As far as I know Marie only writes straight fiction - a number of members of InDeath.net read her as a favorite author.   Members have been discovering her and recommending her to other members.   I haven't yet succumbed.  I've got enough reading to get through as it is.

I don't usually dream about celebrities (at least, not at night when I'm asleep), but last night I dreamed I met RP in a grocery store and had a normal conversation with him.  In my dream, I even thought, "Wait til the tell the girls on PTS about this."  Unfortunately, I woke up and was disappointed that it was just a dream.
Been there, done that - always sucks when you wake up realise it was just a dream.  :( ;D
But out of curiosity what did Rob buy at the store?  ^-^ ;D

Loopy, what the hell is your man doing to Spiderman?

If he needs to put that tongue somewhere I'm sure there are millions of takers out there.
Something I want him to do to me!!!  :P :P
Well the millions will have to wait as I'm at the front of that line!!

M.S. Force as in Marie Force - or another person altogether?
It's the same person just her pen-name for her more adult books.  :)

  • Hi! I'm Ellachanted and I'm a fanfic-oholic.
The only Actorward with BDSM that I know of is justginger's People Like Us. This sounds different.

Though I haven't actually read it. Or either.  Not really into BDSM.  MoTU was the closest I've ever gotten. And I wouldn't call it BDSM, as Bella says no.    :P :D :D

There is now one more challenge for the Rob/twigs relationship - he has one more commitment to his time - added to the filming of Brimstone and the promoting of Queen of the Desert in September, he will now also be promoting Life which now has a US distributor.  From Robsessed:

Full Press Release:

CINEDIGM ACQUIRES ALL U.S. RIGHTS TO WORLD RENOWNED PHOTOGRAPHER AND FILMMAKER ANTON CORBIJN’S “LIFE,” ELEGANT STUDY OF COMPLEX BOND BETWEEN PHOTOGRAPHER AND LEGENDARY STAR-IN-THE-MAKING JAMES DEAN.

Dane DeHaan, Robert Pattinson and Ben Kingsley Offer Voyeuristic Glimpse Into Life of Hollywood Icon

Following a critically praised premiere at the Berlin Film Festival, Cinedigm (NASDAQ: CIDM) has acquired all U.S. distribution rights to Anton Corbijn’s LIFE, starring Dane DeHaan (Life After Beth; Kill Your Darlings; Place Beyond The Pines), Robert Pattinson (Twilight, Cosmopolis, Maps To The Stars), and Ben Kingsley (Gandhi, Sexy Beast, Schindler’s List ). The film was produced by Iain Canning’s See-Saw Films (King’s Speech, Slow West), and is the second project in an ongoing collaboration between Corbijn and Canning, following their work together on Control. The script was written by Luke Davies (Candy, Lion).

Corbijn’s follow-up to A Most Wanted Man, LIFE captures the nuances and complexities of the relationship between photographer and subject in a way rarely seen or understood by someone outside the business. In a nod to Corbijn’s own past experience, the film is told from the perspective of the Life photographer Dennis Stock (played by Pattinson) who meets and profiles Dean (DeHaan) for the magazine, turning out some of Dean’s most iconic photographs.

LIFE will open with a theatrical, digital and television VOD release beginning in Fall 2015.

“Life gorgeously chronicles the back story behind the 1955 photo spread that brought moody young heartthrobJames Dean to the attention of the American public seven months before his death-,” said Yolanda Macias, Cinedigm’s Executive Vice President of Acquisitions. “Beautiful to look at, powerful to experience, Life, using an Eisenhower-era America as prism, brilliantly presages America’s coming celebrity culture.”

The following just appeared on my internet home page.  The new Fifty Shades is based on an outtake from when it was Master Of the Universe.

New 'Fifty Shades' book isn't Grey's first time as narrator

By LEANNE ITALIE  -  The Associated Press

NEW YORK (AP) — The new EL James book "Grey" shot to the top of Amazon's best-seller list ahead of its June 18 release on the promise it will flip the perspective of her hard-sex "Fifty Shades" story from innocent Anastasia Steele to kinky Christian Grey.

But her hordes of fans may not realize it's not the first time James has explored her massively popular trilogy from Christian's point of view.

The new book, due out on Christian's birthday, began like the previous three novels, as "Twilight" fan fiction using Stephenie Meyer's original characters, hot vampire Edward Cullen and clumsy innocent Isabella Swan. James wrote about 50 pages as an "outtake" from Edward's point of view for a fundraiser that benefited a charity in 2010 as she toiled in the FanFiction.net "Twilight" community of writers under the pen name Snowqueens Icedragon.

"Some material in the book is drawn from that previous work," acknowledged Paul Bogaards, a spokesman for the Knopf Doubleday Publishing Group that includes the "Fifty Shades" trilogy's imprint, Vintage Books.

The new book, "Grey: Fifty Shades of Grey as Told by Christian," was announced Monday and comes, James said, in response to numerous fan requests that she tell his side of the story. It's what she reportedly said back in 2010, when she first wrote from Edward's point of view to help raise money to fight childhood cancer with other fan fiction writers for the nonprofit Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation.

The so-called "EPOV" pages were auctioned off and distributed to donors.

Switching perspectives is common among some fan fiction writers, who take on a variety of genres and styles while honoring their favorite books, TV shows, movies and other entertainments.

Readers who made it to the end of the third book in the trilogy, "Fifty Shades Freed," already know that she had teased a chapter written from Christian's point of view, included at the back of the book. That chapter covers Christian's infatuation with the virginal Ana through their first meeting — and his stalky encounter with her at the hardware store where she works to pick up some tape, rope and cable ties.

James' "EPOV" fan fiction for the charity follows a devastated Edward after he introduces Bella to his BDSM lifestyle with six hard lashes from a belt in his playroom. She tells him she loves him. He realizes he loves her, too, but she doesn't love the hard-core rough stuff and he insists, "She cannot love a monster," wrote Snowqueens.

It's ground already covered, as the title of the new book suggests. Ana's fleeing of Christian after her belt lashings is how "Fifty Shades of Grey," her first book, and the movie starring Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson, end.

In the auctioned-off work, Edward (later renamed Christian by James) visits his therapist to work out post-traumatic stress brought on by the devastating departure of Bella, complete with flashbacks to his violent upbringing as the son of a crack-addicted prostitute who commits suicide.

The therapist asks him if he has considered a, um, more traditional relationship with his young love interest.

"No, I haven't," he responds.

"Why not?"

"Because it's never occurred to me that I could," he explains.

The flipped fan fic includes plenty of salty language, lovemaking and F-bombs like the three "Fifty" books. After Bella leaves, Edward decides on a campaign to win her back, but "deep down I wish I had the courage of my convictions. Anxiety unfurls in the depths of my gut. This has to work. She's my only hope," Snowqueens wrote.

The two heatedly reunite after he offers her a lift to the opening of a friend's photo exhibit in a scene that has Edward nearly taking Bella on the spot after they abruptly leave. He restrains himself with this admonishment: "No! No! Cullen! Not like a cheap hooker in an alley."

Over a bite of dinner, Bella confesses that she had forgotten her safe words to shut Edward down during the belt lashings, her test to see if his most certainly not-vanilla sex world might be her thing, too.

It's unclear whether "Grey" will extend the "Fifty Shades" story beyond the three published books or cover old ground from the new first-person approach.

Anne Jamison, an associate professor of English at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, said the "EPOV" outtakes of James' original fan fiction, titled "Master of the Universe," made for a strong calling card when she went in search of a publisher, based on its popularity as an auction item.

Jamison delved deeply into fan fiction for a class segment she taught on the topic at the time James produced the charity work. Jamison recently taught an entire class on fan fic as a visiting professor at her alma mater, Princeton, after putting out her own book in 2013, "Fic: Why Fanfiction is Taking Over the World."

Meyer herself flipped first-person perspectives from her Isabella to her Edward in "Midnight Sun," an unfinished companion novel to the "Twilight" series that she had planned when a partial draft leaked on the Internet in 2008. Meyer put the partial work on her website for all to read and never released it as a book.

The leak occurred before James fiddled with perspective to provide Edward's take on her own story for the charity event.

James' "Fifty Shades" trilogy has sold more than 100 million copies worldwide. The first of at least three planned movies was a blockbuster that raked in nearly $570 million worldwide. She has acknowledged the books began as "Twilight" fan fiction before she decamped from FanFiction.net to an Australian publisher, then jumped to Vintage.

"We used to laugh about what she'd do for her next book. Well, obviously she's doing EPOV," Jamison said. "I think she's really canny about giving her core readership what they want."

  • Hi! I'm Ellachanted and I'm a fanfic-oholic.
I wondered about that. I think there were at least 2 outtakes in EPOV. I want to say 3, but I think one might be a future take.

Truthfully, she probably will make enough money from this  to never have to write again.

And today there's this:

Marlon Wayans' Christian Grey will be shady and a bad lover

By LAURI NEFF  -  The Associated Press

NEW YORK (AP) — What do you get when you take one of the year's biggest box office hits — "Fifty Shades of Grey" — and turn it over to funny man Marlon Wayans?

Christian Grey is turning into Christian Black in Wayans' spoof "Fifty Shades of Black," which has been picked up by Open Road Films for release next January.

Wayans, known for writing and starring in cinematic sendups like "White Chicks" and his "Scary Movie" films, says he thought it would be funny to do a comedic take on the erotic film, which is based on the novel of the same name.

"What if Christian Grey was black and he was rich but you kind of know how he got his money, it's kind of shady and he's a really bad lover? I mean it's kind of similar to the movie," Wayans said with a laugh. "They had all these scenes and I was like, a funny version of this and a funny version of that and before you knew it we had a really funny script."

He was interviewed Thursday while promoting the summer competition TV series he's hosting, "I Can Do That," which airs Tuesdays on NBC.

Wayans will star and co-write the "Fifty Shades" spoof with longtime collaborator Rick Alvarez. The film will be directed by Michael Tiddes, who helmed both of Wayans' "Haunted House" movies. He is still working on his female lead but says "Fifty Shades of Black" will likely feature faces that fans have seen in his other films, such as Affion Crockett and Cedrick the Entertainer.

But don't expect any "red room of pain" in the Wayans spoof. He says in his film, the "playroom" will probably be something like "chartreuse or turquoise or some ugly random color."

Yeah, wonder how EL James is taking that.  Although, I do believe copyright law does not cover parody. As in you can do one without infringing on the copyright.  So they may be nothing she can do. :P

Have almost finished snowqueensicedragon's "other" fic - Safe Haven.  Ella, you've probably read it since it's an Actorward.  It's okay.  I can see some similarities to MotU in a couple of scenes.  She drops the f bomb so often, it's irritating and obnoxious - that's even after reading ff for a couple of years and becoming somewhat numb to it in stories.

I also read an early work by Welcome2myworldxoxo called Bad Romance.  Her writing definitely improved over time. DO NOT read Bad Romance.  You'll be sorry if you do.

I started both of those. I did read the end of Safe Haven. Just skimmed through it. I think I found it annoying,  but it's been so long. I might just not have been in the mood for it but there was enough of a mystery attached that I read the last couple chapters.  I've actually been known to read books backwards chapter by chapter LOL!

The other one?  I don't remember much.  A lot of times if the Edward doesn't grab me  (and want to take me home)?  I usually flounce and am off to the next story.

I've been trying to read Sherryola's Seeing Bella. It's in third person, so I feel a little disconnected from it. I realized a while ago that it is harder to read third person narrative because it needs to move faster to suck you in. It also doesn't feel like Twilight. But maybe that's me.  :P

It is funny though because most fiction is written in the third person. And I usually don't mind.   :-\

I finished The Single Game  by AwesomeSauce76. I've decided that I love these first love kind of fics at the beginning but then by the end I'm usually bored.  I guess is the UST I'm  after and then when that's over I lose interest.   Didn't we have a list somewhere with our favorite UST fics?  Lol maybe that should be a new club.

Have you guys read Prick by Sabrina  Paige?  I haven't read a book like this in a while and it's not the greatest literary work ever but it is major hot. Lol. Man do I hate the title though.

I'm sooo boooored! Nothing is catching my attention, not books, not fic, not tv, nothing!

I did read one fic though, Enough by SydneyAlice. It had potential, but it was so rushed! Everything just happened too fast for my taste. I prefer more UST, and then some good sexitimes. I seem to be craving vampward though, so hopefully I'll find something good tonight.
