LOL! I always find it funny when someone whose first language is not English get a beta who isn't English speaking either. So neither catch the errors.

But you do have to remember some betas are there for story help not SPaG help; )

I again have a senior moment... what does SPaG mean again? i keep thinking of a pasta dish though i know its a writing related error  :P

lauren, mistakes happen..don't worry too much about it  :)

welcome back Savvy!

See you in twitter too DD. Though like Ella, am hardly there as am mostly here. as Astro would say, the limited character length and lack of emoticons in twitter are a bit frustrating. mostly you would see the 3 of us being subtly pervy there...its quite a challenge doing that in 140 characters  :D. rdmickey posted some drool worthy manips and pics of Rob there yesterday... Yummmmy!

Author teams fighting... Very sad... Unlike divorce where material things can be easily divided, well, written parts can be determined, but how can you lay sole claim to ideas if it was a collaborative work? i just hope it doesn't get nasty and they both benefit from their joint babies.

IMO, i applaud writers who want to P2P, am truly happy for them to be able to earn out of their writing. The only thing I don't like is when they all get high and mighty, dissing the fandom. Its like biting the hand that fed you... we have a term here called "utang na loob" literally means "debt of inside" that best describes those writers who don't put down the very people that brought them their success.

I guess the closest to it on your side of the world is "i owe you one" but here, we put a LOT of weight for "utang na loob" and the feeling of betrayal and hurt is strong if they turn back on you.

true story, i had an acquaintance who helped me once (gave me the chance to get a ticket to a concert, not actually gave the ticket, but the "in" to buy a sold out one). to this day, bec of that one small deed, I go out of my way to help her in similar favors bec i feel i owe her one...of course doing one equal deed should make you quits, but our culture makes us extend that feeling as long as we can without being taken advantage of. This is small compared to the benefits a writer gets from their readers...but i hope i am able to relay a small part of our culture and why we do things or feel the way we do for certain issues  :)

SPaG= Spelling Punctuation and Grammar

And, I love "utang na loob"!  What a great way to live and I love the way the words sound.

Can someone tell me who the pairing is on this story? It confuses me, it starts out reading like Bella/Jasper, but I skipped to the end and it looks like it ends with Bella/Edward!

You're welcome  :-*

It's really easy to search (I love when you can search by pairings) and I have gotten several off the rec'd list that I hadn't flagged yet.

I think this is a different site from twific central, though I can't say that for sure because when I pull up twific central's site it takes forever to load and then it's all screwy  >:(

I didn't know you read Jasper fics! I'm still muddling through the one I started a couple days ago but can tell I'm losing interest...I'm trying to stick with it though. And Matron's rec is up next  8)

Actually, FicCentral is the new incarnation of TwiFicCentral.  TwiFicCentral has been redirected, so it should no longer be accessible.  The Library is just a section of FicCentral that functions as a simple list of decent, completed fics that people can search through without having to do any real fic diving.  We had originally taken it down, but so many people asked for us to put it back that we went ahead and built it in again when we redesigned the site.

I am at our state principals' conference this week. Imagine being stuck in a room all day with 1400+ school principals! I was awake this morning at 3:30 (not used to hotel and big city traffic sounds) and reading Comp Sem (still enjoying it), then lectures and "forums" all day. 4 Grey Goose martinis later, I decide to skip the conference dinner (olives in the martinis count as dinner, right?) and I head back to my room, turn on my TV and see Harry from one direction getting sack whacked by a shoe in the crotch. Why is this the funniest thing I have ever seen???

Just doing a quick skim because I'm on my phone and I've had too many vodka martinis - with 2 olives! - but just wanted to say... Thanks mate! I don't think I've ever been called subtle before!  :-*

I'm going to log in to my work laptop after I've had a shower and read what you've all been chatting about today.

BTW - I have never before had even a sip of alcohol at a work function. I guess turning 40 has let me let my hair down a bit. You know what I learnt today? School principals with a few drinks under their belts are the horniest breed on the planet! My drought could have been broken a few times just today (and the conference wraps up tomorrow night!) but male principals do absolutely nothing for me!

I might regret this tomorrow! 8)

Hey girls! Long time no hear, huh? Life has been a total b!tch lately, but I'm dealing (I think...) I read some real books lately (shocker!), classic literature to be exact. It was great but it got my mind all rilled up. WHat I really need is to relax, watch some movies and read FF!

So I started a few things, nothing too good unfortunatelly. And then I got my hands on Hydraulic Level 5 by Gondolier. It is a bittersweet read, a little funny and exactly what I needed. But, it is marked incomplete at 37 Chapters. Does anyone remember if the story reaches a satisfying point, really close to an epilogue? I could simply scroll down, but I'm afraid I might catch some spoilers along the way :P
Any help?

Thanks  :-*

I looked it up and my copy has 40 chapters with 40 being an epilogue with a long good bye an behind. So it was finished. I think I got my copy here at PTS, so look around. If you don't find it, I'll be happy to send it to you!

Lemonade, and lemon pie, and lemon pudding, and lemon cake, and lemon tea, and enough lemonade to float a barge. :D

If that barge is rockin'
Don't come a-knockin'???

PTS should have a breathalyser on it! I should not be allowed to post while I'm "on conference"!

We don't debate in the UK - I wonder why that is?

Actually, where I am from you tell it like it is and if it is not appreciated - hard cheddar!

I always thought the English were big debaters. Or, as we call them...mass debaters!!!

 :D :D :D

You might need to say that out loud to get how hysterically funny that is!!!  :D

Maybe I should go to bed. Mr Admin is telling me I'm up late.

HL5 sat unfinished for a VERY long time and then she wrapped it up and marked it complete, and then, I think, removed it a day or 2 later.

I'll check how many chapters there are when I get home on Saturday.

There is nothing fun about "mass debating". For some of us, it's the only "debating" we get.  :'(

Good night all. Think of me in 11 hours, struggling through Conference Day 2.

How does a 3 day conference feel like 3 years? At least the afternoon tea was good - fresh baked and still warm pistachio, macadamia, ginger and dark chocolate biscuits. I'll have to shred twice tomorrow - I skipped it tonight. 4 vodka martinis and 30DS doesn't go together!
