Hey guys I was wondering if anyone could recommend me some complete m rated Edward and Bella fanfics similar to harkahm's case by Scarlettsplay and beautiful savage by readingmama, where Edward is sorta childish, sweet, and innocent and Bella helps him 'cope' with the real world, etc...

Any recommendations are appreciated! Thanks!

Here is one.

Feral

When Bella signed up for a summer archeology program, she thought she'd be exploring fossils and sedimentary rock. Little did she know, she would find herself the primary caretaker for a man with no verbal capacity or human interaction skills-a feral man

But I would do Fridays at Noon as a movie before this one. What the readers of 50 shades want is soft p0rn.  Not a real movie.  And that's not PG rated.   ;)
Please tell me 50 isn't going to be rated PG!   I was hoping at minimum it would be R rated.

I finally got a chance to watch the trailer.  Jamie looks good and might pull this off, but the girl playing Ana actually looks like she thinks she looks in the book, rather than someone blind to her own beauty (with one exception - when she's in the hang glider).
I agree something was off about the girl...  it was like she was trying really hard to look plain and ordinary or something.  I can't put my finger on it.    I like the guy playing Christian well enough.

Question for my fellow Kindle Users,  Do you use AZW or Mobi Format?  and which one do you think is better?
I use MOBI whenever I get the chance...  I think azw is primarily just things that you purchase directly from amazon that can only be used on kindle, right?  (I use kindle, but my fics are all mobi)

I loved the Up in the Air and crossfire  series. My main complaint about xfire was that it was supposed to just be a trilogy. Now its going to be 5 books!  >:( it really could have been done in 3 but she started introducing other characters rather than tying the loose ends...
I loved the crossfire series, but for some reason I did not like Up In The Air at all...  I don't remember much about it except that it was a hair better than the This Man series which I also didn't like.   I think the problem was none of them could compare to Gideon in my head! and they didn't bring anything new so I got bored.   I agree, wish the crossfire series had stuck to being a trilogy!

Err? Hello? A blanket agreement? You should know me better than that! I would tell you , if you asked, because you're a Padawan but I wouldn't tell Loopy, for instance, and I sure as hell wouldn't want anyone to tell me.  >:D  :D
Thank you for realizing that I am just barely a Padawan and still need to be treated with care in the club! My inner-angst-hoor is very F R A G I L E!

Holy sh... I just was curious and wanted to read the first sentences. I inhaaaaled the first chapter instead! This is definitely the next thing I'll read. I hope it continues like this, because I liked it a lot! I couldn't stop though I should work hard.

I'm now reading For The Summer by camoozle and I flove it hard!!!!! It's in the index and also still on ff.net

It's really really long, but I don't mind in this case, because it's fantastic and it isn't too wordy! Each chapter describes one summer. So the story goes on for a lot of years, but it never gets boring. It's really angsty, but the prologue sounded like HEA. Not that I'd mind a Non-HEA, but for those who might want to read it. This one goes to my all-time-favorite-list.

So are you guys saying Pressed for Time and For the Summer are both on your all-time-fav lists?   Wow.   I guess I need to get those on the ol' kindle asap.  Oilily --- the one you were talking about inhaling the first chapter... was that Pressed for Time?

I'm almost finished with Mystery Man and have thoroughly enjoyed it.   This action genre with the kidnappings and drug dealers etc isn't really my thing, but how could I not love Cabe!    He is just yummy.

omg LOL you all were not lying about kristen ashley being super descriptive in her earlier novels. Almost two pages to describe ONE outfit  :D

Quote
“I was real and I looked like that.
“Wow,” I whispered.
I was wearing ice blue too. An ice blue velvet gown that had this kick freaking ass sheen at the tip of the pile that “looked iridescent white, like the shimmer on top of new snow. The neckline was square, had thick, braided embroidery around the edge and it shoved my breasts up so I was giving some serious cleavage. The sleeves of the dress hugged my body from shoulder to wrist, a sharp point of embroidered-edged material coming down my hand that hooked at the end around my middle finger. The top of the dress, from bosoms to hips, skimmed my body to perfection. The skirt had a slight flare and when I tested it by kicking out at the back, a slight train too. The dress had a no waistline, simply flowing elegantly from bodice to hem and there was an intricate silver or… I peered closer… no, platinum chain liberally splashed with aquamarines and dusted with diamonds that hung low on my hips, a long single length of it hanging down, winking through the folds of my skirts, weighted at the hem by a large, twinkling aquamarine.
I was wearing a choker necklace that matched the belt and earrings of the same dangled from my ears. My white-blonde hair was a mass of long, thick twists that were pulled “off my forehead somehow but hung down my back, chest and shoulders. I had shimmering pink on my cheeks, a gloss of pink on my lips, an iridescent blue on my eyelids, a dark blue rimming my eyes and a sparkle of pearlescent white around my temples, the same powder but applied less opaque dusted my chest.

“But the best, the absolute best, was the crown.
Yes, I said… the crown!
I was wearing a crown low on my forehead and however it was fashioned it was heavy but comfortable, something soft and maybe furry protecting my skin from the metal.
And it looked like icicles shooting up and slightly out, crusted with glinting diamonds and sprinkled with glimmering aquamarines.
It was freaking phenomenal.
I lifted the heavy skirts up, up and saw a pair of winter white, low-heeled, supple suede boots that kept going to over my knees. Above that, skintight, woven stockings that were also winter white and looked (and felt) like they were made of cashmere. Up I pulled the skirt and I saw winter white satin tap pants dripping with icicle lace at the bottoms, over this were satin garters holding up the stockings but I saw the boned point of the bottom of a satin bustier at my navel and I felt more boning that I couldn’t see against my skin at my ribs.
Freaking great underwear.”

Excerpt From: Kristen, Ashley. “Wildest Dreams.”

Just skipping right along with these..

Some of the older pdfs are hard or impossible to convert because of the way they were created.  I think they were, in essence, a picture or scan, rather than a conversion from one format to another.  You might see if you can convert it to a word document, do any necessary clean up, then convert to epub.
I tried converting it to text and word, and it all ended up with the same problem - strange characters instead of letters.  When I tried to copy and paste from the pdf, the same thing happened, so it must have been how it was created

I saved a version of it to an html file.  Calibre will convert that to an epub without a problem.

I'm not sure if I'm using the same version you are though. And my Calibre is currently running downloads, so I have to wait to try converting it.

I also always select Enable heuristic processing? Blanking on the actual wording.  the Heuristic thing.  Enable it.  I have less errors when I do this.  But Ficfangirl is right as far as some are not convertible. I'll post this to the 152 once I convert it.

I uploaded hwimsey's  The Lost Boys in epub here - You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

It didn't create a linked TOC for some reason.  And I don't really have time to figure out how to do it right now.  Though if anyone wants to try, the html version will be in a zip file in my google drive by tomorrow sometime.  ;)

Thanks so much for converting it for me.  I always check your drive for epubs or anything other than pdf before trying to convert, I forget about html.  I tried the heuristic processing but it gave the same result.  I guess I need to read about the all the options on the convert tab to see if there are any that can help with the deletion of the second repeated letter in some files.

I was going to have to steal tablet time from my 2.5 year daughter in order to read the pdf.

REFRAIN!  Even with the flouncing gene by the time you realise you should be, it'll be too late. Its one of those car crash fics (disguised as angst) where you just keep on reading because you can't look away, they lurch from one argument to another for no apparent reason and the bits in between are held together with lemons. And we've all had a Bella or two we want to punch, in this you not only want to punch her, you want her disembowelled; Edward too, to a less extend.

Now that's just crap, why would any read need that level of outfit description....is it to hide the fact it has a weak plot? One has to wonder....

Oh my, really didn't enjoy staceleo's Grand Slam. Normally, am more for humor...but this bordered on ridiculous for me with all the nicknames and snarkiness of Bella. Somehow, i don't recall Curve Ball was written like this...or maybe am just not in a forgiving mood  :(

Had to erase the bad taste and went to one of my sure hits and read Contextually speaking by Cosmogirl7481.
"Bella spends her days surrounded by books and her nights immersed in them. Reading but not living. Imagining but not experiencing. One night changes everything. A story about wrong numbers and a stranger with all the right words."

It's smexy and intriguing, the first few paragraphs so reminded me of our convo here about what makes a book popular, it was eerie  :) :D

She is certainly descriptive with the outfits...  I am not into the fashion scene so typically I just skim over that kind of stuff...  but with Wildest Dreams I soaked in ever detail she gave me since she was describing a whole different world/time.   What are you thinking of the book so far?  I LOVED it.   I thought it was the perfect romantic fairy tale to escape with!

I never thought I'd say this but I've just finished re-reading Salacious and I liked it so much better this time round then the first time I read it.  ??? ???
I was really disappointed the last time I read it as there was a lot of hype surrounding it and I didn't think it lived up to any of it.
I don't think it's a Top 10 read by any means, but it's definitely one of the better written fics I've read.  :)

LOL! This is why I used the quotes around the "angst".  It usually ends up being what some "writer" thinks should be angst. I also quote the writer as most of them really can't write well either.

Speaking of angst, I tried to read Pressed for Time. I didn't make it through the first chapter.  Though I did read the last one, which was an epilogue.  And I started the second to the last chapter.  I may read it eventually, but frankly, it starts out really depressing.
