I'm about 2/3rds done. I'm slow...I get distracted too easy

So far it's really good.  As long as they are together? I don't really care if they are married or not.  But the 2 or 3 lemons a chapter? Yeah, probably why I'm slow...I understand she is showing they can't keep their hands off of one another, though if I could skim them more it would be better.  Only problem is, they talk or think things in the middle that I don't always want to miss

Though really, after a while fade to black would be great.

I think this is one that would have been easier to read as a WIP.

I'm reading Broken Angel by Drotuno.  This is the second thing I've read by her & so far I've liked it all. This has 2 or 3 more stories in the series. Starts with Edward not returning for 2 years after he leaves in New Moon.  And Jake is not the nice guy you remember.

The first one I read by her was Nature of Love.  Also enjoyed that.

I'm reading Broken Angel right now too! It's pretty good, my first fic by this author, and probably my first real vampward, well, with edward as lead.

My only complaint is he calls her "my angel" too much.

I know what you mean.  I sometimes think the lemons are to keep the WIP crowd coming back. I've noticed this before when I've read WIPs. Reviewers complain if there isn't a lemon in every chapter. But I love a little UST. 

LOL!  It's the "Angel" series... what else should he call her?? 

 I can deal with the angel part, it's all the other stupid nicknames that start driving me crazy..."oh, little one" "hey little sister".... yeah, you get the idea.

I get it, I think I've just read several fics recently that way overdid the nickname thing. I'm burnt out!

Otherwise though, I'm really enjoying this one. They've just had actual, real sex for the first time, but I'm already noticing this is one where they are all over each other all the time. I guess the actual Twilight series was enough UST for everyone? lmao!

But I've read so much Bella/Jasper lately that every time they're near each other, I kinda want a "moment".

 I don't know if THIS author does this pairing, but plenty of authors do. Check out the non-canon thread for some really good recs. I know it's long, but a lot of it is just links to fics, you should read the whole thing if you have the time. It'll help to familiarize you with authors and types of stories.

But usually? I've found the stories with K+ or T ratings are rarely well written.  And sometimes the story is good enough to overcome the bad writing, but more often it isn't.

 

Jacob should be a secondary character only.

There are many others, but I recommend flagfic because it's the easiest to start.  Also? Though others may argue, PDF is not the best form  for downoloading.  If you have a kindle - use mobi.  Anything else uses epub. 

I agree with you about Mobi Ella.

I usually feel the same way about Jacob/Bella fics, but I'm really enjoying Crave by taoist elf.  This was recommended by a poster on another site and I can't stop reading it even though it's a wip.  Seriously... I never thought I would like be a Jacob fan and I love non canon couples, but the author writes a very engrossing story and the way she writes Jacob.  So f-ing hot.

I don't have a problem with Jake as the pairing, I did like him in the series, I just haven't gotten around to reading any of his stories yet. I still have to exhaust all the best Bella/Edward and Bella/Jasper stories.
