I agree with you about Mobi Ella.

Part of the reason I say this is because epub converts easily to almost anything else and it takes the smallest space on your hard drive.

PDFs rarely convert well and they eat up space. It is so annoying to convert and see "Bel a" everywhere....

The mobis also convert well, but unless you are a kindle user, they are not as readable. My new Samsung Tablet won't open them unless I put them in the Kindle folder. Which is on the main memory. I can put epubs on the removable micro SD card and it will open them.

I haven't read but one Bella/Jacob fic so far, and it was short, but I enjoyed it. I don't have a problem with Jake as the pairing, I did like him in the series, I just haven't gotten around to reading any of his stories yet. I still have to exhaust all the best Bella/Edward and Bella/Jasper stories.

As I said, I'm a little prejudice against Jake. And the ones I have started were so bad. Made me think of those high school soap operas - all overly dramatic with bullying and everything. And maybe that is what it is like now, but I don't remember high school that way. And I was more like Bella - too much into reading to pay attention to all the stuff going on.

But to me? Jake was always whiney and selfish in the books. Which is normal for a teen, I guess. Bella always seemed so much older than him. So I could never see them as anything more than friends.

Lovely story, well written but very very sweet.

I also read Complicated by LyricalKris

I'm reading Broken Angel right now too! It's pretty good, my first fic by this author, and probably my first real vampward, well, with edward as lead.

My only complaint is he calls her "my angel" too much.

I decided to continue with this one as I couldn't find anything else that appeals at the moment. The writing is excellent - if/when you finish this series I would highly recommend the gravity series by the same author - they are absolutely brilliant. They are A/H and much darker but, keep you wanting to read to the end!

So this morning I was happily reading a fic and then BAM an OC (with what is shaping up to be a significant role) has the exact same name as my Grandpa. I think twice before I've read a fic where a character had my same last name, but never in conjunction with a first name that was the same.

Now I can't stop picturing this character as my grandpa and it's kinda weird and squicking me out. Haha, I can just see it now; Why did you give that fic the flick?: oh, one of the characters was my grandpa! Luckily there are no middle names mentioned or we could be moving beyond coincidence and into downright creepy.

Has this ever happened to anyone here?

So true. I love Vampward - the whole reason I got started in fanfiction - well Twilight really. But there aren't that many good vamp fics out there.

I'm with Rickell on hoping there weren't any lemons. Because that would really be weird.

Though now that I think about it? Both my grandfathers died when my parents were kids. So I don't really have any reference to them. Though I know when I've read fics with the same names as my brothers? I have to try hard not to picture them in the character's place. Yuk.

Ok folks, I'm still enjoying Broken Angel, but does anything ever actually happen? Now that they are having sex, that's pretty much it, they can't keep their hands off each other. Nice, but I'm ready for more!

That's why I kept abandoning it - it was getting boring - I carried on with it today and it is picking up. Like I said earlier, the gravity series keeps you wanting more - the angel series seems to drag a little - but the writing is so good in both series.

Oh and there are at least 3 lemons per chapter even towards the end!

I don't know but this might be a stupid question but Is there Jacob /Bella Ones then

In Twific, there are fics that pair anyone with anyone! E/B, E/A, E/R, E/Esme, E/Em, E/C, B/J, B/Em, B/Carl, B/Aro, B/A, B/R - and that's just the main characters - there's also the minor players.

Imagine the fight scene from BD2 where everyone is out on the field as a singles bar.

There are even some fics that pair EVERYONE with EVERYONE!

Oh yes, there are a lot of Bella/Jacob ones. I don't know if I'd rec any of them. The majority seemed to be written by teenagers with little writing ability.

But I have to say I don't like Jacob, so I am totally biased in this

But usually? I've found the stories with K+ or T ratings are rarely well written. And sometimes the story is good enough to overcome the bad writing, but more often it isn't.

For A/H B/J, A Downright Disgrace by velvetglo was definitely no K+ or T and is was pretty good. You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login
