Just finished Elemental by TallulahBelle and I thought it was pretty good.  It's different.  Supernatural, but no werewolves, shapeshifters or vampires mentioned.

You know that saying 'wash my brain out with bleach' when you see/hear something you wish you hadn't? Well I washed yesterday's fic blah away with Rochelle Allison's Curtains. Now this is story telling. Not sure how I missed it as I thought I'd read everything of hers apart from Stolen but I glad to be wrong about this. The Cullen and the Swan family experience a devastating loss and the story tells of Edward and Bella's very different coping mechanisms. There is no fluff here, it is poignant and honest and well crafted; very word is a precise dart and nothing is wasted on irrelevant ramblings. The kind of story where you sit with a lump in your throat while you hold your breath at every page turn. If I had any complaint it'll be that it was no where as long as I'd wish. If you haven't read it, move it on up!

I'm usually not that big into olderwards, but I love Silverblossom Jordan's. I don't know. It's something with her style that I think is just awesome and makes it work. All of her fics cover pretty much everything you want. A few of them are Bella cheats and Edward gets possessive/claiming revenge, but most aren't. I will say that Mountain Man's ending is a little too intense for me, but that's just a matter of opinion. I love everything else of hers.

Robshandmonkey wrote a story, I think titles Quiet Ones. Bella is a professional pole dancer and is really into horses. She goes into Edward's tat shop one day, and the rest-as they say- is history. That's a sweet-/tatward. I'm not sure about the older.

Favorite sportsward--hands down--is First and Ten by Nolebucgrl. Slapshot by prettykittyartist is a great, funny hockeyward.

From the recs above, I've heard great things about Suddenly by Lyricalkris and have that high up on my TBR list!  Same goes for First & Ten.  I really need to read that one!

I'm starting on the classics and I do like the Misapprehension of Bella Swan by hunterhunting for a sportsward story.

This is one of the "classics" that I haven't read yet...   I've only read around 40 fics so far, I guess I should get to this one soon!   Three classics that jump right out at me as my favorites are Wide Awake (minus the epilogue), Friadys at Noon and Words with Friends!

Is Silverblossom Jordan the same as Silverblossoms? And is the story you're recommending called I Don't Know? (Can't seem to find it in the index) It's been a crazy day and I think I'm more out of it than normal..
