I totally forgot until 2am this morning that yesterday was mine and the hubby's 1st wedding anniversary. I should of remembered as it was also our 7th anniversary of being together.
I woke the hubby up crying and asked him why he didn't remind me (he never forgets b'days, anniversaries etc) and he said he didn't want me to stress about it and that he still loved me even though I've got a shit memory. 
Which made me cry even more and then I puked on him!!! 

How the hell he's stayed with me for 7 years I'll never know.

I've no idea how the hubby remembers dates to everyone's birthdays etc but he does and there's me who can barely remember my own kids birthdays half the time. 

Lol, you're idea actually sounds like fun hun, but it would be just another thing I lose at with the hubby.
We do things where whoever loses as to have a "punishment" of sorts, you'd think the hubby would figure out by now that I'm actually starting to lose things on purpose just for the "punishment".

Don't feel too bad, me and hubby have been married for almost 30 years and I still forget!  Hubby thinks it is funny and has started to wait and see how long it takes me to remember!   

They are charging for serials that are not guaranteed to complete? Yeah, I don't think so. Bad enough to be stuck with an incomplete fanfic that at least I didn't pay for. 

And at $2 to $3 a pop, you'll end up paying more than you would for a full book. This practice is really annoying me. I'm good if each story can stand on its own. In which case it's a collection of short stories with the same theme.

Yeah, this is how I feel about H.M. Ward's The Arrangement series. Book 12 comes out in December, but I don't know if that will be the last part or not, and none of my research helped me figure it out. Fortunately CD Reiss' series is complete with 7 parts, though she now says she may release a Coda/epilogue some time next year for those who still want just a little more. I finished the last book yesterday and can say it's finished without the Coda, though I'll be one of the first ones to get it when it comes out! 

While I recommend all of her books but I'd say you're probably best to start of with her first book: You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login.
I warn you though hun, her writing style is different to most authors out there and she's not afraid of causing you a major head fuck either (and I've told her this several times, to which she just laughs) 

Thanks! I saw that book 2, Masked Innocence, doesn't come out until next year, so I'll hold off on that for a little while. I liked the series to be complete first. I did just download the Dumont Diaries though. Thanks for the rec.


So I started a trilogy yesterday by Miranda Rush. The genre is Amish erotic romance! I like Amish/MOB stories and also like erotica so I was curious... I'm on the third book now. It's, um, interesting... Kind of hot, but still a little strange to hear swear words in the mind of an Amish woman. Definitely not used to that. 

Actually, I just checked and depending on where you live, you can get the omnibus for 99cents on Amazon right now.

Yeah, I bought it for 99 cents thinking - this is a great deal.  Then I found out I have to buy the next one which is something like $3.99 if I want the whole story.  And that's just number 5.  I'm counting that freebie one as 4, I think that is what was said. And there are 2 more or so?  Yeah, I start losing interest.  Also? I'm really not big into submissive stories.  The reviews say it is like FSoG in that there isn't any real BDSM and there is a story in there between the lemons..... That was the only reason I bought it.

  If it releases the way a lot of these do, there will probably be an omnibus for sequence two out soon. (I'd expect it to have Control, Burn, Resist and Sing). And compared to FSoG, there's a lot more story here (at least to me). And yeah, if you're looking for a BDSM book, don't look for it here--there's no hardware or need for contracts--it's not that kind of book.
