Loopy, hubs will not recognize you when he gets back.....ooooooh you're in trouble!..lol
The hubby came home this morning and to say he was shocked at the amount I had cut off would be an understatement, but that's only cos he's never known me with short hair.

Hi Loopy!!!!!!! [emoji119] [emoji119] [emoji119]

Holy crap... 37"?!?! Dayum!!! That's a lot of hair. I bet your head feels a lot lighter now. [emoji6]

Missed you ladies!! [emoji7]

Yehey! Hope we're back for good.

Loopy, didn't realize you had such long hair! You must be feeling tons lighter. Shoulder length still leaves a lot for hubby to hold on to  :)

Gosh i missed you all!
It's a relief to have it off as it was a nightmare to maintain, I never had time to do anything with it other than put it up in a ponytail or bun.
I'm kind of hoping I've lost a few lbs from chopping it off, it'd be the quickest and easiest way I've ever lost weight.   :P :D
The hubby did say he wanted to try out the new hair and I think he enjoyed it, so I suppose it's all good.  ;)

37" !!!! wow.  Good for you for donating it.  The most I have donated was 12", but I get tired of my long hair and chop it off to donate pretty much as soon as it is long enough.  Hope the kids recognize you too.

I spent have spent my PTS downtime sewing an Olaf halloween costume so he coordinates with his sister who is of course Elsa
I would love to be your kids hun as I love Frozen, probably a bit too much for an adult.  ^-^ ;D

So glad we are back. Loopy, that is a lot of hair!! Did you get headaches from it when it was that long? When I was younger I used to grow my hair out until it was down to the small of my back, and when I cut it back, I noticed a big difference.
While we were off line, my son built me my new computer. It is soooo much faster. I am really enjoying it.

So, what is everyone reading? I am reading Bound to the Family by heartfortwilight. I pulled it off of my TBR list, and realized I had already read this and must have forgotten to move it. Unfortunately I am already into reading it, so I will finish it.
I'd get headaches all the time from it but I was just to lazy to get it cut until now.

Wow!! I bet it's handy having your son around when you have other computer problems.  ;)

I started reading Prince Albert by Sabrina Paige, it's okay but a bit predictable - a good enough read until I can figure out what I'm reading next.
Read quite a bit this past week while PTS was down, but didn't really make a dent in my TBR list though.  :P :P

Same here!! I had long hair to my butt as well when I was younger.. It was a relief to chop it off, I felt so light!

I'm reading Vampire in the Basement finally... As well as finishing up Eternally Damned (auto text wants to put "Rammed" [emoji23] [emoji23] [emoji23]). Both are great!!!!

Also I have Life & Death started by SM, but have gotten distracted. [emoji6]
I totally get that hun, I can actually shake my head now without getting whiplash.  >:D :D

Lol, I think I love your phones perverted auto correct.  ;) ;D

Booked, sorry to hear about your infection in your foot and your allergies. Hope you're feeling better than you were and that you feel 100% real soon.  :) :-*

Eacalltheway, sorry to hear you've been suffering with your allergies hope that you're starting to feel better than you were. At least it was the last day of your vacay you weren't feeling great and not the first I suppose.  :-*

I suffered horribly with allergies last week. Went to Rosemary beach on vacay and it was really fun except for the last day. Evidently, this time of year spores are released into the air by algae or something and people were coughing...watery eyes...burning nose. It was terrible. I mean this lasted all day and everyone was affected!

Booked so sorry about that infection...hope all gets better soon. I bet you made a good dent in that tbr list.

The kids had their first halloween party tonight, and I was happy my little man was willing to wear the costume I made.  My daughter has an Elsa dress, so when we asked her what her little brother should be, of course she picked another frozen character.  I somewhat dressed up as Anna to go with them, just using normal clothes to give the impression of the character (google disneybounding - since disney won't let adults into theme parks in costume).  We have another party on Friday that my husband will be back for, so maybe I can find a burgundy belt to go with his gray shirt and gray pants so he can "be" Kristoff.

What did you think of Hydraulic Level 5?  I know that's on a lot of people's top 10 list and I've always wanted to read it.  Someone told me that it's not very schmexy though so I think I've put it off. haha  I like a good lemon!

I read Hydraulic Level 5 as a WIP (but after most had been posted) and remember I was eager to find out how it finished, but can't remember lemons standing out.

I just finished skygods only to find there's a book 3 arrgh! Will probably read the last part of the twific rather than wait for the pubd book.

Sadly, no lemons here in the pubd version. Very glossed over. Didn't realize this was an angsty one but it's ok. Wouldn't want to read it again but i will remember it for sure.

The hard part was finding something magenta like Anna's cape.  I ended up with a more hot pinkish fleece in kids xl.  Luckily i had a royal blueish skirt that i had started sewing 5 years ago and kinda forgot about, and it was almost done.

Looking at the disneybounding pictures, some characters are  easier than others.

Is Hydraulic Level 5 a cliffhanger where I'd want to read skygods immediately?     and when you said "no lemons" are you referring to HL5 or skygods?   I need my lemons! haha

  • Hi! I'm Ellachanted and I'm a fanfic-oholic.
Yay! We'really back!  I really missed you all!  :-*

Booked/Eacalltheway, sorry you are feeling well. Hope you feel better soon.

Loopy, that is a lot of hair. My current length of about mid back is about how long my hair seems to grow. But I usually can only stand it long for a short time then I cut it into a bob or something similar.  And let it grow out again. LOL! Glad your husband likes it.

Keypad, you should like both Hydraulic Level 5 and Vampire in the Basement. Both are good stories with a lot of angst. Though maybe not enough lemons?  I guess Sky gods is the pubbed version of HL5?  They both have an HEA,  but frankly?  I was pretty annoyed with Edward during much of HL5.

Now, Eternally Rammed sounds like a really great erotica story. But the Damned version is really good too.

I've been reading The Foreign Papers, which is in the index. I think by Javamama with some numbers. I am enjoying it so far.  It is something of a mating connection story.  But Edward and the rest are all a lot older than canon. And you find out pretty soon that all that is left is Alice and Edward. The others are still alive but have been taken away by the Volturi. I won't say more.  Bella and Edward are both 29, though Edward has been dead hundreds of years. So they are not young and stupid. I expect there will be a fight against the Volturi at some point though.  ;)

I've also been reading a number of shorts and WIPs, though I couldn't really tell you what. There's one with a Vampward that I keep missing updates on because I forget I'm reading it. So bad.  And it sounds like drotuno's A Few Tables Away will be done by next week. Actually, the last chapter should be up this weekend and there will be an epi as soon as she finishes or next Wednesday, whichever comes first.  :)

They both don't end in a cliffhanger, but the fact i know there's a next one....arggggh, i hate being a serial reader. I would rather read a series when it's complete. Then it is up to me whether I want to continue or not. But without a choice, i tend to get frustrated... I feel like it's a WIP!

HL5 and SkyGods had 0 and 1 lemon each. The lemon was even negligible, like less than 5 sentences i think. It was like fade to black type of thing.

Don't get me started on DST, ours (the UK) was this past weekend and I feel like I'm living in the Twilight Zone as I've still not changed all the clocks in our house, so I go into the Kitchen and it's 1hr ahead of the bedroom which confuses me even more than normal. It's the same thing every year and I do the same when the clocks go forward a hour too, it drives everyone nuts so the hubby or my daughter end up changing them after about a week as they know I won't do it.  ^-^

I hate that too. I swear the clock in my car is always the last....I'm not doing it so whenever hubs drives the car that's when it's changed. Idk, but dst confuses me sometimes. You spring forward, you get up later not using electricity but then it gets darker earlier so you have to use power sooner. The opposite happens when we fall back so......are we really conserving? Oh well, what do I know.

Anyone read anything by Tijan? Read Carter Reed and liked it. That's my rec for this weekend.

I know what you mean hun, we're lucky that our car's clock changes itself or otherwise that would be another clock for me to forget.  :P
I'm sure by time I don't get confused about DST I'll be on my death bed and it'll be my eureka moment.  :D :D

I love Tijan, the woman definitely knows how to write angst, I love her Broken and Screwed series and I also like her Fallen Crest Series as well.
I remember really liking Reed Carter and the sequel as well (just checked GR and realised that I've only rated CR2 and not CR  :-[ :-[
