We you anyway Ella. Oh BTW I was reading the post about spellings, My pet peeve "where" and "were"! God give me strength but when I see those two words used wrongly? I just want to poke my eyes out and set my hair on fire! To say nothing of spelling mistakes in ANs... Surely that is the one thing every writer would check, Right?

Actually, AN's with errors does make sense, since that is usually not something preread by a beta or prereader

Susnpr got all my rec's on Actorward except Unexpected Love (which has been pulled but is on the other thread) But you may not like it - I think it is love at first sight

OK ladies can you recommend some great Actorward fics? I keep hearing chatter that Actorward is a favourite 'characterization' but I've yet to read a decent story..The one's I've come across (*cough* Words with Friend) have made my head hurt apart from Diva Diaries. I'd like a juicy, maturely written, well though out plot were E+B don't fall in love at first in a day...or is Actorward too in touch with his feminine side to ever do UST?

LOL! It's only "drabble" in this case because the chapters are about 100-200 words long. And the story? Yeah, it's not a good drabble subject really. I read around 60 'chapters' and it felt like 2 regular chapters. She was also updating about 5 chapters a day. So really, it wasn't any longer than most of the other stories I tend to read.

I do hate this love of drabble though. I realize some authors do it for the challenge of writing daily. But most, in my opinion just do it for the review numbers. And probably the hits. Most of the stories are not good drabble stories.

I agree with u on that , some time author write in drabble for more reviews..some of the drabbles were written so badly with poor story still got more than 3k-4k reviews.I am not fan of drabble, because i never get a feel of story with 10-15 line in every chapter.Its like you are reading important notes just before exam. :lol But there are few drabble which are my absolutely fav..ofcourse i read it after it was complete.

I read SS&SD as a WIP... I liked the beginning then got really bored towards the end It's a good read though

I read Loner as a WIP as well from the beginning, it sucked waiting for updates

Yea....I did as well. Thought it was awesome for the first half and then just.....got bored and quit reading.

Well I just finished reading last night A Pound of Flesh by jaxon22, and I must say that I loved PAW

It was a read you just couldn't put down. Greatly recommended since it is a HEA. So if you haven't read it please do so

Personally I didn't think so...there's a lot there and they've passed the UST stage, but I wasn't best pleased when I got to chp 20 and realised that was it. Another one that somehow slipped past my no WIP radar...

I started this story a long time ago and quit reading it because it takes her forever to update and I have to go back and reread the thing so that I am not confused. There is another story that I have heard nothing but good thing about. It was recommended on the lemonade stand. Head Over Feet by Iambeagle at 18 Ch to date. It is a WIP and I want to read it so bad buuuut I am afraid I will get sucked in and be on the pins and needles up date list alert. Yes I agree, I love this story I can visualize her little world with her writing style. She up dated not to long ago but before that it had been months! It was high on my favorite list at one time but if they take forever to update it drops lower and lower to the point I wont want to read it any more until it is complete. I think that I like to frustrate myself or create my own type of angst. I have not started Wisp for the same reason. I heard that it is very good and everyone is talking about it but.........

Yes I agree I think that I may have to curb my appetite just a bit for WIP it didn't used to bother me if the story took forever to update or never completed at all because there was always another one to take its place. The authors seem to be better now however and are writing better story lines than in the past. It isn't all about lemons or love at first sight. The stories are more complex so they are harder to move on from.

It brings to mind last year; I started reading the series A Song of Fire and Ice, after watching the first episode of Game of Thrones...I excited downloaded them all from Amazon at once and read like a thing possessed! Only to get to the end of book 3 and realise the series isn't finished, and not only that, but that it had been over 10 YEARS between book 3 and the release of 4 which was released earlier this year; 10 YEARS!! And the author is an old, rather large, not very well looking, man in his mid 60s.....and apparently there is another 2 books before this epic can call it a day. It does not bod well that George R R Martins fans (of which I'm a rabid one) will ever see the end of this....needless to say I curse him, a lot...

I tend to read WIP's only from selected authors normally. They are the ones who update regularly and complete their stories. That said? Yeah I been sucked in by recs $:-\$
