Thread #7 - We are crazy talkers here! Join in the fun!

ADULT DISCUSSION HERE, SO TRY TO KEEP IT CLEAN! UM NO, WAIT! IF YOU ARE EASILY OFFENDED, LOOK AWAY NOW!

This is the new thread as the other was sooo long and had lots of pages. Continuation of our wonderful discussions on Twilight Fanfiction, Books, and Life in general.  But mostly Twilight fanfics... and life stuff that will get me a NOT ALLOWED statement.

Okay, here is a place to discuss what you are reading, ask for recommendations and complain about the writing.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion, so please play nice

Because we know drypen's watching

What is the coldest you guys get over in Britain?
It's definitely not as cold as Canada that's for sure, but it's been known to get down to -5C  (during the night) or on the rare occasion lower, but during the day it doesn't get much higher than 5C at this time of year.
I think we just like to complain about it being too cold as we don't get it too warm very often over here.  :P ;D

Its been unseasonable warm here in continental Europe, at 19:00 it was 15C (59F) tonight.  Tonight was also the the kids kindergarten's lantern party so I am a bit or more than a bit drunk (got to love European kids parties, where the alcohol flows freely for the parents)

I wouldn't mind a bit of snow if I was to see this outside my house (gotta love a bit of Nick  :P).  ;)
To be honest though, I don't care if it continues raining here as long as it lets up now and again and doesn't flood like the end of last year/beginning of this year as we're still sorting our house so it's liveable. And us Brits complain about it always being cold here.  ::) ::) :D :D

The snow person looks appreciative of the view!

Definitely more than a little drunk, they went and for another bottle when there was only a few of us left, but my little man was getting tired so the other parents had to that one on their own.

The Vancouver, BC area stays pretty good in the winter and they don't get much for snow and what little they do get melts right away. They get more rain than snow. Unfortunately it is very expensive to live there.  Canadian winters aren't as cold as they used to be years ago.

Is anyone watching The Voice? An incredible season!

Haven't seen the Voice at all this season - I usually watch the second night at least once in awhile.  Monday nights for me are reserved for Dancing With the Stars.  For anyone who has been watching that - Tamar Braxton formally withdrew from the show yesterday - she's had pneumonia but made it to Monday's show - unfortunately since then she's been diagnosed with blood clots on her lungs.   She's been scheduled to do a tour with someone but she's withdrawn from that too.  Too bad - her partner is Val and they had the chance to make the semi-finals and finals.  Now that she's out - looks a lot more like Bindi and Derek to win it.....

If you don't use ad blocker and would like to help the site with funds but can't afford to donate anything, could you please click on (up to) 4 ads a day as this produces revenue for the site and helps Mr A keep it free.

This is not mandatory just a polite request, so don't think that you have to do it.  :)

Enjoy getting your click-on my lovelies.  :-*

I do use adblock because the ads slow things down so much, but I'm going to start disabling it on this site once a day and clicking the ads to do my part. I wish I could afford to donate, but I'm beyond flat broke.

I've been watching, but I'm behind this week.  They do have some excellent candidates!  Once they get to the live shows the quality picks up fast.

Haven't watched it. I watch x-factor UK though. They have a filipino group, 4th Impact, in the finals. [emoji2]

OMG, colleen hoover is the bomb! Loving her November 9 book. Am halfway through and i just feel ....so much! I love the way she writes!

Hubs in HK, son sleeping at school for batch night, daughter at school fair to be fetched by me around midnight. About to go in and watch Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse to let traffic pass and kill time.

Hopefully this will remain a good friday the 13th as i have so far had 2 near crash misses... Finding parking at a crowded mall basement! I could use a drink but have to drive. TGIF!

Read Nov.9 too and loved it.
So, I've just finished Sweet Nothing by Jamie McGuire and Teresa mummert, and to say I'm confused is putting it mildly. What the hell was that? Anyone read that? What's up with the ending? I am so confused.
Let me go find something simple and predictable to read.

I'm strictly anti-Mcguire, so I haven't read it. What's so WTF about it? What's it even about?

No worries hun, I use adblock as well for the same reason or otherwise it would take me all year to post anything on here.  :D

I read November 9 and loved it, I think I rated it  :star: :star: :star: :star:, though it's a 4.5 read. I really wish they would introduce a .5 rating as it would make it easier on everyone.
Though I'm biased when it comes to CoHo as I FLOVE her and would read the phone book if she wrote it.  ^-^

I bought Sweet Nothing as I heard lots of good things about it, but I think I might leave reading it for a while now though as I don't want to anything else at the moment that will just annoy me for whatever reason.

I'm on the last book of the Harkham's series by Chanse Lowell, I never read the FF (even though it's been on my iPad for ages) so decided to read the published versions. The first two books were pretty good but this last one is really doing my head in, it seems that nearly every other sentence Adam/Edward is saying "I'm a Man!" and it's really starting to annoy me how him and Mari/Bella just leave their kids unattended to go to the garage to have sex all the time.  ::) ::)

Too much was left up to my imagination...which I have little of. Now you don't have to read the book lol
