Whoop! Whoop! TOH still my favourite FBI fic but I'll give Camisado a go....anyone die in that?  OK, I'm going to stop; I think I'm so tired I'm punch drunk, which is crap, really, because what's the fun in that...

You can't have apocalypse without some character death..anyone know?  I'm kinda into a bit of death at the moment, I don't mind if it's E or B as long as one of them bites it! Even as I write this I can imagine the shutters that's going through most of you ladies

Thanks for this rec! It was so great, I really enjoyed it.  I had a real hard time putting it down.   

I guess I should go back to Touching Solitude now....  It is a slow moving story.  Good, but a little slow.  I'm enjoying it, but thinking it should be done by now.  There just isn't a lot of excitement to make the slow movement forward good.   

I had the same problem with Touching Solitude after the first half--too much literary realism for my taste. In the end, though, I liked the fic overall. I like how she kept the story mostly cannon except dropped them into the early twentieth century. It seemed a more fitting setting for the characters.

No really, I don't mind character death as long as it isn't E or B, unless they die together.  Then it's sort of an HEA.  But other characters? Yeah, they can bite it. CaraNo had an outtake to Bloody Kisses a couple days ago. So great.  I loved that story.  And I think most of the characters died in it.

I have these...not started them, are they very long?....

No, they're quite short. There's no way I would have been able to read it as the parts came out. So far, it's like reading one book of 12 long chapters.

What a messed up story... (messed up in a good - read it! way)

Ok, I hated that Edward at first, I was even team Jacob for a while here, but it is ExB HEA and in a good, believable way. I thought Bella was annoying, but admired her in the end.

Read it, stay with it, tell me what you think.

Hmmm....I don't think either die in the couple that I've read so far. At least they don't in Rekindled Ashes or Exposed
But I'm on the same page as you, I never mind character death. As long as the fic isn't mislabeled (I read one once that said Suspense/Humor when in reality it was Horror/Tragedy. I see Humor and I'm looking for funny bits. Not a gory death...though I don't mind that and actually seek it out sometimes (weird, I know but I love the heartache)

Now, it's been some time since I've read this one and I hope it's as decent/good as I remember but this fic is a favorite for the heartache:

Edward is deeply embedded into the mob for years and completely deserted by the FBI.  Bella joins and makes it her mission to go in and get him out. He has no idea she is coming. She won't take no for an answer.

 I read it as a wip yrs ago. I thought it was good. I fear the sequel is abandoned. It's been almost 2 yrs and the last I talked with the author she was all bummed because her brother joined the military and she was scared to death. She was from London and dropped off the planet 2 years ago. Twitter, everywhere really and I miss her. 2 years later still no updates. It will be fine to stop at the first book and back in the day, I enjoyed it. I don't remember if there was SPAG,  I do good to remember the plot after many fics later.

You think that is bad, I have just started and stopped reading a fic in which Edward has just meet Bella and given her a mighty spanking :-

""What am I Bella?" Crouching in front of me inches from my face.

"My mate my lover" I said softly, still crying.

"What else?" he demanded.

"My vampire daddy, very soon" He held my face now so I had to look in his eyes.

"Yes, what does that mean?"

"You are my alpha, and I am you baby girl"

"Correct, what did daddy tell you about us?"

"That I was to be good, and you would give me lots of nice things, and we would do lots of wonderful things, travel, be lovers, and married too" I hope this was what he wanted me to say.

"And" he asked very sternly."

"You would be spanking my bottom, for as long we existed, if I was naughty"

"Have I been?" Still holding my face but gently now.

"Yes" a slap to my bottom, "Yes daddy""

And that wa s one of the better scenes.   

 

This made me laugh.

I'd like to know why there are so many daddykink fics out there.
