I'm re-reading Married to the Enemy by Gelix for about the 10th time - I don't know why I keep reading this as Bella & Edward are kinda annoying, they both have got very little personality, yet I still read it.  :-[ :D
Anyone else like that with certain fics - I can't be alone can I?  :banghead: :D

:iagree:

I haven't been into a book store for ages. In fact, most book stores actually closed down for a while but I have noticed that a few are now re-opening - although most only have budget, cheap and nasty books - kind of like a $2 Shop for books. We certainly don't have the lovely book stores where you can lose an entire day, drinking coffee and reading! I miss those.

The nearest one like that is 700km away (if it's still open) - but I'm heading down there on Thursday to see the family for Christmas!
PK what are you reading your books from TUEBL on? Do I need to download something onto my iPad because at the moment  Safari just ain't having it...refuses point blank to download from the site... :'(

I have a sony e-reader, but when I download books for the iPads at school, I save them on my computer then import them into iTunes then sync the iPads. Then I open the books through iBooks. It's a bit of a process, but it means that I also have a back up if the iPads die.

And it works for me - and with my tech skills, that's saying something!

That makes sense as my iPad as refused point blank to download anything from TUEBL....what are you using to read these books with Ella?

I agree, I've stood and bought female erotica in WHSmiths before I swopped to e-books....What I read, watch or play with once I'm a legal adult is my business  ;)
I have a Kindle reader (mobi) and a nook color tablet (epub). I like Kindle books because I can remove the DRM easily using Calibre, and the convert to epub.  Removing DRM from Nook books hasn't been as successful.

Don't you have the Kindle app for iPad in the UK? I would use it over the iBooks app.  You can also download to your computer, import into iTunes, & sync.  More steps, but...

I know this sounds crazy and I have been searching for hours but on my computer the page doesn't have a "download" button. That is why I thought you must be downloading them straight to a reader....

I just tried it & downloaded straight to my reader.  I will have to check it out on the computer later for you unless someone else does it first.

It could be your settings or where you live.  I understand not being able to download on the ipad, but the macbook should have an option.

Hmm. Just saw your screen shot. Mine looks a little different. I don't know how to help at the point

Yes that is what i use Kindle app for iPad but when I try and download using safari on the ipad it tell me point blank no can do! and on my macbook no download button only buy button?

Here is what the screen looks like on my laptop:
The address is identical and everything else looks the same - except I have a download button.

I have no idea, but this is from the FAQ section on the site:

Setup Stanza/iPhone/iPad **Updated to Megareader**
Install stanza on your device.
Install Megareader
Go to "Download Books"
Click Edit
Add  "You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login" to the "Other Catalogs" section.
If there is an option to selet OPDS as the catalouge type, please do so. Otherwise you should be done!

Also this:
How can I import books from Calibre
You can now add books from calibre.  Please follow these instructions to setup and add books.  If these steps are not done properly then the books will not import properly.  Please read all the instructions.

Configure Calibre
Go to preferences
Go to "Sharing books by email"
Click "Add email" on right
in the email address put "books@tuebl.com"
click in the formats column and make sure the only thing there is "EPUB"
Put your email address(the one you registered with the site with) in "Send email from"
Configure your mail server

If all else fails, pm me and I'll email them to you.

Would any of you ladies actually buy those books in a bookstore? I feel like the cover would put me off doing so, especially in England. We're sexually repressed, you see!  ;)

On a note about real books, the other day I saw The Submissive by TSM in a shop and had a fangirl squeal 'OMG I TOTES KNOW THAT!' moment, so I picked it up to look through and then saw a man standing next to me with an expression that can only be described as  >:D. Guess that's what you get for being in the erotic romance section. I don't think I've ever walked away so fast.

I've put Into the Dark by Stacy Green (You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login) on my Christmas list. It's an idea she used for a fic, but this has been completely reworked. It sounds creepy, though, so I'll only read it during the daytime   :D

Do you have any idea what fanfic this was based off?

Nevermind, I believe I found it- Was originally The Hostage (not sure of author fic name) but was pulled incomplete

I have been wanting to read this one but since it's still a WIP I told myself to put it on hold until it's finished but I guess I'll cave eventually :P

Anywho almost finished reading A Quiet Fire by Magnolia822, and so far so good I can't put it down. I'll tell you more once I finish.... Oh there are outtakes :) ^-^

Oh the pretty snow! Where I live is so rare to see snow *sigh*
Don't forget after downloading please press the Thank You button. It doesn't take too much of your time.

It's odd isn't it, it exactly the same screen but no download button I'm wondering if it's just not available in the UK? I'm determined to figure it out!

ETD: Hahahah! I've done it. Worked fine if I use Safari browser on my Macbook but not in Firefox which is my preferred choice and it slips very nicely onto my Calibre library with no fiddling about with iTunes.....

Why do people think a storyline that has Bella be sexually assaulted and have a child resulting from it, then meeting/dating Edward and then finding out he's her attacker is at all appropriate? I've seen this in two stories now and it just makes me feel sick.

Just uploaded a better one. Same pic, just clearer. So, was I anything like anyone expected?
Awl, come on girls, we have been here a lonnng time.
Blondes do have fun *wiggles eyebrows*

Yes, been married 23 years. Two sons. One is 21, the other will be 18 in 2 days.

Good thing about being a blonde?
Those highlights in the sun are really gray.  :D

If we are on the subject of books and we have a great new link....

Try Bared to you by Sylvia Day
Gideon is smokin  :18only:

“I’ve always seen you, angel. From the moment you found me, I’ve seen nothing but you.”
― Sylvia Day, Bared to You

“Oh, Eva." He rubbed his cheek against my damp face. "I must've wished for you so hard and so often you had no choice but to come true.”
― Sylvia Day, Bared to You

“If you crave something, I’ll be the one to give it to you. All of your needs, Eva, are mine to fulfill. Whatever it costs me.”
― Sylvia Day, Bared to You

Sorry but you are not allowed to view spoiler contents.

Our journey began in fire... Gideon Cross came into my life like lightning in the darkness-beautiful and brilliant, jagged and white-hot. I was drawn to him as I'd never been to anything or anyone in my life. I craved his touch like a drug, even knowing it would weaken me. I was flawed and damaged, and he opened those cracks in me so easily... Gideon knew. He had demons of his own. And we would become the mirrors that reflected each other's most private wounds... and desires. The bonds of his love transformed me, even as I prayed that the torment of our pasts didn't tear us apart... "When it comes to brewing up scorchingly hot sexual chemistry, Day has few literary rivals."

Um...and don't forget the sequel

~Mod Edit~ Hotlink Image removed

"I am obsessed with you, angel. Addicted to you. You're everything I've ever wanted or needed, everything I've dreamed of. You're everything. I live and breathe you. For you."
― Sylvia Day, Reflected in You

"I'm caught up with you, Eva." With his head tilted back, Gideon pulled me down for the sweetest of kisses, hi firm lips moving gently beneath mine. "I'd kill for you," he whispered, "give up everything I own for you....but I won't give you up."
― Sylvia Day, Reflected in You

Gideon Cross. As beautiful and flawless on the outside as he was damaged and tormented on the inside. He was a bright, scorching flame that singed me with the darkest of pleasures. I couldn't stay away. I didn't want to. He was my addiction... my every desire... mine.

My past was as violent as his, and I was just as broken. We'd never work. It was too hard, too painful... except when it was perfect. Those moments when the driving hunger and desperate love were the most exquisite insanity.

We were bound by our need. And our passion would take us beyond our limits to the sweetest, sharpest edge of obsession...

AAnnnnd. The third one is due out in about 6 months. Cannot wait!

~Mod Edit~ Hotlink Image removed

Eva is not my favorite character by a long shot, but then again, I am never really satisfied with the female characters. Gideon, good lord, can I have him?

Ugh, jesus I want these books
