I'm reading Wicked Sunshine by Justine Winter and the proton.is a character. You know the kind you love to hate. He's an arrogant a$$. Just started but I can tell he's not gonna get much better. I just finished Jen Armentrout's tempting the bodyguard and liked it. Alice Clayton's Nuts was really good...hilarious.
Got to get ready for work...have a good weekend guys and happy reading. If you've read something awesome please let us know. I'd like a really good fic.

Someone rec'd a story to me over at ADF but didn't know the name of author or title. This was the summary they gave: There was a fic I read once upon a time. Bella discovers that Phil isn't her biological father and that Charlie is and she goes to rainy Forks to look for him where she meets Edward who's a cop. I can't remember the title since it was so long ago. (and the author passed away).

I finished As Children After Play by Cris (AKA Judo_lin). I thought it was really good and well written.

Where my parents live? They can recycle almost everything. They also have a great program for composting food waste. Where I live? They take yard waste only in the one bin and only certain recyclables in the other. We put everything we can in the recycling and let them decide. I'm not sure if bubble wrap is actually recyclable, but it goes in LOL!

But I understand that coffee cups may not be recyclable with their lining. However, how hard would it be to measure coffee in reusable containers prior to putting in a reusable cup? What a waste. $:-\$

Thanks, I'll definitely put them on my list. I guess what I'm looking for are fanfics where Bella returns to Forks and reconnects with Charlie. The one shots I've read are in Charlie's POV when he finds out Bella is coming home. I loved them and wanted something longer if that exists. But I'd love any good rec's with Bella and Charlie great father/daughter relationship. So I'll happily read the ones you have suggested that contain a Charlie/Bella interaction.

You could always check out some of the other PTS member profiles on TWCS, FFnet, twilighted.net, etc. You are bound to find something good you haven't read.

I'm rereading Twilesque by Pienuk. I don't know if I would recommend it now. She just started the sequel and I realized I had no idea what was going on, so I'm rereading it. Frankly, I wished I hadn't read her bio before starting it. She goes through this list of what is bad in the original books. Things like that Bella was abused by her parents because she looked after them. She may have looked after Renee somewhat. But I'm thinking Charlie got along just fine so her help was just Bella's need to look after someone. Anyway, in Twilesque, she makes Bella a Mary Sue, who has been abused by her parents and schoolmates. But she is smart enough to teach the vampires things about themselves? Alice uses her gift to manipulate others to do what she wants. Emmett acts like an 8 year old. And the mating bond is crazy. So it is really starting to annoy me. There are things that I like about the story. Sigh.

I did find a decent story in her recs though. Scheme of Fate by thebugroom.

Bella was changed by our favorite nomads in Phoenix. She decides to move to Forks to live with her dad after realizing she just can't live in the sunny climate of Phoenix anymore. Who knows why her parents don't realize it, but of course she meets the Cullen on her first day of school.

I thought it was a decent retelling of Twilight with a twist.

Drotuno has finished A Few Tables Away. Really sweet Edward. And a Carlisle to hate.

My laptop keys are sticking and since my 3 year drop & spill insurance was running out tomorrow, I decided to file a claim. We will see how good they are. I put the old hard drive in and reloaded windows on it so there's nothing personal on it. If they decide it's broken and needs replacing, I don't know what they do with the drives. So Calibre may get updated but Google drive may not for a bit.
