Thread #7 - We are crazy talkers here! Join in the fun!

ADULT DISCUSSION HERE, SO TRY TO KEEP IT CLEAN! UM NO, WAIT! IF YOU ARE EASILY OFFENDED, LOOK AWAY NOW!

This is the new thread as the other was sooo long and had lots of pages. Continuation of our wonderful discussions on Twilight Fanfiction, Books, and Life in general.  But mostly Twilight fanfics... and life stuff that will get me a NOT ALLOWED statement.

Okay, here is a place to discuss what you are reading, ask for recommendations and complain about the writing.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion, so please play nice

Because we know drypen's watching

Woohooo, lets here it for Mr. Admin for getting PTS back up and running. Lets face it, FB just isn't the same as being on here. Thank you for all of you hard work Mr. Admin.

I agree - thank you mr. admin.  I missed you guys.  I'm on this site several times a day even if its just to read and not necessarily join in the conversation.  I was starting to get serious withdrawal symptoms.  Welcome back PTS!

Someone mentioned further back on the following role for Rob and the speculation of its being a sci-fi film.   Here's more information on it from Robsessed:

MOVIE NEWS: Robert Pattinson Gets A New Co-Star In Claire Denis' 'High Life' + More Info On The Storyline

News today about a new cast member that will star with Rob in the Claire Denis movie High Life & lots of new info about the storyline.

 From Deadline:

Mia Goth is set to star opposite Robert Pattinson in High Life, the English language debut film from director Claire Denis. The film is about a group of criminals who accept a mission in space to become the subjects of a human reproduction experiment. They find themselves in the most unimaginable situation after a storm of cosmic rays hit the ship. Goth recently wrapped Gore Verbinski’s A Cure for Wellness, starring opposite Dane DeHaan. She most recently starred in the Stephen Fingleton-directed The Survivalist, which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival, and previously appeared in Lars Von Trier’s Nymphomaniac: Volume II. She’s repped by WME, Curtis Brown in UK and Storm Artists.

Ditto. One minute we back and then poof gone again.
Why does this keep happening. I fear that one day whomever is doing this is going to be successful and we'll be gone forever.
Missed you guys a lot
Thanks again to all who worked to get us back online

Hello everyone, missed you all. :-*

I realised that when I've no hubby (on a week long stag-do in Greece), kids (away with the in-laws) or PTS to keep me busy I do things like I did on Friday: I went to the hairdressers for a trim, but instead of a trim I had 37" cut off. So now my hair is only shoulder length instead of passed my knees, the hubby's definitely gonna be shocked when he gets home.  :o ;D
Don't worry I donated it to charity so it could be made into wigs.

Hope you're all well and been keeping yourselves busy in PTS' downtime.  ;)

It happened again. I think we were on for maybe a couple of hours......then gone again. I've never seen this happen so frequently...and for so long. This is truly pissing me off!!

Loopy, hubs wil notl recognize you when he gets back.....ooooooh you're in trouble!..lol

37" !!!! wow.  Good for you for donating it.  The most I have donated was 12", but I get tired of my long hair and chop it off to donate pretty much as soon as it is long enough.  Hope the kids recognize you too.

I spent have spent my PTS downtime sewing an Olaf halloween costume so he coordinates with his sister who is of course Elsa

Yehey! Hope we're back for good.

Loopy, didn't realize you had such long hair! You must be feeling tons lighter. Shoulder length still leaves a lot for hubby to hold on to  :)

Gosh i missed you all!

So glad we are back. Loopy, that is a lot of hair!! Did you get headaches from it when it was that long? When I was younger I used to grow my hair out until it was down to the small of my back, and when I cut it back, I noticed a big difference.
While we were off line, my son built me my new computer. It is soooo much faster. I am really enjoying it.

So, what is everyone reading? I am reading Bound to the Family by heartfortwilight. I pulled it off of my TBR list, and realized I had already read this and must have forgotten to move it. Unfortunately I am already into reading it, so I will finish it.

I finished Hydraulic Level 5 yesterday and am almost done with the sequel SkyGods. Was trying to decide what fanfic to read the other day. I saw on GR some of you recently read/reviewed Take the Ice but I couldn't find it on my ipad. I saw this and chose the pubbed version, thinking it would be shorter and easier to read than my pdf fanfic. I thought the ff was 3,000+ pages bec of A/Ns and stuff, that sky gods might be about another character. Boy was i wrong  ;D Still, it was a good read and the pages seem to fly by. Have been homebound since Sunday due to a wound infection on top of my foot and severe allergies. This is why i was specially sad the site was down. On the bright side, i did get to read more books.  :)

I am about to start Commodity by S Savage....not sure about that one. I like her writing but this is scifi/ paranormal...typically not my style.
I suffered horribly with allergies last week. Went to Rosemary beach on vacay and it was really fun except for the last day. Evidently, this time of year spores are released into the air by algae or something and people were coughing...watery eyes...burning nose. It was terrible. I mean this lasted all day and everyone was affected!

Booked so sorry about that infection...hope all gets better soon. I bet you made a good dent in that tbr list.

Have you guys read Starry Eyed Inside by Rochelle Allison?  I'm nearing the end and have really enjoyed it so far...  curious though, should I read the future take?  I got burned with that last epilogue on Wide Awake and every since then I try not to jump blindly into a any extras at the end.    Example, I still to this day haven't read the Dusty futuretake because my dear friend Demaris said she thought it was better without it. :)

What did you think of Hydraulic Level 5?  I know that's on a lot of people's top 10 list and I've always wanted to read it.  Someone told me that it's not very schmexy though so I think I've put it off. haha  I like a good lemon!

Same here!! I had long hair to my butt as well when I was younger.. It was a relief to chop it off, I felt so light!

I'm reading Vampire in the Basement finally... As well as finishing up Eternally Damned (auto text wants to put "Rammed" [emoji23] [emoji23] [emoji23]). Both are great!!!!

Also I have Life & Death started by SM, but have gotten distracted. [emoji6]
