the poor unsuspecting sprogs now.

I don't think the sex ed is the problem, I think it's the fact that so much in today's society sex is used as a commodity. The media especially in all its forms; sex is just not seen as something that one should take with any sort of seriousness. For many it's just a super fun activity with no consequences; an integral part of a night out. Kinda makes me sad really, there is no value left in sexual intimacy any more, it's all been leached out.

I missed that one - busy day yesterday and I'm home "sick" *cough cough* today to get some work done before I go to State Conference tomorrow afternoon. Why would you schedule a mandatory state conference on the same week that all mandatory returns are due in? When I was a teen? They warned against "wet humping" without a condom.  You don't get those swimmers anywhere near your um entrance. 

I guess they can be pretty determined.

Now, with clothes on?  It shouldn't be an issue.
