Hello, all

I know there's already an 'Introduce Yourself' thread up on the main page but I thought I'd put one up here in the Cafe as well (so it's just for us book readers). Please take a moment to drop in and say hi, maybe tell us a little bit about yourself....or just tell us what type of books you like to read.

Hi, I'm Mel, and yes it's my nickname

I've been a member for a few months but have only been posting recently. I'm 38, single from the Philippines. Been reading books since 5th grade. Started with Nancy Drew, Hardy Boys moved on to Sweet Valley High, Sweet Dreams, Mills and Boons. I read anything that interests me, enjoy reading historical romance, have all Johanna Lindsey, almost all Brenda Joyce, Catherine Coulter books. I like Clive Cussler Dirk Pitt series. I have almost all Tom Clancy books. My home is cluttered with books, when my Dad was still alive he would always tell me I read too much and that he'd throw away all my books.

I would spend hours inside the bookstore just looking at books....
Also enjoy watching Korean Drama and anime...and like watching Vampire Diaries, CSI and CSI NY.....
I'm glad that I stumbled upon STP, never heard about all these authors and now I'm reading all the books that I downloaded sooooo greedily. lol

Like The Host by Stephanie Meyers, Meredith Ann Pierce's Archangel Trilogy, Fever Series by Karen Marie Moning, Tanith Lee's The Silver Metal Lover, and last but not least Freda Warrington's Blood series. Other authors I like are stories written by Barbara Woods, Her work consists of Daughter of the sun (a great book!!!) and Juliett Marilier's Heart's blood.

Anyway, I'm a 20 yr old College student. I study politics and economics, but I need my dose of fiction from time to time. And like the member aove wen I'm not studying or reading a book I'm busy keeping up with my Korean dramas too. I'm a humanitarian and I love the members of this site! you guys are the best!

Stumbled across this site when searching and searching and searching for a book I desperately wanted to read and it's now my number 1 site for books
