I did say I wasn't sure I would rec this.  It is almost like a bunch of one-shots thrown together for a story.  Or a few short stories where a couple of stories run through a few chapters. There are also some SPAG errors.

There's also some short stories and one shots that are referred to in the story.  I actually stopped and read one because they kept referring to it - where they guys go to Vegas.  But it doesn't really make sense unless you read it after the chapters where it fits.  If that makes any sense.   Someone over on the Vampward Lovers Facebook really loved her stuff (My-Bella) so I gave it a go.  Just good enough to keep going but I want to shake Bella.  She acts like a little child sometimes.  Not a whiny brat child but a scared of her shadow wimpy kid. She's a vamp.  And there are some weird things that seem sort of stupid.

Bella starts out quiet but soon absorbs Edward's confidence.  Bella has some interesting powers she didn't know she had until she meets Edward.  Edward is badass.  I really like him.  Take no prisoners.  And he can't be killed. So he has no fear.  It's interesting. Trying to remember if there were SPaG errors.  Probably.  But it didn't matter.   

It was really good.  I'll probably reread it and think "What the heck was I thinking when I said this was great?" That happens a lot to me..... 

I started reading cup of duty just to give myself a break from FD&KK. It's surprisingly good. I love Edward's character in this one. Bit of a typical, bumbling, screw it all and go with the flow guy. I gotta laugh at him.

I read the Vampire Bella Trilogy by My-Bella.... god, years ago. Those were some of the first Twilight fics I started reading. They really weren't that bad. A different thing to get used to, but I kinda liked how she took SM's twisted and kinda dorky version of vampires and made it her own a bit. And I like the power she gave Bella (since it was written before BD).

She wrote another one, AH/AU. Bella and Emmett were brother and sister and lost their parents. I think Em taught or coach football at a local school. Bella was a musician I think. Anyways... she came home from school, met the gang, fell in love with Edward, got married...... yadda yadda yad. Normal meet, fall in love, live happily ever after. She wrote a sequal for that one too, but I never finished it. My-Bella's writing is good, and not grade schoolish, but it is reeeeaaaalllllly long. Long chapters, long stories. They're ones you need to read on a rainy day, snow-bound school day, or hours long car ride stories.

So I have a soft spot for fics where Bella or Edward are blind/deaf/mute/autistic/disabled/etc. Does anyone have any good suggestions?

Yes, My-Bella's writing isn't bad. I just think canon Bella had a bit more backbone, I guess.  Though she is improving.

Though they do go site-seeing rather than sightseeing. I guess it works. Central Park is a site one goes to see LOL!

I've been stuck in Vampward mode lately, and they are always a mixed bag.  My current read I won't rec unless you love Vampward. Bella is a little too sweet and innocent for me. Edward is sweet, but a normal 17 year old. Knows it all, yet doesn't have a clue. 

I love a bit of vampward.  What are you reading?

It's treble yuk with a large WTF attached.

I'm stuck.  I've been reading Clipped Wings and Inked Armor FOREVER (at least that's what it feels like).  Of course, it's so repetitive, that I run off and read a Kristen Ashley book or two to get away from it, which means it takes even LONGER to get through it.  I loved The Misapprehension of Bella Swan, but CW&IA is just so, so, so...meh!  I can't really recommend it unless you really like a whiney Edward and (really whiney) Bella who unrealistically expect the other person to magically fix all their issues, while clinging tenaciously to the belief that they are unlovable and worthless (oh, and that fabulous sex will cure everything, but steadfastly refuse to discuss any real issues with anyone).  If that's your gig, then you should love this story. 

I'm 3/5ths of the way through.  It's taken me months to get this far and all I really want to do is go back and read The Misapprehension of Bella Swan to wash the memory of this clusterfck out of my head. 

Sorry to those who LOVE CW&IA.  Feel free to ignore me or tell everyone what you loved about the story.

I've often wondered about those two stories. I keep putting off reading them.  I did finally pick up Cannabean Betrothal yesterday though and I'm at about chapter 13? I think. Pretty good. Better than I expected (I didn't expect much at all if I'm being honest). But, it does bother me quite a bit that Edward & Charlie feel that less info to Bella is better. I'd be pissed at being in the dark so much.
