I'm just sitting here watching The Holiday realising how much I enjoy it.

What are the films that you just have to watch again and again?

A few of mine are Wimbledon, Serendipity, Mr and Mrs Smith, Some Kind of Wonderful and Coyote Ugly - I'm a sucker for a happy ending.

Legally Blonde - which I just stumbled upon on the TV.

How appropriate given my pink-and-sparkliness tonight!  :D

Whoever said orange was the new pink was seriously disturbed.

A lot of the pics of Rob's crusty teeth asked if he just had vegemite on his teeth.

Remember this?

Can any Aussie's give me a comparison between Vegemite and the Marmite we have in the UK? I have to make my boyfriend Marmite and Cheese sandwiches all the time but I don't like eating it on it's own. It's good as an ingredient for things, though.

During the floods in January, I couldn't find marmite anywhere. I googled it (as all good researchers do) and found out that the marmite that we use to get in Australia is different to UK marmite. It was made in New Zealand, but the factory where it was produced was destroyed during the Christchurch earthquakes and they're not back up and running.

Anyway, in the spirit of nationalism and in the name of science, I discovered that there is a little You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login near where my parents live, that specialises in UK products - "English Tea Rooms and Sweet Shop selling traditional British Sweets and Groceries". They sell pork pies, haggis and all other sorts of things that the Brits call "food".

Anyway, I rang my darling mother and she stopped in and bought a bottle ($12.50!!!) and posted it to me. When I got home this afternoon, there on my front mat was my little bottle of marmite waiting for me!

So I now have this little collection of Vegemite, Promite, Marmite and something else called Our Mate, that looks suspiciously like Marmite.

Tomorrow, I'll go shopping for a loaf of white sliced bread and some butter (because that's how you eat Vegemite) and I will conduct a series of experiments this weekend on taste, texture and smell.

I just thought you'd all want to mark this in your diaries, because I'm sure that you haven't been able to sleep since Lauren's question was posted!

And if my week so far is any indication, they are now hitting puberty at 7!

I had to give the whole school the "boyfriend/girlfriend" talk on Monday!

"We are here to learn and to focus on our education. If you want a bf or gf, it doesn't happen at school - it's not even talked about at school. If I hear about it, you will join me in telephoning your parents."

I figure that if I'm not getting any, then either should they!  ;)

What happens when a scholarship athlete and an English major from opposite coasts meet in a freshman writing seminar? Will they be drawn together or forced apart by their weekly discoveries of themselves and each other? All human college coeds!

I really enjoyed it (and I CANNOT stand golf!) and was excited to see that bornonhalloween posted a new oneshot yesterday.

A new friend? Welcome!

So, you know all about us (probably too much - I tend to TMI ) so tell us a little more about you? Where are you from? Kids? Is your husband in the military?

Goodness - I sound like a crazy stalker! I'm not, I promise.

Australia is too far away for good stalking.  ;)
I have to make do with facebook, twitter, tumblr...

I haven't figured out how to use quote yet but I wanted to answer your questions.

My husband is in the navy and left a week ago for a year. I have 3 sons that are 21, 18, and 15. The older boys live in Va Beach. I am living in the Low Country of South Carolina and I love it here. I am originally from Va Beach and moved here 3 years ago when my husband was stationed here.

I started out reading HP fanfics in 2003 and I resisted reading Twilight for as long as possible but being surrounded by teenagers at the time they finally wore me down and I gave in. I wasn't and am still not a fan of the books but after reading them I wondered what fans could do with them. I was hooked from my first fic.  :)

I found PTS by accident 3 weeks ago when I was visiting my husband's family in N.C. As soon as I realized that I could find and download fics that I thought were gone forever I swear I had tears in my eyes. (My reaction took some creative explaining I can tell you!) I have been on here everyday since.

All of you ladies are just amazing and I am so thankful to have found you. I have been alone in my fanfic addiction forever and it is so nice to have people to talk to that understand and share it!  :-*

BTW I'm a 36c even though they are a little more south than they should be.  ;)
