This is the new thread as the other was sooo long and had lots of pages. Continuation of our wonderful discussions on Twilight Fanfiction, Books, and Life in general.  But mostly Twilight fanfics... and life stuff that will get me a NOT ALLOWED statement.

Okay, you can right click on this - You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login  And select copy link address. 

Otherwise, when you open the story - click Read - then not in the URL (the address that says You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login)  but on the story title, you have to click on the title and it will open up the actual story.  Then the URL for the story will show up that you can copy into Flagfic. 

I don't really like   It is harder to use that even Twilighted.   

Finding stories is hard too. And now it has picture squares so you get hardly any stories on a page.

No, still can not download from fictionpad. 

Why this is so hard now 

Maybe little sleep will help me understand better    this problem...  because here is time

Tried to download from fpad too and got "error: source website down"

Now, have to change my mind about Curve Ball  it was fun at first, but after a while, the very short chapters were killing it for me...it was also a bit uncomfortable reading a "dumbed down" edward...trudging along to finish it and hope i get over my funk about it (can't flounce  )

Edward isn't dumb. He just knows how to deal with Bella.

I just finished the next one. Grand Slam. It was amusing. The short chapters can be annoying though. Have you got to Annie Oakley yet?

I tried to read that as a WIP. I have trouble with embarrassing humor. 

But if you like I love Lucy humor, you should like it.

My husband just threw a pillow at me...to shut me up from laughing too much while reading just the first 2 chapters  . I forgot how much i love vancouver canuck girl's writing!! This is sooo funny... with The Real Life of EA Masen in my top 10, i can only expect this one to be good as well. 

Have been MIA in the last few days - 4 weeks until Summer vacation!

Just did an update to Calibre (Version 1.11) and was able to d/l from fictionpad and ff.net with no problems at all.

In fact, fictionpad was super fast!

Also, they released their mobile version today.

I can't comment - I don't read on my phone so didn't go there on my phone before and haven't been there since. They do seem really eager to make the site user-friendly, so give them feedback. It might eventually become the best option over the total fuckery that is becoming ff.net!

What is URL, you use download from Fictionpad that pattyrose - Nine Months - A Cullen Legacy Short Story. I go there Fictionpad and open that story’s page and copy that URL link ( the address bar )
try to download story using FLAG. I get error. 

I Don’t understand I have already download one story from Fictionpad using Flag.
Testing that ( downloading ) when story download using Flag come possible from Fictionpad.
… and now I am not able to download anything from there what I try to download. 


I have not still patience  start to learn how to use calibre to downloading. I need to get all
fanfiction stories save what I want to save before learning new way to download them. 
Stories list is still very, very, very, ve…     long.

I do exactly the same thing Ella does when using Fictionpad and Flag.
But I've found that not all fics copy from there as you get an error message quite a lot of the time.

I'm pretty sure we could make this into a great drinking game. 
I'm also sure if we played this while reading some fics, we'd all be pissed by the 3rd or 4th chapter. 

My fave one on this though is THAT ISN'T LUBE. 

what's bad is that some of these show up in good fics too. Does Last Tango in Forks ring any bells?

But I'm all for drinking games.

Fanfictiondownloader has a new update - v.0.8.7 - and it works!  Yay!

How do you make a PDF from a story on Fanfiction,net? Is that possible?

That's one of the main reasons I still use mainly Fanfictiondownloader to download stories instead of Calibre because Calibre doesn't offer PDF or Word output formats.
