She is one of my favs.

I do know CaraNo never replies to reviews, though she does thank everyone for them in the AN.  But she also has a young baby and writes like a crazy person.  ;)

Counselor is also writing so much I can't see her replying to anyone.

I do take those things in consideration. And how many reviews the fic is getting.

Hello, I've been lurking around for a few days. I just discovered this website around a week ago.  I'll be nice to talk Twilight fanfiction with someone- none of my friends are in the fandom. Apparently not many other mid twenties Psych students have good taste in vampire stories.  ;D

I'm searching for any fics that are similar to Dooba's "Torn" or Wishingforlove81's (unfinished) "Finding Bella." I tend to like fics where Bella is living with the Cullen clan due to traumatic experiences. I've seen a few like this, but I know there must be more than just a couple. AH and vampire AU are both encouraged. Anyone know of anything? Downloads for pulled fanfic would be welcomed as well as links. I'm getting upset with ff.net pulling all of the good Twilight fanfic!

For lots of pulled stories, go to these threads on PTS:

On the second link there are also some websites full of information about different genres of stories.  I haven't read the stories you named so I'll leave it to others to make some specific recommendations.

My suggestions would be Wide Awake by AngstGoddess and Hit by Destiny - both complete or Wisp by Cris which is a WIP.

They are similar, though not necessarily the same.  In both Wide Awake & Hit by Destiny, Bella stays with the Cullens at some point.  But Bella-wise? Yeah, similar.  And Edward is a bit of a douche in both to start, but eventually becomes a sweetheart to Bella.

Hit by Destiny -  You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

I'm currently on my 2nd fanfic and have just finished reading all 35 pages of this thread (not at once) and found tons of good recommendations!   I was wondering about Just Wait and Loner?  Are they HEA?   I want to avoid non-HEA's at all cost!

Also, I noticed a few people recommended Dusty.   Is it complete?  Is it worth reading?

I noticed a while back people were talking about grammatical errors that bug them...   my biggest pet peeve is when they write "I seen him at the grocery store".    "Seen" really gets under my skin for some reason.  LOL :)

While reading through this thread I sent tons of fics to my kindle.  They're all ones that I am sure I want to read so I think rather than trying to sort them I'm just going to randomly read them and then when I'm finished I'll remove them from my Kindle to clear up the list.    Thanks for all the great recommendations!   I have a feeling after I read a few of these fics I won't even remember what actually happened in the original books.

Uh, yeah.  I don't know if I could honestly say I liked the series at all...

Do you ladies like reading companion stories?  I always seem to flounce the second one.  I guess I find it a little boring if I know what is going to happen?

Do you mean sequels? If so, I think it depends on the first story and how it ended. I read "Anywhere but Here" by SparklingTwilight. It was really good, and there was a sequel talked about that I would love read if were posted, but she wrote that with a partner and RL is just getting in the way.

yeah, I do. But I like it better when they don't do too much overlap.  For instance, the EPOV of Virgins & Villians skipped over stuff to the point you had to read the original to know what was going on at times. Now WWF/WWS had chapters where she states in the AN you only need to read one. Yeah, I read EPOV LOL! ;)

Not sequels exactly, more the same story (basically) from different POV.  Like The Naked Guy Upstairs/The New Girl Downstairs, Words with Friends/Words with Strangers or Secrets and Lies/Edward's Secrets and Lies.

That is exactly my problem with them.  And not just companion pieces per se.  It took me three tries to finish EP and I absolutely loved the story, but the repetition kinda drove me nuts...

I like knowing ahead of time I don't need to read stuff.  But usually? I skim through the repetitive stuff.

Me too. On rare occasions I want to know what Edward thought when something happens.
And normally it's before e/b get together.

Like this last chapter from Yosemite Decimal.

Bella was high on painkillers, so I bet she said some embarrassing stuff. But she doesn't remember it.

It's a fun fic so far.
