Has anyone read Poughkeepsie? I have had to leave this one and come back several times. There is so much going on and sometimes it is just so out there for me. Does it straighten out for lack of a better way to say that? About a fifth of the way through it... Anyone? Thank you!

I have never done that. Does Ella not like surprises?

I don't necessarily need spoilers, just that all is ok in the end. The middle I can deal with as long the end is ok.
Kinda like The Red Line that I read as a WIP. Dear jeez, the tissue makers were wealthy during that time and I contributed my fair share. But no matter the shit, pain, and suffering Edward went through, he survived a better person and in love.

Yeah I mean I'm like you. I like my angst but with a HEA. I was going to read the Elusive Mr Cullen, but now I'm not so sure now. Now I'm confused $:-\$

You could be right, although I'm happy to see him take a sip from bottles or cans. I think I officially became a pervert when I started visiting Rob fan sites and compounded the problem when I started reading fanfiction. I have 3 kids, but my s#x education was sadly lacking.

Hmmm, I've read a lot of Angst fics but I def would recommend Expectations & Other Moving Pieces.

It's not complete but holy hell this fic is full of heart fail. It's so well written and I bounce in place when I see an update in mah inbox

While I can agree with your "hidden" sentiment, cigarettes just don't do it for me. Both parents smoked like chimneys (which was not unusual in the 60s and 70s). I don't mind the visual, but the smell - eww. I prefer to think of Rob as all fresh smelling and cleanly masculine (although a sweaty Rob would be okay, too). I don't hate the avi, just not my favorite.

Thanks for all the eye candy. I'm enjoying it.

I enjoyed The Elusive Mr. Cullen although the last few chapters were shocking. Here I was, having faith that all would turn out well, when Daria pulled the rug out from underneath my feet. While I didn't get my HEA with Edward and Bella, it was still a good story and neither Bella or Edward died. There was a certain poignancy to the ending. Bella also had a strength she doesn't have in most stories. While I prefer a HEA with Edward and Bella together at the end, I can take an occasional story that jolts my expectations. If you can't, don't read it. If you can, it's a good read.

Give me some options of.......angst with a happy ending. I have a funny fluffy one lined up to immediately follow it and my wips are wrapping up so it is time to start another completed fic.

Nope have read NONE of those. Ok, Ok, I will start Wide Awake. I will read the uncensored version. (I have several versions)

I thought it was amazing. An excellent read. I put it off for months because I got burned too many times reading what seemed to be the most popular fics and not being able to finish them because they were either so boring or not written well enough for me to keep going. I finally broke down and read it and it was worth it.

I FREAKING LOVED this book. I read it as a published work though. It is all over the place, but I loved all the characters so much, and laughed so hard in so many places, it totally didn't matter to me. It's kind of an action novel/romance. Lots of violence.
I can't even began to count the lines in this book that were worth quoting.

I really need to know before I travel to far, am I going to make it through?

This is a great story with an OMG twist at the end. It is not a Happy ending for Edward and Bella. I hope that I didn't give away to much?

I had really fun time reading last couple of pages..its good to see my some of fav fics are same as urs.I am also not big fan of HS fics..90% its always same old same old,cliche cannon couple,cannon chracter , fluffy, party & yada yada.half the time all fics looks same.hardly very few author come up with original concept & proper writing.BUT if its well written with good concept i am all for it.

my fav HS fics :- Hit by Destiny,Wide awake, Off side,Cullen and Swan: Matchmakers, The Path We Chose & its sequel, kidnapped, The Tutor,How My Life was Ruined in 14 Days,And Then There's You

right now i am badly searching for good fanfics.I am not sure what..but something very good.my fav 1-2 fics are WIP.and i am waiting fot it to complete.my criteria is very diff regarding fanfic.Recently while seraching i hv stumble onto few fics which were too fluffy for my liking specially other supporting chracters.I swear if i read 1 more fics who has mending, shopoholic pixie alice or cannon bitchy rosaile or epitome of love esme, i think i will throw up or probably take break from FFs.There are so rare authors who write these supporting chracters differenly or with control.I am desparetly searching for those fics.
last good fic i read was Two of kind by Nilla79. very unusual concept & unique charactrization.i am searching for something like that.
