Thanks for your help. Just finished reading both stories. I wonder if there will be a sequel? Bethaboo initially mentioned multiple epilogues to come, just not a definite time when; but so far just the one epilogue.

Sempre Forever Spoiler

*Waving* Hi Ladies,

Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner, yesterday was another napping on the river day. I get the best sleep on the boat when I'm supposed to be fished hehehe. That makes me the worst fishing companion though lol.. Thanks so much to all you ladies who kept me and my crippled but in your thoughts. I feel so much better these last few days.

Okay, I know a lot of people won't agree with my assessment of Sempre or the comparison between EP & Sempre so I just wanted to give a heads up I'm not trying to cause waves or arguments, I just wanted to throw my opinion of the two.

I had to think long and hard about this because as you all know I'm an E/B lover all the way. So after reading them both and being disappointed by Sempre I had to ask myself "Am I upset because it's not E/B? Is that the reason I liked EP better than Sempre?" I came to the conclusion that NO my reason's for being so disappointed with Sempre had nothing to do with the characters at all. *Whew wipes forehead*

With that being said, I put both stories on my kindle EP the complete version with outtakes and interviews and that came to almost 43 thousand pages. Sempre only came to almost 14 thousand pages. I instantly got nervous realizing so much had been cut out of the story..  :'(

EP is one of my top 2 stories ever. I loved this story hard it has it all! Like most people I could have lived without the redundancy  of the chapters in different POV's with that said it didn't bother me so much in this story because the E & B were from two different spectrum's of the same world. I found it interesting to read her POV and understand her innocence in all things pertaining to "normal Life" and the consequences for anything others saw fit to punish her for, as opposed to his flippant way of life and hardly any consequences for his actions. I loved watching the love story blossom between these two the way it was written was superb. I loved the ride that EP took me on. Everything about this story screamed "Movie in the making". One of the reasons I decided to read all of them was because in my humble opinion EP was a thousand times better than Fifty Shades or Master of the Universe plot wise. I couldn't figure out why Sempre was bypassed by the "Powers that Be". *shakes head*

It didn't take long to figure out why. I read Sempre Forever and didn't feel it so much was left out. The building of the relationship between Carmine & Haven was rushed. Too many POV's (no redundancy, which is good for those of you that didn't like it) most of the action from EP was left out. No mafia princess connection! (that was one twist that I freaking loved) in other words Sempre was easily forgettable where as EP kept me on the edge of my seat. I feel like she would have been better off in creating either a sequel or trilogy.

Just my humble opinion. I really wanted to see EP on the big screen but doubt that will happen now.

Tami

I cannot agree with you more.  To me it became more a story of Vincent DeMarco and the Mafia and less all the growing up and learning about life and love in EP.  Thank you so much for your comments and I am glad I was not alone.

Ladies:  If you are not reading solostintwilight's newest story "Letters to Corporal Masen"  you are missing a fantastic read.  This is a WWII story, and along with her wonderful prose, she is giving us history lessons in the A/N.  This is one story where I am enjoying the A/N as much as the fic.  Please check it out.  I'm sure you will love it, and while it is a WiP, Solo has always finished her stories (In Your World(amishward) and The Biology Project), so I don't feel too nervous recommending this.  Give it a try!

Is EP, Emancipation Proclamation? I'm new to fanfiction and since you said "EP is one of my top 2 stories ever" I was curious to read it. That being said what was your top story ever read?
Thanks!!

Yes EP stands for Emancipation Proclamation.

*groans* I told Ella if she told anyone what my all time favorite was I'd deny it til my death cause it's told in Rosalie's POV but it was a phenomenally written story, it's been pulled to publish I believe. I think the author (TheHeartofLife) is one of those rare jewels with the written word, not that there aren't many many many great writer's out there, but this story I just don't have enough words for.. It's called "The Long Way Home" by TheHeartOfLife.. Amazing read!

Tami, glad to hear you're up and about. Thanks for sharing your opinion on EP. It's sheer no. of pages is daunting to me that's why i've been postponing reading it. But after your comments, will read it next after i finish the last book in Bella Andre's Bad Boys of Football trilogy tonight. I guess i have to start reading the highly rec ones with over 900 pages sometime...

Btw girls, are you the type that can read several books at the same time? My husband drives me nuts when i see him with 5 books with bookmarks on his bedside table. He would read a few chapters from 2 books one night, then a few from the other books the next night and so on. Maybe my brain is not into "multi tasking" but when i read, i make sure i finish the book before starting another one. I can't stand not finishing a book and not knowing how it ends, that's why i stick to it. Am i too OCD to feel this way? Except for WIPs, do you girls read a few finished books at the same time?

I can only read one book at a time ;)  Too much going on for me to keep track of more.  LOL

It took me several tries before I managed to complete EP.  Don't misunderstand - it was really well written and the plot was superb.  The detail and imagination that went into the story is truly incredible.  That being said - the repetition drove me nuts and it would get to be too much and I'd put the story aside for awhile.

I can't believe they watered down the story for Sempre?!  I can understand getting rid of the repetition - but the mafia princess?  Why?

I have probably a dozen wips I am reading and one completed one as well as a book. I started out with one wip and while I waited, I read a completed one. Now my wip list has grown and I can read many at once.

Tami I am glad your back feels better. I got a cortisone shot Friday in my elbow, and relief has started today. I have fought tennis elbow for 3 months.

Halloween is approaching and the nights are getting cooler. I was in the mood for an AU fic and found it today. I always loved her writing, a few typos, but I only have 3 more chp and I will have completed it all in one day.

I too read many at a time, in addition to wip - I have books that I am reading and different fic completed works.  BTW also on ebay, music, tv and t/t dh - I get bored easily and always thought I was wired wrong before " multi-tasking" became a catch phase.... who knew.

Thanks Booked, Good Lord, I'm a whiny witch when I hurt. I was doing okay then the third day in I hurt my back again this time worse it made me cry  :'( :'( :'( :'( I never cry lol..

I read lots of WIP's but only 1 finished book at a time. I might start one then realize it's not what is catching my attention meaning I'll flounce a lot at first but eventually I'll go back and start it over.

Jen's mother has been suffering from Parkinson's Disease for a while now, and I know it has been a struggle for her while caring for her.   It's so sad to watch someone you love deteriorate like that and it takes a toll on every aspect of your life.   Her twitter is also gone, and her blog hasn't been updated in over a year.    Her last update for Under "The Same Moon" was a long time ago, and my PM's to her have been unanswered.    She has always maintained that publishing her own work someday was her dream, so even though I hate to say this, I am wondering if she finally decided to do that instead of continuing with fanfiction?   My other thought is that her mom passed away and she's just dealing with real life and getting through that?

I find it odd that there is no explanation for her removing the subsequent chapters of her stories that were complete.   She did leave the unfinished UTSM up for now though, so perhaps she will come back and finish it even if she is publishing?   I guess we'll have to wait and see...    If by chance you happen to see this Jen, we wish you well and hope everything is OK...

I have a lot of her stories, but now I need to go back and see which ones I am missing.     :(

This was one of the possible reasons posted before
