I'm of the non-defective woman variety - which makes a nice change for me - and loved the Rock Chick series. It was fun and silly and exactly what I needed over the summer. It'll never win any awards but I really enjoyed it.

I've returned to fic lately and have been reading quite a few one shots, because I wasn't able to concentrate on anything much longer. In the last few weeks, I have been reading some longer stories again, by Aussie authors, Miss Winkles and Magtwi78. I've really enjoyed them.

I haven't downloaded any fic since October! That used to be a weekly task for me. Can you guess how I'll be spending my two week Autumn/Easter break in four weeks?

I feel guilty for going on here and yet haven't read a twific in quite a while    haven't downloaded one in a month. Though i still keep up with the WIP "How to live with a moviestar" which sadly is not meeting my expectations  This is a story better read in one go. The thing is, i can't comment bec how can you tell an author who obviously works hard that "it seems to be lacking something. Am no longer "connecting" with the characters". I can't give a constructive criticism as my comment is based on my feeling (i won't make a good editor  ) But i can say though, excellent spelling! Great job Ella! Still, it's an actorward so i will continue to read it until the end.

Welcome!  Glad you are enjoying our craziness. We do have a lot of fun here.  

Yep, even if atleast 70% of it goes over my head.

Just a head's up if anyone cares.  The FFDL plug in for Calibre seems to work with Fiction Pad again.  A couple days ago I tred to download a fic from Fiction Pad and it didn't work, but the latest revision seems to have remedied whatever the problem was.

I have problems pulling more than a single story from fictionpad at a time. You can't use the grab all URLs from page with it. So I don't pull much from it. 

But they are a new site and still working out the kinks.

Honestly, I've never done a mass pull with FFDL.  I only did that with Storymaster and that was a while ago.

I pull daily completed fics and by author. The last will sometimes give me way more than I want though. But usually if I like an author's stuff, I figure I will like most of the stories they like.

I'm sorry I haven't been around. You might remember that I hit a pit of a rocky patch at the end of last year. Well, that rocky patch turned into boulders and then there was a landslide followed by an earthquake.

I'm doing much better now though, and am trying to get my life back to normal - and a big part of that is coming back here to chat with all of you lovely ladies.

I've missed you all so much, and I really appreciated the sweet messages of support I got from those of you who emailed or DMed. It really meant so much to me, so thank you. 

I'm going to apologise in advance if I ask questions but I just can't face going back and reading everything from the last few months. It's great to see Booked is keeping moral high with pictures of our boy looking very dapper, albeit cold and a little weary.

Well, it's well and truly past my Sunday night bedtime, but I just couldn't stay away for another day. I hope you've all been keeping safe and well and am looking forward to finding out what you've all been up to.

Can someone please tell me why I have lost the key to my mind and started reading a WIP which has not been updated since March 2013 and is brilliantly written and makes me nervous and that I will not be able to get out of my mind! Fuckinsti!
