In the custom columns tab, that's where you uncheck update if new only for that column. I also have it unchecked for things like last update date. Columns you want the info to change on. 

Otherwise, you want the option on the first tab checked as update only if new chapters. It in the ffdl config section. Let me know if this doesn't make sense. I'll get on the computer & do screen shots.

Oooh sweetheart, if you could do screen shots that would be amazing. I feel like such a techno-tard when it comes to Calibre and ffdl.

I've noticed that before too, that the "in-progress" doesn't change to "complete" when you've only been updating them as you go, rather than download it when it is actually complete. I tend to check out each update I do now since some authors have been so kind (insert sarcasm) to write an A/N for an update and then go and delete their story shortly afterwards, I'm in fear that one day I'll update one of those and it'll take out what I had saved. So each email update I get I go in and check the link and make sure the story is all good, then I update it in Calibre. And while I was checking the link and story I look to see if it had completed... if it had then I manually mark it then as completed too.

For stories I know have been pulled, in the tags section of Calibre I just remove the "in-progress" tag and put in "pulled" or "abandoned" etc so that when I pull up my "in-progress" list they no longer show there.

I too have the same problem (or used to) of starting a WIP only to forget I was reading it and find it later on thinking, wow, that looks really familiar.  LOL

I like the idea of putting in pulled or abandoned, I think I will steal it.

The tab to set update always for certain columns - these will only update if the story updates even though they are set to update always.

I read books 1-5 and really liked them...  somehow I got side tracked and didn't go back to finish the series. It's such a big commitment!   I was shocked by that part too!

I know there are others, but this a short 4 chapter cowboy Edward.

Soooo, Edward's Eternal just started a new Actorward fic where Edward is an adorkable Brit. So cute. I'm in love already. Bella is his housekeeper and friend. She was (is still?) married to James who ran off with everything. So she went to work for Edward.

Edward is written how you might picture Rob to be like. For you WIP-phobes, EE is usually good with updates
