Hi guys, so, I have some free time to read some fanfics again and I was wondering if you guys can rec some angsty fics for me. I'm used to love those fics where something happens to Edward. It's weird. But, if you guys know really good, angsty fics like that, let me know.
Thanks.

(BTW, if this goes in another thread just let me know and I'll delete it. I haven't been around in a long time... :()

When you say "something happens to Edward" do you mean you're looking for fics without a HEA?

It doesn't exactly matter if they're HEA or not. I've read some interesting stories without a HEA.
But, for example, I just read a story called "If This is Fate" by earthprincess4 where
Sorry but you are not allowed to view spoiler contents.

I really hope that she doesn't decide to finally release it and then decide there's another book or two to be released after this one like she did last time.  :pulling :pulling

Here I was thinking you had a secret camera in every room of Rob's house so you could spy on him and then let us all know what happens when he's at home.  :P :P  >:D >:D

If anyone missed it, counselor already pulled Deep in the Heart of Me.  You can find it in the files if you were/are interested in reading it.

Ella,  these days I usually glance through updates but given that hers only had 2 chapters when I knew the story was super long was fishy, so I checked it out.  And like you said, I'm sure it will surprise many readers.  I personally have difficulty with her writing style as it just doesn't connect with me.
Yeah, I probably won't read it either.  I find her writing kind of depressing.  Reminds me of books we had to read for English classes.

Turns out I did get it before she took it down. I was looking at the wrong Calibre directory.

I may have a few too many Calibre libraries.   :D :D :D :D

Did you like the movie? I saw the preview and it did look really good but I tend to steer clear of Nicholas Sparks because of all the sad stuff.   Scott Eastwood has me wanting to see this one though...

I'm rereading Sempre by Darhower and I totally forgot how awesome this book is!    It's even better this time because the published version doesn't have the fade to black in several places.     I haven't read Emancipation Proclamation so I don't know what happens after
Sorry but you are not allowed to view spoiler contents.
.   I think EP continues on past that point, right?   As soon as I finish this first book I'm going to read Sempre Redemption so I can finally know the whole story.

Have any of you read the prequel called Made?  It's about Corrado I think.

It's actually longer that Sempre and seems like people really like it.   I'm wondering if I should read it or not.

It carries on after that point in EP as there's a NM moment, I wanted to kill Edward/Carmine at this point

I've been meaning to read Made as I bought it ages ago but still not got around to it, I hear it's worth a read and really good for a (kind of) spin-off book.  :)

Haha well, that may or may not be a good thing.  I know mine needs to be reorganized.  I find her writing dry, and it conjures up the worst books that I had to read for English (Grapes of Wrath, Things Fall Apart, etc...)

Talking about Scott Eastwood, I'm catching up on the past week or so of Jimmy Fallon and Scott was on there. God, that dude seems to get hotter every time I see him and he's so funny.  :)

Yes! John Steinbeck. I was blanking on his name. But she writes the same. It is likely he is her favorite author. :P

  • Hi! I'm Ellachanted and I'm a fanfic-oholic.
I bought Sempre when it was on sale. Still haven't read it.

So I don't think I've accidentally called my husband another name. ...but purposefully?  Yeah.  When we got married, the priest couldn't read his own writing and I almost married another man. Fortunately, by the time he got to the vows, the best man whispered the right name.

It was rather hilarious and I almost wish he hadn't corrected him LOL!   :D :D :D :D

You know, when I think of it?  Has Rob ever done a movie where he had loud sex?  He comes across as the quiet type.  ??? :NeenerNeener: :D

Now I understand why I couldn't make myself read her stuff, in school Steinbeck's books were the only ones I could never get through - I can't stand his writing style.

Some people love his books, not me.  :P

Ella :  Re: Rob and loud sex - I can't answer regarding Cosmopolis although I own it and just haven't had a chance to watch it - and come to think of it - I'm not sure where it is exactly at the moment.  I'm waiting for Maps to the Stars to come out on DVD to see the scene with him and Juliannne Moore in the back seat before I can honestly answer that.

I haven't actually seen that many of his movies. Twilight, of course, and Remember Me.  But also I saw Bel Ami on a movie channel. And that might be it.

Oh and The Goblet of Fire and How to Be. But I don't remember sex scenes in either of those.  I did see the self-sex scene in shoot,  I'm blanking. Dali? Spanish Artist one. It was on YouTube. He was very quiet in that AND it supposedly was real.  >:D

Yeah had to watch after that LOL!  :D :D :D :D

The Dali one is Little Ashes.   How To Be had nothing (and that was an odd movie - not helped by the fact that I couldn't understand half the British English - had the same problem with The Bad Mother's Handbook - I felt like I needed a translation underneath - I'd have gone back and watched both of them but I recorded them off The Sundance Channel and my vcr is broken) - neither did Harry Potter - Cedric Diggory - parents letting their kids watch? nice try Ella.   I've seen the edited version of The Haunted Airman - I really really need to get the DVD and see what was cut .  Anyone seen The Summerhouse?
