As my mum used to say we can't all like the some things and thank goodness we don't.   I personally loved Smugward's internal ramblings, I thought they were hilarious.   :-*
I think it would have been great as a WIP. I think I just wasn't in the mood at the time. And really? I don't think I flounced until near the end. ;)

A Quiet Fire was a very great fic! One of my all-time-favorites. Definitely HEA for E/B. I can't remember the details though, because I read it 2 years ago. Excellent writing and not too much angst as far as I remember.

Thank you! :-*

One of my favorite words is lucious. It sounds so sexy. Lol

One of my least favourite words is lascivious - It doesn't sound sexy, no matter it's definition.

I cringe every time I read it now.

I really like its synonym, salacious.

Ugh! These books are sitting in my library just itching to be read. I can't wait for the series to complete so I can read them and see what all the fuss has been about. I was so disappointed when I learned she extended the series.  >:(

Chloe Cox's Club Volare series (You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login) and Sierra Cartwright's Mastered series (You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login) are the only two series I'm reading as they come out--since each book builds upon the previous, yet focuses on new characters. Essentially they stand alone, but are richer if you've been reading them in order.

You will not be disappointed when you start them. I'll have to check out the ones you mentioned, have not heard of them. I tried reading the fics.  that  have been published and I just can't get into them. I just keep seeing E &B.
I'm on a Kristen Ashley kick right now, thanks to Booked and KA is pretty awesome.

Regarding the picture that is supposedly of Rob and Michael Fassbender - it isn't - its actually Michael Fassbender and Benedict Cumberbatch.   I was just on Zap2it and they have the same picture with the following title:

'Sherlock's' Benedict Cumberbatch and Michael Fassbender dance after Golden Globes

I believe the photo was identified at the beginning as Benedict and Michael.

So, I liked Holding On and Letting Go by Jenny0719 so much that I decided to give another of her fics a try and read Defying Gravity. It's your usual story: girl meets boy, falls in love, certain things happen to keep boy and girl apart, girl gets her happily ever after, but there was something about it that really made me like it. That is to say, I liked this B&E enough that I decided to read the sequel, Between the Sun and the Moon, which I thought was merely okay. The author seemed to have lost her steam somewhere during the fic and it turned out to be more of a really, really long epilogue. I still liked it enough to read the whole thing, But I'd stick to rec'ing only the the first part, Defying Gravity. I rec it because I liked it despite those usual elements that make one want to flounce--like instalove and a typical storyline. It's written well with well developed characters and had me hooked.

I have read this and the sequel and I enjoyed both, but I liked the first one better.

Hi!  :)

May anyone recommend stories where the characters (Bella/Edward or other canon pairing) are ex and with happy end?

I have this on my TBR list since forever, but I keep avoiding. Too many similar stories out there.
Sorry but you are not allowed to view spoiler contents.
As for the sequel, sometimes authors simply can't give up the characters or the readers press for more. Maybe she should have done a set of Outtakes or something like that. Personally, if the ending leaves me satisfied, I never read the sequel.

The first (and probably the best) I can instantly recommend you is You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login.

Critics hailed Edward Cullen's novels as "masterful" and "brimstone beauty"-a genius of his generation. To Bella Swan, he was simply the complex man who broke her heart for his career in New York. How does one forget her first love and the new woman on his arm? With whitewater rafting. Skydiving. Surfing. A bit of mischief and sweet, sweet revenge.

Great storyline, but it was a little bit too long for my taste. (Anything with more than 20 chapters is long for me though :P )

P.S. Sorry for all these confusion with that pic I posted, but honestly, I drooled for one hour straight after seeing the pic.

With such a typical plot line, I'm surprised by how much I liked it. It was quite good though--well written. I enjoyed the sequel, which is unnecessary as the first ends in a good place. It was good also, but not nearly as good as the first. The second has a less coherent plot. I really liked this B&E throughout both though and can imagine the readers pressed the author for more. It might have been better if she had condensed the second book, Between the Sun and the Moon.

I have finally given up on my old laptop and bought a reasonably smexy touchscreen HP Pilion which I am working my way around.  Not crazy about windows 8.1 yet.  Point is I did a laptop to laptop transfer, all my folders have been moved including my calibre libraries.  I had to re install Calibre onto my new laptop and cannot workout how to attach the folders to the new calibre.  Can someone please help me before I cry.  :'(

in the books icon you want to use that top one that says something like create new library. It will give you the option to browse to a location. Find your library - the main folder - then check use already existing library and add. Viola! Library is there.

have you tried quick switch library? If it exists, it will be there.

Every time I have to reload Calibre, I always have to find the libraries again.

I'm at a work site today, so I don't have my computer around to look at actual menu item names :(
If you haven't got it working by tonight, I'll get on & make some directions. ;)

I finally did it, thank you so much.  I had to transfer the transferred folders to my documents folder than use previously existing library selection. Phew.  The very, very bad news is I have lost my fanfiction library.  Hubs is going back to my old laptop to make me a copy of the folder.  I hate having to change computers.  :(    Thank you so much for your help.  :-* :-* :-*

:(  Sorry to hear that.  I do have a lot in my Google drive. With the metadata.  So if you add it to your Google drive & sync to your computer? You can add them all to your library. The library itself is bad. Which means Google changed the file names. But I was able to recreate the library from the Google drive once. I think all but 4 stories worked. And those downloaded just not the metadata. ;)
