Requests for stories are properly posted on the 152 thread - I know you posted there first.  The request for recommendations is properly posted here.  We found it was a little easier to do it that way for tracking purposes.  At least it helps Ficfangirl in updating the lovely Index of stories she created.

So, any Savanablue stories anyone has should be posted over there.  And? Unfortunately, I don't have any of them.  I normally pull complete stuff only.  At least, before when she was posting. And I don't think she had any complete stuff. 

I don't know of any sick Actorward stories.  And you have all the other ones I do know.  Hopefully someone can rec something else.

I've read the Brokenward stories like Wide Awake and Loner.  Both were good stories where Edward has more mental issues.  I don't know if that is something you are interested in...

There are a list of Brokenward here - you can see if any of these look good.  I've had very good luck with rec's from the Twibrary as far as being good stories.  Though I don't know if I would rec the Tufano story only because her writing can be annoying after a while.

Has Flagfic downloader died for good?
Is there now any other fiction downloader what can download
from Fictionpad? Other than Calibre/FanFiction Downloader combination?

I have not still “master”  myself use that Calibre, I have not time to
do that.  Still downloading stories, I am so much behind you all
downloading those stories safe. Because I found those fanfiction
downloader’s end of September.
I have download about 6000 to 7000 ( or 8000 ) stories safe  . Right now I am
page 403/ 2394  (Updated: Oct 28, 2012 ) Bella&Edward stories.

Would be nice if Fictionpad add they page possibility to download those
fanfictions, same way like Archive of Our Own have??

In April will be 3 years when I read my first Twilight fanfiction.
Yeah! I know,   I start to read these Twilight fanfictions very late.
Or any other fanfiction. Vampire Diaries spring 2010 and same
year summer True Blood fanfiction.
So there is still many fanfictions what I have not read yet, and
there is so many fanfictions what can not read because they are
bulled by writer or fiction “police”.

Ok so... I need help. I'm half way to computer stupid, and I'm pretty sure I've messed it up already. I've never downloaded my own fanfics off the web (except for the ones I got off here, or course... already formatted or what-have-you). I downloaded the fanfiction downloader that I found in the programs link. Ficfangirl said to use a calibre plug-in, but I'm totally confused on what exactly it is I need to do to even get started. No offense to her, I think she rocks and needs a throne and a big plaque put up somewhere, but I really just don't get where to start. There seriously needs to be a fanfic downloading for dummies made--and if there is one, I need it.

Can someone help me? I need like step by step instructions that two year olds find insulting. Please!!!

Hun, go to the first post on this page.  There you will find a link to instructions for Calibre.  Take a look at that and then come back if you still have questions.  If I can do it, trust me, you can do it.

I think I may be making this more complicated than it needs to be. All I want to do is to take the story from fanfiction and download a copy to my laptop. Do I need calibre for that? Cause it seems to be that calibre is just a way to take the documents you make and put them on a device and that isn't what I need.

Or is calibre needed to get stories off TWCS?

Also, I tried converting the word doc for Pears using calibre, but it told me it couldn't do it. Is there something specific that needs to be done, other than selecting the doc and hitting convert file?

 

Calibre is a multi-purpose program.  It's an organizational tool for your library.  You can use it to convert documents from one type to another.  With the fanfictiondownloader add-on, you can grab stories from ffn, TWCS and Twilighted (and maybe other sites, but I haven't tried it on others).  I can't give you advice on conversion because I haven't used it enough for that.

You don't need to use calibre to download from TWCS.  TWCS has a built-in function (as does AO3).  When you go to a specific story there are coffee cups after the title, next to that there is a print icon.  Click on it.  When my print options come up, I can use microsoft document writer or nitro pdf writer to create a copy that I can save on my computer. 

So I've just finished reading Giofógach by ltlerthqak. Not sure why...I read the summary, the word 'gypsy' jumped out at me, I remembered Goldenmeadow's fabulosity and the rest, as they say, is mediocre. Honestly. This is a nothing story, it's as if the author forgot that fiction should have some sort of plot. It's all fíorghrá,(true love in Gallic, apparently) this and a stór (my darling) that. All the usual suspects are Irish (descendent) travellers and part of a carnival, most of them have special gifts, precogs, empaths, what have you, (Bella's is smell...Errr? Yeah, very useful...) And this tale goes on for ages with absolutely nothing happening; B&E meet and Bella then does nothing but sniff at Edward and acts mentally challenged for about 3/4 of the fic. At some point, maybe a hardworking beta must have kicked the author in the arse and reminded her that she was meant to be telling a 'story' and so we get a convoluted mystery/suspense type scenario which feels kinda rushed and not very authentic where she rounds up all the baddies ( Marcus, Jane, Alex, Chelsea etc) makes them Irish too (I think...) and throws them in as an opposing gang (oh! Apart from James, he walks on the light side this fic around) who target Edward. Just, ya know, we all have ton's of fics on our TBR list; this one? Yeah, keep it down the bottom, no need to rush, if you know what I mean...
