I've been catching up with some of the (shorter) fics that have been rec'd here recently and liked each of the following. Thank you ladies for the recs!

Sweet, it fits nicely in the epilogue of TCL. Edward finally gets to experience pregnancy with Bella. It has been a while since I read TCL so I was pleased with the subtle refreshers included so there is no need to reread. It could probably stand on it's own, but that wouldn't be as fun.

I thought this was funny. Snarky sarcastic funny. Edward's kind of a dork, but in a sweet way and Bella gives the story a nice edge. HS fic. A clipped writing style with short chapters. Haven't decided if I'll read the sequel of them in college.

there are a lot of stories that I enjoyed reading but would never pay for. Unless they get totally rewritten.  Because I will put up with a lot of bad writing in a fanfic that I would never put up with in a real book. 

I was just thinking the same thing yesterday after finishing Across the lines by Lost Twi Sisters (135 chapters). I like the story line but the story could be told in 30-40 chapters. It was just chapters after chapters after chapters of mind numbing S E X and mundane stuffs. and the Kicker is , after 135 chapters, the story is still unresolved.

I see a sequel in the future. The sad thing is i will most probably read it so that i can get to the end of the story.

I haven't read this yet, but there is a sequel already started called Beyond the Lines.

I just skimmed the last update to see what you were all talking about - 3 sex scenes, and reference to 4 more orgasms on a flight to Greece in one chapter.

PWP is all well and good, but not for 147 + chapters. All that clit-pinching gets a little painful after a while!

my problem is that i am the type that will stay on a runaway train just to see how bad the wreck can get. I really need to get off this train. I think i will wait for the sequel to finish and just skim the last chapter to get the ending. Going to read facing the inevitable instead.

I finished reading Altered Measures and i really enjoyed it. It centered mostly on their relationship/dealing with becoming parents. I like her writing, i had a wonderful time reminiscing when my kids were infants. Cuddling cute little babies, the joy you feel when they laugh at you, doing their "firsts" of everything. The changing of the diaper scene was funny and oh so true! This was a fluffy read, just the right amount of lemons and angst. 

Oh, I just finished Heat! It was so good! I really didn't think I would like it as I've never been interested in reading any of the wolf stories, but with Edward as the Alpha, I decided to give it a shot. So sad I can't post a glowing review as PrincessRachael has pulled all her stories from FFN. I couldn't find it when I just searched PTS, but I checked and Ella's got it in her Google drive if you need a copy. I read it pretty quickly, and PrincessRachael lived up to her potential after My Mate and My Power. There was a lot of heat and action between our shifting B&E. A definite rec from me. Now what next...
