Twilight Fanfiction Non Canon, AU, e.g. not the usual pairings - just so we are clear this means stories that do not have as lead pairings such Edward/Bella, Rosalie/Emmett or Alice/Jasper. Or as the dictionary says about non canon "A word used by those who write fanfiction. It refers to a pairing etc. that was not promoted in the original work the fanfiction was based on." There are Jasper/Bella or Bella/Emmett or Edward/Jasper fics here but feel free to add your own non-cannon stories.

I know we already have a thread for non-canon links, but a couple of us have noticed our posts getting removed or edited, so we thought it would be nice to have a place where we could freely discuss all the non-canon stories we are reading.

So what's your pairing? What are your must reads? Links are always nice, but I just really wanted a place to feel free to blather on about whatever, non-canon wise, we want.

I've been personally having a very tough time finding something worthwhile to read. Most of you know I'm stuck on Vampsper- Vampire Jasper. I just love him, and love stories that pair him with Bella. Personal favorites are usually ones where he finds her after Edward leaves her in New Moon. Either he finds her broken and helps put her back together, or he finds her better and falls for her. I haven't read many human Jasper stories, but I'm always open to suggestions!

Recent fics I've tried and got bored with, and why:

Changing Lives by ineedcoffee. I know I read at least part of this already. Bella is a recovering addict when she runs into Jasper again. The family is happy to find her and once again adopts her. I just can't remember if I finished this or not. The ending doesn't look familiar, but I have no clue why I flounced it if I did.

Blue Eyed Vampire by krazykatt144- This one was obviously written by a high school girl. Even an AN mentions being written between Biology and some other class. I didn't get far in this one at all, the writing was THAT bad. Bella woke up in the "morge".

Somebody To Love- by mommybrook. This one isn't horribly written, but it has a real insta-love feel, which feels wildly inappropriate since Charlie is VERY ill. I'll still probably finish this one one day though.

Sunshine on a Cloudy Day by Jaspersonlyone770. This one is just a bit all over the place. The writing isn't horrible, but it just jumps around in the plot, making it hard to follow.

Bond of Brotherhood by crazy chick 74. This one isn't badly written, but I'm not loving this Jasper, he's very wishy washy. Not really a spoiler, since it happens at the very beginning, but Edward and Alice have died, and set things in motion that Jasper MUST be mated to Bella, or face death by the Volturi. They seem to fall for each other VERY fast, but then we are treated to scene after scene of Bella and Jasper together, followed by Jasper's guilt over moving on so fast. Not sure if I'll go back to this one or not.

I am constantly searching for my next Colliding Meteors or Finished Product or Leaves of Grass or A Moment Changes Everything. So far, those have been my gold standard Bella/Jasper fics.

I am having the same issue! Once you read those "classics" it is so hard to find something worth reading. And I mean, I'm a person who reads ANYTHING non-canon, but I want to feel MOVED to read again

I don't mind reading non-Bella stories but if I do then they have to be canon - so I'd read an Alice/Jasper story but not an Alice/Edward one. I've read a couple of Bella/Carlisle and they were okay, I prefer if they don't have Edward anywhere in the story though. I don't think I'd ever read Bella and a wolf. In the movie they were portrayed in such a stupid way I couldn't take that kind of fic seriously.

I can't imagine reading Emmett and Bella either, but only because his physical description isn't anything I'd be attracted to. I'd like to read some Garrett and Bella at some point.

One of the oddest, but kinda cool, pairings I read was an all human, Edward was quite the dominant lead, and you don't realize til the very end that the POV you were reading was MIKE NEWTON. Reading the reviews, a bunch of people still didn't know it was Mike they were reading about. I never even noticed til the end that the main POV voice never got named or described. I wish I could remember the title of this one... it was a one shot.

LOL well I went down the M/M romance rabbit hole a few years ago, so slash is not a problem for me. I just haven't read much of the Twi-Slash yet, but I'm getting some together for when my m/m burnout fades.
