Yes! I want to edit them all!  And I try really hard to ignore them if the story is good. 

I was rec'd "His Personal Assistant" and almost flounced in the first few pages because of the use of "then" instead of "than"  Every other sentence had the misuse of then in it.  AAAUUUUGGGGHHHHH!

I flounced a couple of stories because the authors were frequently using the word "common" as in "Hey, common man."   It should have been "Hey, come on man"  OR "...c'mon..."  I'm not sure where that one came from, but they just keep coming!  If a story is good I can usually ignore errors (if I squint and turn slightly to the left).  Potty-mouth Bella can make me flounce (especially when she starts quoting rap lyrics).  Thanks to the popularity of Emancipation Proclamation, authors randomly inserting Italian phrases can cause me to flounce.  I flounced His Cimmerian View early on.  I just didn't care to read anything more about that Edward (no offense to the author).  I unintentionally flounced Expectations and Other Moving Pieces after reading the first chapter (and adding it to my story alerts).   I forgot to continue reading the story and I have no clue what it's about.  I find that Bella falling in love with her rapist is also flounce-worthy.  Knowing how easily I flounce, I'm surprised I've read as many fics as I have.

Wow - that's unusual.  But then the first guys I ever dated were so annoying, they didn't last long.  Though I really didn't start dating until I was out of high school. 

LOL - I never call it flouncing because most of the time - if I remember I was reading it? - I will go back and finish.  Unless it is really bad.  I have quit reading stuff that looked interesting but was obviously written by a teenager like oh my god for sure!!!  But usually if I get past the first chapter and quit, it's because my browser closed & I forgot what I was reading.  I just remember there was an Edward and a Bella......

I have lost track of so many stories I was reading/skimming because my browser crashed!  Just because I opened 200 tabs, that doesn't give it the right to fall apart.  If I'm lucky, someone will rec a story I started (and lost), then I can complete it. 

  : D Darn those browsers!!!  Who are they to decide what we should read.  And 200 tabs?  Sounds reasonable to me.

I know, right?  Mozilla should hire me to test their browser before they release another version.

This post made me laugh! I'm totally with you in regards to your flounce citeria, Bella Swan quoting rap lyric? Yep, flounce worthy. I hardly ever flounce but I'm flouncing His Cimmerian View ( Sorry Tami you're a stronger woman than me...) I might return to it but I doubt it, this Edward and I don't click....

Am really glad Ella started the other board to share comments about fics. I have so many in my TBR and it will help me a lot in deciding which one to read next.

I'm not sure where most members on this board are based but I so feel out the loop being in the UK, by the time I get online I'm so behind in posts! Well done Ella for starting this new thread it will be really handy to cut down on wasting time on flounce worthy fics
