Okay, here is a place to discuss what you are reading, ask for recommendations and complain about the writing.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion, so please play nice

OMG  Astro - Thank you from the bottom of my heart for giving me my Rob fix of the day.   I've been suffering from withdrawal symptoms because of no sightings the last couple of days.    He's getting too good at flying under the radar.

I recently discovered for Angel in the Attic and I've read it through atleast twice so far.  It's a lighthearted, but interesting little kink in the story.
Kink?  In AitA? Lol, that's the first time I've heard that. Hehe. I'm glad you liked it though. I have9 stories up on ffn right now and I've forgotten how many over on FWAR, but there's more there. If you're interested, take a peek. :-)

Glad it sounds like organization, because the reality looks a little more like chaos right now.
Sounds like organized chaos.  :D :D :D

Astro and Booked - your posts made me laugh so much and put some really weird thoughts in my head involving Ashton, tractors and water.  ^-^ :D
Eacalltheway - that is definitely the first time someone has associated anything posh with me. :D  :-*
Astro hun, how the hell am I suppose to not jump the hubby after seeing those pics. :P :P

LOOPY, CONGRATULATIONS!!! She looks beautiful--great job on that little bundle of joy and on picking a great name! Glad you and your family are safe.

Welcome LeolaMae!

Astro - Thanks for the Robp0rn, it's been awhile since we had our fix!

Anchalee/Deranged Dreamer/ anyone who read Iteration: The Perks and Pitfalls of Talking Too Much--can you spoil with me whether this is a menage with Jasper? I saw B/E/J and am not really interested in a love triangle. Thanks!

So curiosity got the better of me, and I wanted to know what would have caused all the hate mail to get this author to pull all her stories. Honestly, I didn't get it. Though this story started out a little choppy, it matured and developed into a really good fic that's worth the read. Perhaps some of the drama was unnecessary, but I liked it. I wish I could leave the author a positive note, but I'm too late for that bandwagon. :(  I couldn't find this uploaded to link anywhere. If anyone wants it, I can upload the epub to the 152 thread--just let me know.

Salacious by cutestkidsmom
Genre: Drama, Romance
Characters: Bella, Edward
Rating: M
Chapters: 50
Words: 191,084
Summary: In a world where money is power, and power is everything, Edward must stay true to the society he was raised in to, and stay true to its values. Laid back Bella is the object of his affection, and he will stop at nothing to have her, What is your life worth? Would you hand it over to a beautiful stranger for money? M for language, sexual content, and some violent situations AH

So I left the world of drama for the lovely work of LyricalKris and am left feeling nice and light after reading Suddenly. I thought it was sweet. It could have been a little longer, but it was a nice little journey with an older actorward.

Suddenly
By: LyricalKris
An apathetic actor. A young girl coming into her own. He was always larger than life to her. She was always just a child on the edge of his horizon. For both, love was a silly game other people played, until it wasn't.

It's nowhere near a triangle! Read it! It's funny, but lemonfree (T-rated) !  :D

Can you please pm me a longer summary for Salacious? A lot of people didn't like it, it seems to be about topics I don't like to read about... spoil me, please!

Jasper is a older child, central to the story, but not romantically.  It's mostly a fun, fluffy quick read.

I don't think that was the fic people bugged her about.  There was one with an autistic child, and some people were very unhappy with her portrayal as it did not meet their experiences.  I'm the much older sister to a severely autistic man and mom to a high functioning autistic daughter, so I am well aware of how not the same each version of autism can look, but even so I tend to avoid autism fics because of how protective of my daughter I feel.  Plus they rarely deal with the negatives of autism, the temper tantrums, the phobias, the holding onto grudges for years.

Like I said before, there's a little more drama than was necessary, but I found myself constantly engaged in what would happen next to further the plot. Even with the tiny bit of excessive drama, there wasn't overly done angst so I was never left feeling like the writer needed to just stop and move things forward. It progressed nicely. I didn't know anything about the fic when I started reading it other than that the author received hate mail about it, so I'm a little surprised to read that a lot of readers didn't like it. My guess would be that the provocative background of the fic would turn off a certain type of reader. My guess is that of those readers, there are the type who start leaving reviews of something they didn't even read. Those peeps drive me crazy--those who jump on the bandwagon crucifying a fic over either a comment someone else says or a quote taken out of context. Both Bella and Edward are flawed characters in this fic--especially in the beginning--and I enjoyed reading their journey of maturation. But, to each her own. I liked it. (Writing wise, I'd say the first few chapters were a bit choppy, but it gets better.)

Thank you for that elaborate summary. I'll put it back on my TBR list, but am not in the mood for it atm...  :-* :-* :-*

I need fluff and fun, funny fluff, some literary realism would be nice too... just nice stories without too much drama/angst...

Okay, this makes more sense. While I'd agree that Salacious is provocative, I wouldn't understand hate mail about it--unless of course the senders didn't actually read it.

I do understand that. However,  what other sound would a cow in mid-orgasm make?  ;-)
The sound isn't really central to the story anyway. It carries the same theme a lot of my stories have: unconditional acceptance. That's what I'd like readers to get out of all of my work. An author can wish, I suppose.

That is a laudable ambition.

That single phrase is the reason I will never read this fic. Let's get serious people, especially when it comes to money.

I have no rec's for you right now, I am reading so much Sterek, with Sherlock breaks in between :P

Welcome, Leola mae, know that I love you. Never read Volturi Dairy, the theme wasn't my cup of tea, but I've read everything else, and I adore it. I might have to re-read Attic some time soon.
