It's so satisfying to finally read a story that you couldn't find.

It is also good to be reminded of stories that are favorites, like running into an old friend. This board has been good for that.

It is also good to be reminded of stories that are favorites, like running into an old friend. This board has been good for that.

This is true! Though my biggest problem lately has been starting to read something, whether on my phone, kindle, or computer, & having to close it for a reason, then forgetting what it was. Then the search starts. So frustrating. I guess it's time to start keeping a list $:-\$

Any suggestions with how to deal with my problem will be welcome

I've just finished reading Sanctuary by Jennyfly for the second time and also the FGB outtake/futuretake that she wrote called Take Out.
Did she ever write any other outtake for Sanctuary? I think TO was the only one but as there are a lot of the charity compilations around it's always possible that there's something else around that I've missed.

If anyone knows anything I'd appreciate the name of the story and even better a copy of the outtake

I have Norton 360 for my antivirus and all of a sudden all the links I click on for fanfiction.net are blocked with the message that it's a reported fraudulent page....

is anyone else having this problem? I've changed nothing in my security settings and have done no recent updates to it in the past couple of hours so I just don't know wth is going on?

While I'll agree that some of ffn's actions are offensive and if we didn't visit ffn we might be more productive people, I don't think their site is a threat to your computer (unless you overload by keeping copies of too many stories). I think your software is being overprotective and you have to let it know who's boss.

I email the link to myself from my phone or iPad, etc. when I flip to a new chapter, that way I can go back through my email to see what story and chapter I was on...

Mmmm I'm at my work comp and I'm using chrome but not the same anitivirus and it shows ok... Maybe is norton... As soon as I get home I'll try.

haha! It seems as though maybe fanfiction pissed off some norton employees b/c every story is being blocked lol.

Thank you for those links, Scarlett! I really appreciate that and I'm looking at the web query one now. I just wish there was a way to add in that this particular site is ok but to not have to turn off the safe web feature all together. It's so odd lol

It's not just me! This was from the norton community site:

"Why Blocked?
Fanfiction.net has been one of my favorite sites for years, and I've never had any problems with it. I don't understand why, what appears to be all of a sudden, the stories are coming up as blocked. The full report even shows no threats."

And turning off the web query and anti phishing didn't even fix it
