If you're really wanting E/B, you can always copy/paste into word and then find/replace the characters for e/b, if that's what you're really in the mood for

If you're really wanting E/B, you can always copy/paste into word and then find/replace the characters for e/b, if that's what you're really in the mood for

But honestly, how much work did you have to do it? Did you change the secondary characters as well?

I'm thinking this will be my new way to fix my fic fix. That just sound wrong.

I bet the fandom won't last much longer with the end of the books and movies. I even started reading other books. Which I haven't been doing..... This is the end. My only friend, the end.

I think it will be around for a while. As old writers leave, new writers arrive. I'm two years behind in this, having started at the end of 2010. So I still have lots to read!!!

I hope not!! I LOVE my twific. I'm thankful as hell for flagfic so that I can save anything I see, I've got enough fic for life.

It's really not a big deal to switch them out. It def'y wouldn't take much time if you did just the two main characters, though I do as many as I can place. I'm a big nerd and actually enjoy the process lol.

I download the ebook as an epub, copy and paste (usually lets you just do a chapter at a time) into Word. Find and replace all the names I want to switch out and then do a spell check. Don't forget that or you'll end up with words like 'Elbellator' (what happened when I changed Eva to Bella in Bared to You-word was supposed to be 'elevator'). Then save the doc as a 'web page'. Add that saved doc to your calibre and convert to epub or mobi.

I know it sounds like a PITA but once you get the hang of it, it's not bad at all.

But again, i'm a total dork and enjoy $hit like this lol.

Next on my book TBR list is You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login The Hate List by Jennifer Brown. Seeing as the boyfriend was a mass murderer, I don't think I'll be in any rush to change his name to Edward

Also, an awkward moment earlier when my cousin who just got a kindle asked to look at the books on mine.. no way I'm explaining half of those titles/authors to a 14 year old. Anyone else who reads fic on an e-reader experienced people nosing into your stash? So uncomfortable, especially given the lemons all the fics I read seem full of!

I know! I'm soooo excited. Changed my whole outlook on books

And I just found out that Word 2010 converts files as well

I'll admit....I plan on changing the characters in any reg. books I read from now on. You get to keep your beloved characters, but get some different story lines and edited material lol.

Still love fic though. I'm going to have to find a vamp fic soon

I will never flounce fic. I love it too much. I don't read much vamp and you read J/B pairing sooo I really don't have any rec's for you

Haha, I have a large tbr list, most are Vampsper so hopefully I'll find something good. Thank God for the non-canon facebook group and their recs

I'll never leave fic either, I love these characters way too much. And though I'm really liking switching characters out in regular books, they don't compare to actual fic that has all the right character descriptions and behaviors.

I actually liked Beautiful Disaster but totally changed the characters around lol.

I am loving it! Am halfway through, slept around 3am and had to consciously put my ipad down so i will go to sleep. It doesn't have much lemon which is refreshing for me after reading so many erotica novels in between fanfics the past few weeks. Again, i "pass over" the descriptions and just keep picturing Rob as Travis, gabe of clpsuperstar to Finch, Rosalie as America, Emmett as Shep etc

. First half had a lot of UST... And not much description of the actual deed but it worked for me.

There is a fanfic called A Beautiful Disaster by dariachenowith. It might be that fic that deranged_dreamer flounced and not this one by mcguire?

Exactly! The fic writers know the characters and are pretty good at keeping them intact. Even extreme OOC, which are my favorite fics anyway.

Beautiful Disaster was good, but I have a hard time reading anything BDSM after reading The Submissive, The Dominant and The Training. I feel these are the best ones in the fandom.

I loved this story

I also thought it was refreshing that there weren't any real lemons.

The second book, Walking Disaster, is out in the spring (I think) and I believe it's Travis' POV (well...Edward for you and Jasper for me lol)

I feel the same way! I loved loved loved The Submissive. (Never read The Dominant or The Training though, that was the one fic I didn't want Edward's POV, I thought he needed to remain mysterious). I never had a desire to read any other BDSM after that, though.
