I've read this book before I think it was just last year.
I remember H paid h to be his mistress. h is a student and due to financial problems she entered this type of  relationship and h is a virgin.  And H wouldn't spend the night with h after their encounters. I think H is a widower. And the epilogue - H and h are now married and they have a daughter and H and the daughter are waiting for h at the airport.

It seems really interesting, hopefully someone will remember it.-

Hi,
I think this is The Mistress Mistake by Lynda Chance.
Here is the summary: Jessica Conway is at the end of her rope. She desperately needs a few things that her moral values can't buy: food, shelter, a chance for a better life. Connor Montgomery is tortured with guilt and wants only one thing from Jessica and he'swilling to pay her for it. Setting her up as his mistress seems like the perfect idea. But how long can it last when it was a mistake from the beginning?

I hope this helps!  :)

Hi everyone, this one is driving me crazy because I REALLY want to read it
So its a historical romance about this girl who is a pirate (?) and she comes to London to talk to some lawyers about her inheritance. She needs a chaperone and picks up an old lady and makes her look presentable- at the end of the novel it turns out she is actually an upper class women who used to live in a plantation farm (?) and come back to London but was robbed. Also, so she goes to the lawyers office and they say that for her to inherate she needs to be married, and pregnant (?). At the same time a guy from London also visits the same law office about his inheritance, and they say that his grandfather (?) said that in order for him to inherate he must be married and with a baby on the way (?), or it could be that he needed someone with an inheritance... (SORRY). Anyways, she starts hosting possible bachelors to marry, and he courts her and there is this whole intrege about one of the other guys courting her and the chaperone lady she picks up. In the end she marries the guy from the law office and they live happily ever after.
Oh yeah, I remember a really cute scene where she wants to apologize to him and get him to marry her after a bunch of stuff happens and so she ties him up on an island and when he wakes up they proceed to make love :)

Sorry thats all I can remember, I hope you guys know what its called

Found it! It's the Grant Brothers series.

Hopefully I'm making this post correctly... (although I did ask this question somewhere else on the site, sorry for posting twice).

I'm looking for a series of books involving brothers who (if I'm remembering correctly) are alpha male types.  Sadly I can only remember the plot of one of the books.  The brothers often go to this diner to eat and one night one brother notices the waitress sitting in a booth studying.  I believe she was in school to be lawyer.  Anyway, the brother is pretty persistent and leaves a large tip when he's there and returns often to her annoyance.  He is also a lawyer and wants her to work for him/be an inter or something.

Hopefully someone knows what I'm talking about and can help me out.

Thank you so much in advance!

Hi, I need help with a two books.

First book: The h is a tattoo artist. She enters a competition and has to tattoo the H live on a stage. IIRC, he gets a tattoo of a ship, and he had been sick. The h used to date/work for a famous tattoo artist, and now the guy is bothering her, he tries to get her to withdraw from the competition, and he is abusive.

Second book: H and h dated in high school. h is a tattoo artist, and comes back to town when her mom dies. Things ended pretty badly between h and H. h also had a troubled relationship with her mom, who was a witch. Anyway, she comes back to town, and they start dating again.

Thanks in advance!

Eeep forgot to add that this is a Regency Romance book and both main characters are of the Ton think the lead male is at least a Viscount.

I have another book I forgot the title or author to. Would love some help if someone recognises this description.

A young lady about 18 goes to the home of a gentleman in order to talk him out of offering marriage to her older sister. She tells him that her sister is already in love with another but because her sister is a dutiful daughter she will throw away her happiness and marry him at their parents request.  She offers instead, for him to not marry her sister who finds the gentleman a bit intimidating, to marry her the younger sister. The gentleman of course is a peer and older about 30 to 35 i think and he at first is against this idea but she eventually talks him around to the idea.  Later on in the story she has a confrontation with a tradesman when the man attempts to abuse a dog. She stands up for the dog and is nearly hit by the man.  After this a constable gets involved and her sanity is questioned an she blurts out that she is the gentleman's fiancé and they end up going to see the gentleman for him to verify her identity. She ends up giving him the dog and the dog becomes attached to him.

I know this is alot of details but i thought the specifics might make it remember-able to someone.
Also the person her older sister is in love with is the vicar in their home town.

Hey, there is this book I really wanted to read but forgot its name. It came out either this year or last year.
It's about a boy who is cursed (curse of Caine? I'm not sure) to kill/cause everyone he loves to die. He left his girlfriend(?) before she becomes next, but now there is a killer after her... Something along those lines. I just hope I'm not mixing up two books...that would be embarrassing =p
Anyway, if anyone could help I would greatly appreciate it!

Hey,I hope you guys can help me find a book I've been searching for a while now.I don't remeber the plot very well, but it was a young adult novel wher the heroine inherits her grandfather's house,I think, and while she moves to the small town she meets a local boy,who she later finds that is a werewolf. It's more of a sweet story, but there was a bit of action too, cause the girl has to fight another girl from his pack in order for her to be accepted as a member.I think she had to fight his ex,but I'm not sure. Also his parents are very supportive of them and play a big role in the book.

Sorry the details are so sparse, but that's all I remember.I hope someone knows the name of this book cause it's driving me crazy that I can't find it.

Thanks!

Hi there,

I've been trying to find this book I read about 2-3 years ago, so the details may be a bit sketchy but this is what I remember. The genre is romance (not sure if the guy is a billionaire or not)

The book is about two childhood friends:
  • The male comes from a rich family, who is pressuring him to get married
  • The female isn't wealthy and ended up in hospital due to her ex
  • Near the start, they're meeting in a cafe where the guy ends up offering marriage in order to get his family off his back
Not entirely sure if the female already has a child or not.

I hope this helps someone out there - I've been through my book collection hoping to find it but no luck so far. I realise it's not a lot of detail (sorry about it!) but hopefully it jogs someone's memory!

Thanks in advance :)

I Need Help on Book Title and Author Name
« Reply #232 on: June 06, 2014, 11:45 PM »
I have a book I forgot the title and author of, would love some help if someone recognizes this description.

Its situated in London, England about the 1800's probably late 1800's
both main characters are of the peerage.

The situation as the story opens is the main male is thinking of offering for the main female's Older Sister in Marriage.  The Main female, a young lady about 18yrs, goes to the home of the main male, a gentleman of the Ton, in order to talk him out of offering marriage to her older sister. She tells him that her sister is already in love with another but because her sister is a dutiful daughter her sister will throw away her happiness and marry him at their parents request.  She asks that he instead offers for her, the younger sister, since her sister finds the gentleman a bit intimidating. The gentleman of course is a peer and older about 30 to 35, and at first he is against this idea but then starts to think that with this younger sister his life will never be boring.

Later on in the story the main female has a confrontation with a tradesman when the man attempts to abuse a dog. She stands up for the dog and is nearly hit by the man.  After this a constable gets involved the tradesman makes accusations against her and makes a comment about her lack of sanity after she blurts out that she is engaged to the main male, and they end up going to see the main male at his town house and have him verify her identity. She ends up asking him to take in the dog since he will not be allowed in her father's townhouse. Of course after a very short time the dog becomes attached to the main male.

I know this is alot of details but i thought the specifics might make it remember-able to someone.
Also the person her older sister is in love with is the vicar in their home town.

The book I'm looking for is a Harlequin or Silhouette book... late 1990's...early 2000

Story is set in Chicago... involves a 1st year surgical resident named Anna or Hannah, her boss (chief of surgery) is Lewis??? he doesn't think she has the stamina to deal with the demands of surgery....

she moonlights as a model for a designer named Leonardo in order to help her grandmother financially.... when her boss sees her at a fashion show he attends with an ex-girlfriend, he gets jealous about her relationship with the designer without knowing all the facts...

Does anyone remember such a book??

Thanks a bunch in advance... :-* :-*

Hi,

I’m looking for a Harlequin Presents book, released sometime after 2000. I’ve been trying to find this book for a while now for a reread but I cant seem to find it after many searches. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

After the hero’s uncle passed away, he was made the guardian to his uncles twin boys. The hero is Italian or Greek, and is a wealthy playboy. The hero and uncles wife were in a relationship a few years back before she was married to his uncle, and the boys are his, although he doesn’t know it. I cant remember but I think he rejected her, at the same time she found out she was pregnant so she went to his uncle for help and his plan was to marry her. The hero thinks she’s a money hungry gold digger.

The heroine and hero met near his yatch, I think. She was an orphan, has no family or friends, and is on holiday with a group, I think because she turnt 18. She fell in love with him at first sight, and let him walk all over her.

There was a scene where the heroine tries to pawn her jewelry for money. The hero finds out and gets it back.

The heroine grows as a person now that shes a mother, and becomes independent and has respect for herself now.

I think his uncle told the twin boys about their real father before he pasted away as the boys later tell the hero.

Go through the descriptions on author Lisa Kleypas' website.  I believe it sounds like one of her historical novels.

I am guessing the one you were talking about was "Then Came You" but that's not the story.

The Heroine in mine is not angry with the hero, she I believe was unknowingly, til later in the story already in love with him when she proposed that he marry her instead of her sister. She just had some weird belief that she was unable to fall in love.

Hi what i'm looking for is a series i think.I've only read the first one. I know that the main character is a female dragon shifter who ran away from her family and the rest of her people because the women are treated cruelly and are like slaves used for breeding and other things.

I think her dad is the leader and has her mother chained up somewhere cuz she did something and she is being used for breeding. I think there kind is going extinct. She ran away cause she didn't want to end up like her mom and she also didn't want someone related to her to impregnate her.

So she has been hiding in Vegas and not shifting alot. There's also a casino were a supernatural group reside. I don't know if they were werewolfs or mages ? The leader there is someone she was in a relationship with I think she ran from him :/ i'm not sure lol he has been looking for her and is super pissed when she comes to him I think. I don't remember anthing else that's specific. I hope someone knows what i'm talking about lol it's driving me cray cray!!!

I'm looking for a regency romance and the story goes like this:

The heroine is an heiress and she gets married to a Duke, she believes he loves her, but really he is after her money.  I believe she is one of several illegitimate daughters of someone of importance (he may just be a very rich man, not sure if he is a Lord or what not).  Anyway, on the wedding night the duke takes the girl on his yacht, where he strangles her and throws her overboard.  BUT she survives and is rescued by a gentleman (not sure if he has rank or anything) and I think he just came home from India (could be wrong about that though).  While trying to get her help he comes across a band of gypsies and they help him care for her.  They obviously fall in love, she knows her husband tried to kill her and her rescuer takes her home with him and helps her with the duke.  The duke is surprised she is alive and is in the process getting a new bride.  I think this book is the second or third in the series, because she has other sisters that are married and when I looked this author up I remember seeing books for them, I just can't remember the name of the book or author.  I read this book in the last 6 months or so.

Any help would be appreciated.
