Gorgeous!!!!!!
Tailward....you will love it. Got hubs to the airport today, and he really didn't want to go. If he said it once, he said it a thousand times this weekend. He will be gone a couple of weeks this time, but he is going back to Brazil, where he got the news of our son's bad accident 7 months ago. He has been travelling for years now, every week, somewhere new, but I swear it seems harder for him to leave every time. He wants to drag me with him, but I too have to work. It is hard when grabs both sides of my face and as he leans in for a kiss, he asks for me to beg him to stay. It made my heart hurt. *sniffles* I read a few of the May to December Romance Contest and then watched the entire 8 episodes of Outlander.......again. Maybe it is my gloom mood. Sigh .....Back to the long days and nights again this week. I hope everyone has a great week.
I've been gearing myself up for tailward for a while now... maybe it's time!
I didn't take very many....I have to always make the crucial decision between music and photos as far a space is concerned on my phone...Music always wins! but Mr PA did, I'll get some from him, he's flying to Durban tonight until the 13th but will get him to email them. I went to Culloden on Sunday (alone, left Mr PA on the slopes ) became fast bosom pals with the director of visitor's centre (flashed my NUJ pass ), they have just reopened having done some renovations, but it was so cold I couldn't tramp around looking for the Clan Fraser stone, which I really wanted to see, but I did have a bit of a cry... You'll get why once you get to the end of DIA! I'm going back as soon as I can, (on my own) I'm in love with the Highlands and the people, so many red-heads, I was like a pig in sh!t. My favorites frm May To December Romance Contest mantioned in my previous post are:Star Shaped Heart You are not allowed to view links. Register or LoginA lovelorn girl. A lonesome cowboy. An anonymous donation and a pink jade butterfly. Sometimes love doesn't just fall into your lap. Sometimes you need a healthy dose of luck to find it.Beautiful, beautiful story. Unexpected and amazingly written. The other one I liked is also Oblivious. Great story. I hope that maybe authors will decide to continue them once the contest is finished as they definitely have potential.
I read both of these and liked them. I did however flounce two because the subject/situation had a serious ick factor for me - doctor/barely legal patient. Maybe it is because I have 2 daughters in college. You are not allowed to view links. Register or LoginYou are not allowed to view links. Register or Login
Has the comp ended and its now open to judging or are there more entrants to come? And which pretty lady is going to take up where Astro left off and compile these wonderful stories for us into one doc? I've been trying to figure it out to no avail....
It is voting time.
I think it's finished as I've not received any emails in the last few days about new stories. I was thinking the same thing as it'd be so much easier to read them together, I've been trying to read them separately but given up. EDIT: I might of figured out how to make the comp entries into one epub. I probably won't be able to sort it out properly until I get home from hospital tomorrow, but I'll give it a go and let y'all know if I can actually do it or not. Thank god, someone knows.
Yeah! I figured it out it's a plugin called Epubmerge, you just install it, stick all the URLs in the downloader and it merges them into one 'anthology'
I just found those Split & Merge plugins - could of done with knowing about them ages ago.
That has got to be the romantic and heartbreaking thing I've heard. Sending hugs your way hun.
I forgot just how gorgeous it is up there, I so need to re-visit Scotland again soon. And we got a glimpse of Mr PA. [/b][/center]That makes a change - an author sending peeps our way.
Wait?! I just realised....What are you doing in hospital, did I miss something over the weekend?

I was about to comment the same thing. Loopy all is ok right?
You ladies are not helping me save money .....I would love to go, would hate the plane ride, but still. Hubs has asked me where I wanted to go this year, it might just be this !!! Just a few questions:So do I fly to London/Amerstam , take trains, etc or Fly to Edinburgh and rent a car and head out on our own and just do Scotland (I guess tech it is upper UK now). We loved going all over the countryside when we lived in Germany and visiting the castles. Do I go in Summer (Jul or Aug) or Fall (October)? What are some of the MUST DO's if we go to the UK. I will only have a week, so no 10 page list. LOLI will be nice and not do genealogy. I am stuck back in the 1650's on my father's and mother's side is about the same time frame. Father's side is from Wales and Mother's is from UK. And if we come, Loopy and Demaris.....I soooooo would be smiling at your other halves. Well, I take that back.....Loopy's hubs I will be smiling at his face. Demaris might be at his muffin.
It's for nothing serious, I'm just going to have an op on my sinus so I can finally breathe properly as for the last 20 years since I first broke my nose I've had sinus problems and then breaking it another 7 times hasn't really helped.I was suppose to go in and have this op last year but broke my nose again, thanks to the hubby, so they wouldn't do it.
Imma try real hard to see if the 5th time is a charm to get through DIA. It is not for the lack of wanting to. I WANT me some Jamie. Huffs.....mind over matter huh. Weird and I guess stereotypical....... I thought most redheads were Irish, not Scottish. Until I saw Jamie as a redhead, I just didn't realize. In fact, I have to listen closely to tell the dialect apart sometimes. Interesting and learned something new. I will look out of place with my dark blonde hair and green eyes huh. Hubs.....well he is a silver fox now
