I didn't know that, I read what she has in her current profile about what some girl did to her, so sad.

It's just dreadful, isn't it! It amazes me that there are such lovely people in the fandom, and then such horrors as well.

Prior to my participation here, I was only ever a lurker on ff.net, twitter, ADF, etc, because of the way some people treated each other. I even stopped reading a/n's and reviews at one point because I just can't fathom the level of nastiness that goes on.

I understand and actually applaud people when they feel passionately about something, but that is not an excuse to say cruel things to or about someone else.

And don't even get me started about how I feel when they bring family into it! 

I am so glad that we don't have that here!

Being on holidays, I have been keeping an eye on twitter today. There are some pics of Rob in his truck with a "mystery redhead". This poor girl has been called every name under the sun, because she happens to be in a car with a mate when he went and bought a ping ping table! I don't know who she is, or what her relationship to the Pretty, but really? Even if they go home and make mad, passionate love on said ping pong table, does that warrant really nasty name calling and threats?

Well, after reading the Dark Duet series (captive/seduced in the dark) I am in MUCH need of something lighter (like LiMB)! LOL  I couldn't turn away from these books, but wow what a disturbing topic!  I'm read the 3rd book (Epilogue) now but need to start planning my happy reading!  ;-)

You guys have been so great at helping me pic awesome fics!  This is my short TBR list.  I'm going to go back and look up all the summaries to find out which ones are happy-happy-romantic! LOL  And this time when I look up the summaries I'm going to copy paste it into my list so I don't have to do it every time I need a new fic!    WIth my list of <100 fics I thought I'd always be able to keep up with the names, but it's overwhelming.

Just realized I think only one of these is an athlete-ward...  I've never read one of those, so maybe that should be next?

The Misapprehension is really funny as well. But I would agree with Booked.  Nolebucgrl is great for light and humorous stories.  The other writer I usually rec for light & humorous is CaraNo. She has some great funny stories.

Which 2 are in your top 10?   Sideline collison and which other?      I do love hockey, so tMAoBS is tempting!  I just realized that Nolebucgrl also wrote Words with Friends!   I loved that one (top 10 for me) so will definitely have to read more of hers.   I think I have First & Ten on my kindle too.    Now I'm curious how she can write two footballwards without the stories being too similar.  I have confidence that she did a great job!

I just can't seem to get into it and the writing is coming across as slightly immature.  It may just be that I'm not in the mood for it at the moment but, I would like to know if it is worth the read.

Tropic of Virgo wasn't super angsty for me. But there is angst.   It was a really good story though.  And I wouldn't call it fluff. It is probably in my Top 10

F&T is pro football, so they are older.  I really loved this one. Renee is so funny in it. And I don't think there was much angst at all. But a great story. SC is college.  There is some angsty stuff.  [/spoiler][/spoiler]  It is an HEA.  And if nothing else? You will LOVE Rainbow.

And MoBS is pretty much full of lemons [/spoiler]

I finished A Long Time Coming by IThinkINeededThat today. A sweet twist on Twilight with lots of Jaspertime (yay!), but it stays canon... 

But I started some fics I just couldn't finish. I don't flounce, but I wait for finishing them until I have nothing better to read... (so, flouncing it is, right?)

It is a good story, but I just didn't like Bella and Edward that much...

Yeah, such a nice idae, but just too weird for me...

Now I'M reading In Living Color by Kim Ginsberg. I'm in chapter 5 and it's very obvious what the rest of the plot wll be like... but I just pretend it's a parody, then it's really amusing, lol 

I rarely flounce...I just get distracted by another story and forget to go back to the bad one I was reading.....

And? Sometimes I am not in the mood for a story.  I can see it is good, but I just don't want to read that type of story, or I'm not in the mood for the characters, or something like that.

I'm reading Hitched right now and it is so badly written.  But I kind of like the characters and the story line, so..... I keep reading.  In between cleaning house.  Because that is what I do when I take a vacation....
