Pound of flesh is also in my list.I guess i will start reading this one. I just finished The diva diaries & i wasnt very keen to read that one but definately that story totally surprised me in good way ofcourse .

I hope Pound of flesh does the same for me.

I really liked Diva Diaries, it was a really well thought out story....Which brings me to another point. How many of you ladies mind non E+B coupling in a E+B HEA during the build-up of the story? Personally I really like it as it builds ST but I know there are some that only ever want E+B exclusivity once they've acknowledged each other. Really interested to hear differencing opinions on this.

No sorry - I want to say that it was called Isle Esme but it was over 4 years ago and I was amazed that such a thing as fanfic existed!
There are a squillion one shots of the honeymoon on fanfic.net.

Just finished The Wedding by Kismetian. Not quite sure how I missed it, as I thought I'd read all hers; but well pleased to have made the discovery. Good story, bit of conflict, but as it's Kismetian you know you get an HEA. Made for a lovely AM.

SUMMARY: Its the perfect wedding and the perfect groom. Its just a shame the perfect bride isn't Bella Swan. She has to stand there as bridesmaid and watch the man she loves marry her best friend. The best man offers consolation and things just go downhill from there!

A Pound of Flesh is a very good read, loved it to pieces,,, I have moved up the Diva diaries a lot since being rec'd here I think I'll read it over the weekend

Thanks for the explanation! I can imagine I'd want to play it safe too rather than risk losing my work etc. I guess from now on when I start to read one I'll look through the beginning of the chapters before sending it to my kindle. With Out of Sight, Out of Mind it was clear at the top of one of the chapters that you needed to go to a diff website to get the lemony version. ;-)

- was wondering if anyone has any rec's of anything similar, where both Bella and Edward are pretty feisty.
I'm kind of fed up reading fics where Bella is weak and whiny and Edward is the only character taking control of EVERYTHING.
I'd really wanna read a fic atm that is funny and agnsty in equal parts.

you know I stopped around chapter 7, I just couldn't stand Alice. I will give it another read. Thank you for letting me know that it does get better.

trust me after 7-8 chapters , it just get better & better.Like fairytale lovestory for EB ofcourse they have to face all the problems around them but it doesnt affect ther relationship at all.You know when i say that 2 EX decide to give each other another chance & build relationship than this one is definatey 1 of my fav.

arghhhh dont remind me of alice, I never hated alice character so much in any fics infact after this fic i dont like alice at all. not even fics where she is postive character.

its like i want to read fics where she is bad.

Amazing part of the story that she is not negative character, but if u are EB shipper than u automatically hate her.. infact author wrote her chracter from her personal exeprience in RL.

I've not read Screamers, so I don't know if the two are similar, but I can rec'd This Is Not My Life by IsaKassees for meeting all your qualifications.

No whiny Edward or Bella. Edward's a major DiLF as well as a rather terrific dad; and Bella's one incredibly strong woman, who you'd be hard pressed not to like. And it definitely has funny and angsty in equal measure. You'll find her characters spot on, including all the secondary ones - some of the funniest moments are between Charlie & Alice.

SUMMARY: Follow Bella as she tries to survive a madman's abduction and keep a stranger's child from succumbing to his wild fantasies, and follow Edward as he tries to stay sane searching for his daughter taken right before his eyes.

Just a note - it is complete, though she says she wants to do another epilogue. But really? Yeah, it's been done for a couple of chapters. Anything more is just additional goodness.

If you're worried about the angsty or abuse aspect. This may help - I'm a COMPLETE & UTTER wuss-perv. NGL

Working with abused children in RL is all the angst my heart can endure. So my entertainment choices shy away from it.

But there are a few author's I'm friends with that know what I can and cannot handle, and they lead me thru their stories. Although in this case, Isa just told me when it was safe to begin and I read it straight thru til after the kidnapping - so it was all good.

I even handled her FGB auction for ALS. (It's where a good many of the outtakes came from, as well as the novella. She was so gobsmacked her auction went for such a large amount, with so many ppl contributing; she wanted to be certain everyone felt they got their money's worth. She's a sweetheart like that.)

I hope you give it a go. It is well worth a read. Cheers!
