Have you tried Starry Eyed Inside by Rochelle Allison?  It's a high school fic, but I liked it.  Made me feel nostalgic about high school instead of dirty for waggling my eyebrows for a high school E.  Wait, did that make sense because it totally made sense in my head?

High School Fictional. No one sends Bella into a tailspin quite like Edward Cullen... but can she make him hers? The ups and downs and all arounds.

2 other high school fics I enjoyed:
Have I mentioned I effing hate Edward Cullen by ASparkSoApparant

"He's the bane of my existence. The chip to my manicure. The pus to my pimple. The smell to my dirty laundry. So why did I find him so freaking sexy!" A story about the fine line between hate and lust.

The teenage angst brigade by jandco

A deal was made, a pact to keep five friends from the pitfalls of high school disparity. If only Edward hadn’t wanted Bella, it might have lasted…

Terms and Conditions Apply by TheSaintsMistress

There's only one person on this earth that Edward Cullen hates, and that's his boss...Bella Swan. She's cold. She's ruthless and incapable of human emotion, and to Edward's greatest frustration, the hottest woman walking the face of the planet.

Sorry if I'm posting recs already made.  I'm not sure when everyone started reading fics and sometimes some good ones get lost in the shuffle when there are so many good reads.

I've tried to read SEI and I keep losing interest. I'm gonna try again. Need to rid my brain of Frontline

Frontline = LAME  :thumbsdown:

I flounced it after the rewrite. I was reading the comments on ADF, I can't even remember what they said about it, but it made me flounce. I took it from my alert.

I was determined to finish. It would have bugged me to no end. Now I need brain bleach.

Trying to think about what to read next. I am thinking a book. Anyone read the Hush hush series?

Am I gonna get bored because it is h.s. ?

Lemonade is required

I really enjoyed the last fallen angel series I read, but it was also erotica.  Anyone got anything to rec?

Do you mean Hush Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick? (the following isn't major plot point spoilery, just pieces of ridiculous spoilery)

Ugh. I read the very first one, and HATED the heroine in this one. The hero, Patch, was good, in an "I need to kill this girl" stalker sort of way. But Nora, the heroine, drove me insane. You know how people thought Edward was icky because he always watched over Bella, down to sneaking into her window and watching her sleep?

Well Nora has good reason to suspect that Patch is trying to kill her (SOMEONE is), and yet she goes chasing after him anyway!

And I don't remember any sex. At All. Some grinding and dry humping minutes after a butcher knife incident, but no actual sex, if I remember right.

But if you want to read them, I DO have the entire series ( I still plan to read them all) if you'd like me to send them to you.

I tried Hush Hush, but I had found myself losing interest and moved on to another book.  Not bad, just.. maybe I wasn't in the mood.  If you want a hs read, have you tried Jennifer L. Armentrout's Lux series?

Have you read JR Ward's Black Dagger Brotherhood series?  One of my fav series

If you're just after angels, have you read the Guild Hunters series by Nalini Singh? I LOVE this series, totally hot alpha male Archangel lead, and a female lead who isn't a wuss. And good sex.

Angelfall by Susan Eeg was EXCELLENT, but alas, no sex. But AWESOME book, I mean AWESOME.

Kristina Douglas (AKA Anne Stuart) also has an angel series, but I haven't read it yet. It's on the TBR though.

Ohhh what happened?

Nothing really, but I think my sheer lack of interest and the boring story helped in my dislike of the fic. Those are 4 hours of reading I ain't never getting back. Now I need brain bleach to remove the waste of time that was Frontline. Frik!

Hummm. Maybe....one of these.

A Touch of Crimson
Can a love that transcends death survive a war between angels, vampires, and lycans?

An angel with immense power and insatiable desire, Adrian Mitchell leads an elite Special Ops unit of the seraphim. His task is to punish the Fallen--angels who have become vampires--and command a restless pack of indentured lycans.

But Adrian has suffered his own punishment for becoming involved with mortals--losing the woman he loves again and again. Now, after nearly two hundred years, he has found her: Shadoe, her soul once more inhabiting a new body that doesn’t remember him. This time he won't let her go.

With no memory of her past as Shadoe, Lindsay Gibson knows only that she can't help being fiercely attracted to the smoldering, seductive male who crosses her path. Swept into a dangerous world of tumultuous passion and preternatural conflict, Lindsay is soon caught between her angel lover, her vampire father, and a full-blown lycan revolt. There’s more at stake than her love and her life--she could lose her very soul...

Or

Pleasures of the Night
In the Twilight between sleep and consciousness, a battle rages between Dream Guardians and Nightmares. Captain Aidan Cross is a legend, as skilled in fulfilling erotic dreams as he is with the glaive that kills his enemies. Women see Aidan as part of their fantasies . . . except Lyssa Bates. Exquisite, desirable, enigmatic Lyssa perplexes this immortal seducer because she sees him as he really is. And as he attempts to unravel her secrets the unthinkable occurs: Aidan Cross falls in love.

Lyssa has been having the most incredible dreams about a man whose blue eyes hold the promise of decadent pleasures and tempting intimacies. And then he appears on her doorstep! This intoxicating stranger is just as irresistible as the man of her dreams . . . but with her surrender there is also grave danger . . .

Because Aidan is on a mission, and the passion that consumes them body and soul could have dire consequences. Loving the mortal woman prophesied to destroy Aidan’s world is not only impossible . . it is forbidden.

If you read these, lemme know how they are, I've only ready Sylvia Day's Bared To You. Loved it, but waiting on the series to be finished to continue.

I was thinking it was okay, but probably not your cup of tea - but then I remembered I was thinking of Fallen.  I read a bunch of these around the same time.  But now that i think about it, I'm not sure I read Hush, Hush.  It was one of those I kept putting down.

Ugh Fallen by Lauren Kate? Hated those too!

Around the time I got my first Kindle, I checked out a whole bunch of those Twilight knock off YA series, and almost all of them left me cold, and I quit after the first book. Hush Hush, Fallen, Evermore by Allison Noel, all horrible to me. The only ones I really liked were Maggie Stiefvater's Wolves of Mercy Falls series, and her Faerie series, those were pretty good. This year, I did read the Unearthly series by Cynthia Hand and really liked those.
