It is my new Copy drive. Supposedly it will work much better with Calibre. So updates will be much faster as I don't have to get out & copy files....

Maybe I have too many tabs open, but I got the "A script on this page is not responding" I tried both continuing and stopping the script but just perpetually tried to load, but wouldn't load.

It seems that the search function at Fanfiction.net is not working right now. When you try to search an author/story (in the search box), you get the following error message : "FanFiction.Net Error Type 1". But if you already have bookmarked the link of the story and then click on that link then it's OK.

Just wanted to check if you have the same problem.

It seems that the search function is working again. It's probably just another temporary insanity from fanfiction.net (one of the many latety).

I tried this morning and could not get fanfiction downloader to work, with and without newest update.
Storymaster would not work also, gave me a could not find link message.
Looks like I will be learning about add ons for Calibre this weekend.

It was very refreshing to see a different esme, james and victoria. And surprise, emmett and alice were not mentioned (i think). Rose's name was just mentioned in passing. Jasper and carlisle very different as well. Quite an enjoyable read

Seems too big for my computer... it loads and loads and loads... Well, it's good to know they are out there...

Yeah, I'm having the same problem with it. It takes forever to load. Darn it!!

Did you get the new version? The stand alone FFDL is always a little slower to update than the Calibre plugin. If you decide to try Calibre, may I suggest using my library format & setting up the metadata? It makes organizing and searching so much easier. The links are in the top post at the bottom. The library is just a folder. But copy it to wherever you want your books and then do a switch/create library, browse to where you put the folder, then click use the previously existing library. ...and click okay.

It has one story in it. Just to get you started.

I just tried the new version. Not working at all. Just sits there. I have no idea what's wrong since there is no error message.

And? Calibre's FFDL (same program in plugin version) is working fine. I think the difference is, the plugin has multiple people who submit fixes. So stuff gets done pretty quickly. If Jim isn't available, someone else who wants it done usually writes some code, and puts a temporary fix out there. Then Jim just has to check it and submit it to Calibre.

Is anyone else unable to log in to FF.net? I was going to leave a review, and can't seem to log in, but the story page loaded fine.

I just tried to get in to reply to a PM & couldn't get in. But the stories seem to work.

But this is weird, it didn't let me log in a few minutes ago, but I just tried pulling it up and it shows I am logged in. the first time? I was accessing from a PM link. The second time I went directly to FFnet. Now that I think about it, my earlier PM didn't work either. But I just tried a story link and it worked fine.

What is URL, you use download from Fictionpad that pattyrose - Nine Months - A Cullen Legacy Short Story. I go there Fictionpad and open that story’s page and copy that URL link ( the address bar )
try to download story using FLAG. I get error.

I Don’t understand I have already download one story from Fictionpad using Flag.
Testing that ( downloading ) when story download using Flag come possible from Fictionpad.
… and now I am not able to download anything from there what I try to download.

I have not still patience

start to learn how to use calibre to downloading. I need to get all
fanfiction stories save what I want to save before learning new way to download them.

New update 0.8.6 is not working. This is the statement from Fanfictiondownloader's website:

"Version 0.8.6 is not working at the moment! Please don't send emails, I'm working on solving the issue. (Feel free to mail if you know C++/QT)"
